    What a weak attempt at a game. Blizzard should close shop. The graphics, controls, and overall finish is so sub par for a company that brought us some of the best games ever made.

    Близарды, просто позорники! Такую чушь сделать, вернее тот случай, лучше не лезь. Все же было нормально, добавили просто дебильный фон, который ужасно лагает, его нельзя отключить и кучу не нормально работающих функций, при этом нет перехода на струю версию. Игра просто бред я не верю что это близард видимо их взломали - студенты.Близарды, просто позорники! Такую чушь сделать, вернее тот случай, лучше не лезь.     Hello there. I'm an old veteran from Warcraft III. I played it a lot back in the day and I was what we called back then a map maker. I was part of the map making community and made maps which become popular such as Titan Land. In today's language, maps are considered "mods", although it doesn't feel right to me to call them as such. Basically, Warcraft III comes with a tool that allows you to create your own scenarios with the game's assets. This allows you to create all sorts of things: Melee maps for normal games or special scenario which thanks to the power of the tool can amount to ANYTHING. You really can do ANYTHING with this tool and more importantly, you can share it and play with EVERYONE. If Warcraft III is known for something, it's that. The online feature of Warcraft III called BattleNet allows you to play with anyone worldwide, and the map making community brought forth so many fun maps to play, so many of them throughout the years. Some of them are rather simple. But some of them are immense projects made by multiple people, creating their own assets in the forms of model, modifying the game so much sometimes it scarcely looks like Warcraft III. A lot of blood and sweat went into those projects. My own map Titan Land was something I worked on for at least a few years. Websites such as the hiveworkshop cropped up in order to build a community of map maker that would share their projects to the world and help one another. On there I uploaded my map Titan Land, kept it up to date to the point where I had to leave the community because I could no longer put so much of my time on Warcraft III. I openly stated that I would stop development of my map and let anyone who felt like it pick it up. And the community turned my map into something else, something beautiful. A proper roleplaying map. I was proud of it when I came back few moths later to see what had become of it, I knew it was in good hand.

    Why I made you read all this? Simply to tell you that the map making community is beautiful. It's one of the less toxic environment (if at all) I've ever been in ever. We help one another, we're welcoming and we encourage you to make the best maps you can for the sake of the players who will play them. But in Reforged... that community is in jeopardy. I remind you that custom games is the beating heart of Warcraft III. Without a strong map making community, no amazing new project will be hosted onto the custom games of BattleNet and it will become stale. It's from the map making community that the extremely popular map DotA was born. The popularity of DotA (to the map making community's dismay at the time) was so strong that about 80% of the games hosted on the custom games were EASILY a version of that map. DotA was so popular, that people bought the game solely for playing that map. Tournament were hosted for that map. A community of its own was born around that map. In the end, we also know that the map was to become its very own game with the birth of DotA 2. and that seems to have bothered Blizzard a bit. So much so that Reforged made the biggest mistake it could have done regarding that...

    When reforged was announced, I went back to Warcraft III, opened the old editor which I loved so much and began making a project in expectation of Reforged's release. I was really hyped up. When Reforged released I was unfortunately nowhere near done with my project. I eagerly opened the new editor to continue my project and noticed that there was a new EULA (End User License Agreement). I'm actually the kind of person who read those. My expression which was happy and hyped up turned to ash as I read that license. The wording was, to put it bluntly, evil. A map maker who used that tool forfeits all rights of ownership to Blizzard and risks having the project removed or taken away from him/her at the discretion of Blizzard and can suffer "disciplinary actions" if they do not comply...

    This sent a shock throughout the map making community. Worst still, the old editor is no longer accessible despite the maps being forward compatible. There is no telling how the community will deal with that. Personally, I stopped developing in utter disgust. Due to the restriction on third party material, some of the most creative projects have also stopped. The disappearance of custom campaigns (mods which allows multiple custom maps to be played in succession in a campaign style) also killed those projects.

    If this is how Blizzard treat us, never again, will I purchase a Blizzard product.    … Expand

    I bought the classic game full price to play on my potato computer since 20 years ago (500MB ram, celeron, 60GB hard driver with onboard graphic card). The game still work flawlessly. I have better PC as i grew up and today, when I finally have time for some classic warcraft 3 game, all I have is 1 hour update, 30 GB less SDD, crash on launch and after a few search, I figure out that II bought the classic game full price to play on my potato computer since 20 years ago (500MB ram, celeron, 60GB hard driver with onboard graphic card). The game still work flawlessly.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is games that are unfinished, there are games that are bad. However very few games are both and drag another game down with them. This piece of trash is one of those. I been looking forward to another WC RTS for over a decade and if this was just a HD mod for the orignal I would have been happy. However that is not what Activison-Blizzard (A-B) decided to do. Not only did they lie and keep lying in there adversiment on how the game looks, not only is the game unfinished and rushed. No this game had the audacity to take out featuers both from the "remastered" version as well as from the orignal version. Seeminlgy in an attempt to force people to buy the new version old fixes got broken, featuers like **** unite shadows taken out of the classic game and made "reforged only". That is **** and absolutly disgusts me. This was the last game I wanted to get after Blizzards **** show with Hong Kong. I had pre ordered (looking back a very very very stupid idea) already so why not. It was a game I loved, with many mods I loved. What could go wrong. Well apprently a lot when we talking about A-B. On the topic of mods, not only do many not work anymore with the old version, but A-B still butthurt that THEY slept on Dota and didn't make it into a game until others did seems to still hurt them and there wallets. So now all Costume Maps are owned by them and free to exploite with zero compensation. Disgusting. A-B is one step short (Microtransactions) from having done everything wrong. That is all is before the technicalle issues, limitations to one profile and much more. I am fighting for a refund because they trying to steal my money as they didn't deliver what they promised. My lawyer will now deal with that.

    So **** Activison Blizzard, this game is an insult to the legacy of Blizzard, Warcraft and Fas. Do not buy this game.    … Expand

    No Blizzard, just no. Not only did you ruin a game loved by millions, you destroyed the original copies. So much got removed and everything promised is a lie. Old Blizzard is dead.

    Это была моя первая игра, за которую я вернула деньги, сейчас мне 23, и я играла в него последние 15 лет. То что я купила, не было на неё похоже, мой комп перегревался, а фпс падали до 15, слава богу это только в самом начале, когда людей нужно завлекать в продукт, ага. Низкое качество графики и отсутствие теней,    Рефорджет, так много букв и так много боли, я ждала эту игру с близкона.
    Это была моя первая игра, за которую я вернула деньги, сейчас мне 23, и я играла в него последние 15 лет.     ПС. Конечно о покойном говорят, только хорошее, но это не тот случай, игра ужасна

When I was young and in high school I spent a LOT of time playing Warcraft III, I loved it, I loved custom maps, I loved the campaign, and I was **** at competitive. I"m finally going to buy a PC of my own for the first time in my life later this year). I fell in love with it and I so badly want to fall in love with it again. Here's hoping another absolute **** gem of my childhood, FF7, doesn't crash and burn like this bull**** did. B/c FF15, while alright, was ultimately disappointing.

    More and more do I see people whow make preorders getting burned. I know so, so many people get very excited to play games, but way WAY too often are people finding themselves disappointed at letting money be put toward these failures.

    I didn't buy reforged because I saw this coming, however my own old copy of wc3 is now **** with it? Go to hell blizzard, played your games since wc1 and now I have to be careful and refuse to buy your games for years. Good to see Activision managed to ruin one of the best game making companies in history.

Promises not kept on all fronts.     Absolutely disgusting. This game was the gold standard of what made Blizzard great. Without it your following to WoW, Hearthstone, literally anything, would have not been as solid. Then the execs go, "it's a strategy game who cares" not realizing it's a representation to so many as the soul of Blizzard. Half baked to the point it's worse than the original as far as stability, a decade later. Just play the original. We should have known when we were told to use our phones for Diablo. The fan base for Warcraft is not full of idiots and take a stand unlike sports game advocates.    … Expand

    За что 1300 рулей? Меню тормозит на пк за 150к! На выставке в 2018 году показывали одну игру, а в итоге купил совсем другую.

    Can't join custom games. Always crashes. Randomly kicked from servers. Extreme lag in offline mode. Get stuck in lobby chat after being kicked from lobby. Game tells me that server does not exist when it clearly does. Only thing that works is campaign mode.

    i cant bilieve the black screan issue is still not fixed with game that has been since the beta and now on live...i bought the game and i cant even play it!!!!!

For me Warcraft 3 was a great classic and being honest Blizzard really didn't have to much for me to have been happy. A graphic update would have been fine. What they did to Starcraft to me at least was great and wish they had done that.

    I do not care that they ruined this game, however what I do care about is the fact they ruined the original version with this as well. I've been playing on and off since I was in middle school and now it's just gone. Thanks.

    This is a disgrace! Promised contents are nowhere to be found, some old functions are gone for whatever reasons. The only thing that is an "improvement" here is the graphic, but other than that there's not a single upgrade but instead downgrades. This "game" is not just downgraded, it's false advertised. This is not Warcraft 3: Reforged, this is Warcraft 3: DEforged, a massive scam!

    This is a joke of a game. Corporate greed of Activision Blizzard is boundless. They not only released a crap product, they downgraded the old one, ruined custom games and stole IP of other people. Not only that they refuse refunds, censor people and ban them. Blizzard is no more and this game is its gravestone.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
