Darktide is an epic, spectacular and very funny co-op action game, but the lack of content and slow progress are its worst enemy. In the future, it could be one of the best Warhammer video games ever.
  2. If you are a fan of horde-like games then Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will no doubt scratch that itch. Whilst the gameplay can become repetitive and the grind seems to offer little value at this stage, I cannot deny that I had a blast playing it with a group of friends. Some incredible “oh crap” moments occurred during combat when we were overrun by a horde of enemies and had to work together to stay alive. It’s moments like these that keep you coming back for more. As this is a games-as-a-service title, we expect many more improvements and features to be added with time to enhance the experience and features. [Review in Progress]

Much like its endless enemies, Darktide's many small issues add up to a real nuisance - but stupendous atmosphere and vicious action just about prevails.

An intro into the Warhammer universe that'll make you want to dive all the way in. Gothic organs blast as you and three other friends blast through hordes and hordes of decaying enemies. [Unprofessional Friday]

Knowing Fatshark’s previous work, I’m confident Darktide will be in much better shape in just a few months’ time. And perhaps, in a year or two, after a couple of expansions and numerous updates, it may be something extraordinary. As things stand right now, it’s only very good… which is hard to complain about. A fantastic setting with tons of replayability and the same old juicy combat? There’s plenty to get sucked into, and no signs of slowing down. [Polygon Recommended]
  6. On high difficulty, class roles and weapon choices form a complex interdependent mechanism.

Horrible Launch. Missing a suite of QoL features that were implemented in VT2. Essentially Fatshark wasted the entire development cycle of VT2Horrible Launch. Missing a suite of QoL features that were implemented in VT2. Essentially Fatshark wasted the entire development cycle of VT2 and learned nothing. As of right now there is a bug that makes you take extra damage when you have over 100 toughness, not even fixed day 1. BUT HEY THE CASH SHOP WORKS.

    Totally disappointed. Fatshark should ashamed.

This game is still full of bugs, and some of them are still not fixed since weeks.

This game is not finished, and they say that this is a final version!
    - The game keeps crashing again and again.
    - The optimization is a real disaster (even with the settings at their lowest)
    - the crafting system is missing, although it was announced.
    - it misses other characters (vs Vermintide)
    - There are a lot of ergonomic problems. A lot of things in the interface have been very badly thought.
    - At the creation of the character, you are asked several questions, with the validation of these choices, to know a little better the type of character that you take, your planet, your life etc.. I love the LORE, but this is not it, because there is no immersion in the game according to the choices. you have to go through 3-4 windows of choices to ... nothing... No interest.
    - The number of different bugs reported on the official forum shows how the quality control is a disaster.

This game has a lot of potential, and they should have waited, at least, 6 more months before being clearly announced in final version.
It's a bit of a shame though, they're not afraid of anything...

You pay for a game that is in early access, but certainly not a final version...

Darktide is raw, with many bugs and crushes game, with bad optimization, and with only 4 charecters without classes, unlike warhammer vermentide 2
