    If you have the patience to fully explore the narrative of Where Wind Becomes Quiet, you can’t help but feel emotionally invested in the life of a tormented writer who is trying desperately to remember his past. Just be sure to have a box of tissues handy, as you will certainly need them.

    I've got an ambivalent impression on this game. Firstly, about its pros:

    1) Post-Soviet entourage: somewhere in an abandoned village, where no one is left except the wind (yep!) and the protagonist. If you're a Stalker and/or Metro fan, this game is probably for you. It looks modest but tasteful.
    2) There are animals with which you have to interact, and transport which will be allowed to ride near the end.
    3) The bits of Dear Esther and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture: notes and newspapers here and there, voiceovers of the protagonist and his daughter, riddle-flashes. The last ones are usually not complicate, but there're exceptions.
    4) Despite the overall sad mood of the game, it contains a few humorous moments: a jerky beholder that speaks from the underground, the quests with animals, sprints from the potato gun (yep!), a mini-riddle with the mine's name.

    An odd thing: there's a boss here!

    Well, now about its cons:
    1) The game runs slow on average PCs, please don't forget this.
    2) Some riddles, IMHO, are not logical. I could not resolve part of them solely (although I'm a big fan of Portal 1&2, and The Talos Principle), so I had to use external help. The asphalt's riddle is the most I hate, but I think that someone will rather praise it.

    My verdict: this game has a demo, so please play it; if you like it, buy the game.    … Expand
