    It's a disappointment, yes the graphics were updated. Fine, cool, great. They also removed a number of assets from the game as well as the ORIGINAL Wc3 game. They want to monopolize the fan-bases intellectual property and moral rights so they can keep all custom maps made by modders, map-makers and in general anyone who wants to make something cool. It is riddled with bugs, the art style is inconsistent and confusing, the models are locked at 20 fps, and the game is lacking basic features like multiplayer ladder and profiles. All this stuff was already solved in WC3 Classic .. wait, that game doesn't exist anymore either!

    Never has a fan favourite like Blizzard fallen so low.    I can not express how disappointed I am with this game.     I just watched a friend play the game for a solid 3 hours, it's still Warcraft III and is still one of the best RTS games every made. That said, go pirate the original because they overrode it with Reforged on Battle.net and that is never, EVER a good move, but more importantly Blizzard doesn't deserve your money.

    The terms of service of the world editor were changed so that you effectively sign over your rights as a creative if you use it meaning that if anything you make ever becomes as popular as DotA Blizzard is free to grab it, pretend it's their work and of course earn money off of it. Custom games are what kept WCIII alive for almost two decades and the creative freedom of modding is one of the staples of PC gaming, to go against it is a Goddamn crime.
    With all that said, even without all the controversy, it's not worth your money. You effectively only get a graphics overhaul that you may not even like (I know I don't) albeit some missions seem to have been significantly altered or remade entirely, I've only seen one thus far but there might be more.
    Regardless, Warcraft III is a significant chunk of my childhood and the amount of disrespect it has received from the very people whose careers exist because of it is sickening, don't give Blizzard you money, don't support them on this, pirate the game and play it the way the real Blizzard intended.    … Expand

    Setting up a field to harvest the next gen of custom games. Why think of it yourself when someone can just do it for you? Feels like this was the real motive behind this shell. This could have really been something, but at the end of the day it was a cash grab done in the worst way.

    They delivered a terrible product. I pre-ordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cut scenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB.

    How very sad, that we no longer live in a society where every studio can provide their best work and keep true to their promises.

    The changes are beyond underwhelming and does not bring back any sort of nostalgia that I couldn’t find for free on my original copy.

It is a shame the new idea is to claim the efforts of others on the creation of the custom games, re-make and keep the games at should like on starcraft re-make. A true game would have more than a blatant cash grab on an already existing game

    Failing a "Remaster" is something, forcing the players to replace the old, working game with it is a whole new level. It means even 15 years after the release, you're not safe from the editor screwing the game you bought by forcing you to download "patchs".

    Few mounth ago, Activision did something similar with Crash Bandit Racing, promising the absence of microtransaction, and implementing them 3 weeks later, pass the refound conditions.

    We buy a game, and if we don't want it to change, we should be able to keep the version we like. The contrary is an horrible view of the game as service era, which no player wants.

    This affair is not just an image of what Blizzard has become, it is, literaly, Activision Blizzard manualy destroying a Blizzard game.    … Expand

    Really messed up this port. Number one biggest complaint is that Blizzard changed the terms of service so they own all mods made through the editor. Number 2 is that the affects the original game with this remaster. Honestly I wish they would just throw away Reforged.

В русской версии озвучка Артаса и Джайны ужасна. Невозможно нормально с ней сконцентрироваться, голоса абсолютно не подходящие и это я не играл в старую версию!!! Я еще верю в близард но пока что 0.     Not at all what was promised, it's just the old warcraft but with bugs and "updated models" that look like they were made for a mobile game in China, animation is not up to blizzard standards at all, but with this game released, who knows what blizzard standard is any more.     For the upcoming 2018, I liked the beautiful models, and they were changed for the release of the game. Engraving of infantry shields (Alliance) changed, there was a symbolism of "lorderon" and now it is not, Russian voice acting hack, where bright cut scenes, increasing the resources of units, additional companies

    Blizzard, I hope you take note of these reviews and do all in your power to step away from Activision and go back to your roots. We dont want flashy cinematics, we want our games back.

    I don't know what game the Critics are playing, or if they are under pressure from their companies to leave a good review, but it's evident they haven't play WC3 reforged for more than a few hours, My Review: 1. The game is buggy as hell, from glitches in terrain, to sound turning off and on randomly (ambience for me) and colours    I had to create an account to leave a review.

    I don't know what game the Critics are playing, or if they are under pressure from their companies to leave a good review, but it's evident they haven't play WC3 reforged for more than a few hours,

    My Review:

    1. The game is buggy as hell, from glitches in terrain, to sound turning off and on randomly (ambience for me) and colours sometimes switching or 'sticking'.

    2. The cutscenes we were shown at Blizzard demo's over the past few years, ARE NOTHING like they are in-game. In-game they are clunky and awkward.

    3. FPS issues abundant. I have a high-spec PC and I get FPS issues, it's ridiculous.

    4. UI looks s***.

    5. No new Cinematics as Blizzard promised.

    I''ve been a Blizzard fanboy since I first played WC2 in 1994, it was my first ever game I played (alongside Dune and Lemmings), back when they released WoW, I thought of them as pioneers and visionaries, Activision and the 'Shareholder' culture has infiltrated this once great company like a cancer.

    I hope Blizzard collapses, it'll be a brilliant example of why companies shouldn't ignore the core audiences they've built up over decades, nor treatment like doormats.

    I'm a big fan of original game and I watch Grubby's stream on a regular basis - Blizzard has gone from being the premier game studio in the west to being worse than Bethesda.
    Their mirror sheen polish has been replaced by terrible project control using 3. party studios.
    I hope everyone get's refunded.

    Blizzard has been making all the wrong decisions, this game probably flopped so hard it's caused a ripple effect that can send blizzard from being one of the best game dev companies of all time to one of the worst.

    Not only did Blizzard release such a disappointing title such as Warcraft 3 Reforged, which in a lot of cases looks worse than the original, they also decided to ruin the original game as well. Definitely refunding this one until they decide to fix this mess.

But then to take away the ability for me to enjoy the REAL version of this classic has got to be one of the lowest things I've seen a developer do in years. I was sad to see that I could no longer download the legacy clients anymore, from CD keys I registered to my battle.net account many years ago.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
