Warborn is a stylish, smartly designed and content packed sci-fi strategy game. The 30~ hour campaign tells a fun narrative, despite a rocky start, that tests the player to overcome a decent variety of foes and puzzle like missions. With a tactical depth that’s immediately clear but surprisingly deep, it’s a joy to play both on and offline. A few niggles aside that could be fixed post release, Warborn is one of the better strategy games you’ll play this year.

Overall, Warborn is a colourful and fun tactics game. It takes a little bit from a few places and does good things with them. The gameplay is good, the tactical options are varied, and the soundtrack will drill its way into your brain and never leave. It feels a lot like this will do very well if there are a lot of people keeping the multiplayer alive, but it’s a great game regardless.

Warborn has a great foundation of SRPG mechanics and beautiful animations. However, I never once felt connected or concerned about my units or challenged after the first few minutes of a match. Each campaign plays out relatively the same, and after hours of gameplay, you’ll feel like you are merely playing the same mission over and over. I enjoyed the overall aesthetic, but nothing about the gameplay held my attention.

Really enjoyable turn based strategy. From what I have played of the campaign so far, it’s well written narrative teamed up with slickReally enjoyable turn based strategy. From what I have played of the campaign so far, it’s well written narrative teamed up with slick gameplay. Very enjoyable. What I have played more of tho is the multiplayer on custom maps. Had a great time challenging a few friends and pushing the limits of the game. Plenty of unit types, solid mechanics. 10/10 for an old dog like me. Reminds me of a classic! Expand
