    Blizzard is really breaking new ground! Their release was not only catastrophically bad, but it also robbed me of a masterpiece I already owned. They one-upped themselves.

    The problem here goes beyond the game itself.
    Activision Blizzard has proven that it is unable to provide a worthy gaming experience. And it is not fair to blame Activision, because at the moment they are one company, guided by one common purpose: to make money. That's all. It's sad, for a fan like me, to see Blizzard in this pitiful conditions.

    EULA gives all rights of anything you do or create to Blizzard with no credit given (not even a name) if they decide to market it later because they passed up on DOTA way back (keep an eye out for that in SC2 now). Promises not kept on all fronts.     Absolutely disgusting. This game was the gold standard of what made Blizzard great. Without it your following to WoW, Hearthstone, literally anything, would have not been as solid. Then the execs go, "it's a strategy game who cares" not realizing it's a representation to so many as the soul of Blizzard. Half baked to the point it's worse than the original as far as stability, a decade later. Just play the original. We should have known when we were told to use our phones for Diablo.     This is, without a doubt, the worst video game release of all time. To completely destroy a TRUE CLASSIC like Warcraft 3...well, it takes an Activision kind of special REE-tahr-did to accomplish this.

    I got forced to download that undescribable Thing because i own WC3 since my Childhood and this one here Right now is horrible.

    -15minutes blackscreen at starting
    -Menu doesn't work Right
    -Can't join any custom games

    -Dated in-game UI -No internal MMR matchmaking -No custom hotkeys in-game -No option to turn off enemy chat through allied/enemy menu/turn off chat in game. I think you still type /ignore in game....in 2020 -No profiles/no losses recorded. -Linked accounts earn the brand new portraits (really dumb).     You can clearly see lack of resources devoted to the development of this game. A year and 3 months and they barely passed the Blizzcon demo. I think they were waiting for model assets from China for the majority of the year. After that, they fixed some bugs and mostly worked on polishing the art.

    I prepaid W3 Reforged at 2018's Blizzcon in the moment when this 'suprise' was announced. And what we see now: main menu is a Chrome web site? Slow and freezing? Are you kidding me? This is a shame Blizzard, refund my moneys now.

    I've been buying and playing Blizzard games since the first Warcraft back in early 90s. I have every single one of them, all Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, then Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, played WoW for more than 10 years too. Not a fanboy though. For the first time I asked and obtained a refund. This is complete garbage, an insult to almost 30 years of successful Blizzard games.

    Warcraft 3 Reforged is not what was advertised or promised. Very disappointed to say the least. Thankfully I was able to get a refund, and suggest if you're not happy to do the same. Just google "How to get Warcraft 3 Reforged Refund" and follow the process, which takes about a minute. Do not let AAA developers get away with this kind of behavior, it's straight up disgusting.

    To get the short list out of the way, I'll discuss the pros. The reskinning is great, and not only updates the unit models and environment with better graphics, but updates the in-game icons and objects for cleaner visuals and optimization.     Now, unfortunately, onto the real meat: the cons. There are enough cons, with a legitimate amount of depth to them, that I feel Blizzard deserves the backlash 100% for this release. It's borderline bait-and-switch, if not ACTUAL bait-and-switch. The trailers and promos promised - in no small detail - that this would be a revamped WC3 experience - new models, updated cinematics, new voiceovers, and pacing and lore updates to bring it in line with WoW's lore retcons and alterations. It would be WC3, but...y'know...REFORGED as a new version of the experience.

    Out of all the positive, shiny promises made, only the reskinning happened. They walked back voiceovers (to retain the feel of WC3? Yeah, sure...) and there are no alterations or updates to the campaigns or storylines whatsoever. They sold this game on the promises of a handful of core "upgrades", then gave us one. And not only that, they seem to have royally screwed up online play. Connectivity issues and glitches plagued the game at launch, and they added a harsh EULA clause that - understandable or not - basically spells out "WE OWN YOUR CONTENT", which...isn't the friendliest or subtlest way or imparting that knowledge to consumers, and essentially demotivates any potential content creators for their online community - which is a major aspect.

    Not only that, but let's say you aren't a fan of Reforged and you'd rather stick to the old tried-and-true WC3 you've played for over a decade. Nope. Reforged gobbled it up. You can't play the old WC3 client anymore.

    And there are plenty of glitches and bugs in the game that didn't exist in the original, so when people say "they made it worse", they actually have a valid point.

    It's a shame that Blizzard took a beloved classic game and promised to raise it up to modern standards with improvements, only to gut it and slap a shiny new coat of paint on it for those.    … Expand

    This is not better than the original, let me say that again, a REMAKE is not better than the original. Actually it has a lot of the original residing inside it, like they copy and pasted some of it, a lot of it is actually worse. One of the only things that is actually improved is the character models, in 2020, Blizzard only cares enough to improve character models. Lovely

    I would rather use mods and import WoW characters and building design to the original Warcraft. Yet, they updated that one too. In 2002 and 2003 this game created a revolution. The current management team have no idea what they have and what are they doing. Это надо было постараться, я вот всегда думал компании запрещают критикую и судятся со сторонними разработчиками мол нет нельзя это делать это наше и им плевать что на это было потрачено сил и времени а главное желание сделать это!!! Не знаю к чему я веду наверное Близард такие все правильные а сами нанимают сторонних разработчиков загоняют их в кротчайшие сроки и в итоги уДно пробито !!!     the most brazen deception of users once loved by all the company. On the sales page of the game still refers to additions to the storyline and cinematic cutscenes. Don't clean up to sell more. But this is pure impudent deception and the assessment is deserved.

    This is a terrible game. A huge number of bugs, FPS sags, the game crashes every 10 minutes. I will never buy games from Blizzard again. You are the worst company.

    They promised us nostalgic trip in new surroundings, but we received sack of bugs, poor optimization, graphical downgrade and same cutscenes.

    Все уже итак знают проблемы Reforged, так что я просто напишу то, что разозлило меня: 1. Уничтожен клиент классического Warcraft; 2. Навязано дешевое главное меню с интерфейсом уровня браузерки; 3. Переработанная графика не доделана, из-за чего смотрится убого; 4. Предзаказ не оправдан - выход игры в первоначально заявленную    Максимальная халтура, пренебрежение, лицемерие и жадность.

    Все уже итак знают проблемы Reforged, так что я просто напишу то, что разозлило меня:
    1. Уничтожен клиент классического Warcraft;
    2. Навязано дешевое главное меню с интерфейсом уровня браузерки;
    3. Переработанная графика не доделана, из-за чего смотрится убого;
    4. Предзаказ не оправдан - выход игры в первоначально заявленную дату не состоялся, никаких новостей о разработке не было - просто собрали деньги и заставили томиться в ожидании;
    5. Озвучка хороша только местами;
    6. Помимо моделек, текстур и анимаций ничего не поменяли - это обычный рескин;
    7. В процессе разработки сломали движок (это, кстати, все тот же JASS) - появилась куча багов.

    Русская озвучка Артаса это провал! После оригинала, это без эмоциональный не вытягивающий унылый голос. Просто плюнули в душу. Такой легендарный персонаж и такая слабая озвучка.
    А графика? Показывали же другую, или я что то пропустил? Молчу уже про невыполненные обещания по поводу кат сцен и расширенной компании. Оптимизация оставляет желать лучшего.. Бывает на пустом    Ну что? Перековали?

    И да.. Верните классический Warcraft в том виде в котором все его знают 18 лет включая локализацию!!! Вы просто взяли и украли его!!!
    В общем как вы к фанатам, так и фанаты к вам. Все просто.
    Все что у вас получилось перековать, это отношение фанатов к вам.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
