    The game was good.......In Beta form. Retail or not, this game lags like no other. It wasn't too much of a problem in beta but now its horrible There were also sound changes, like the choppers sounding like lawnmowers. If you want a fps to play if your PC cant handle the likes of BF2 or even CS:S, play this. Its pretty good.

    A very promising game. With future patches, War Rock might become the next big online shooter, but it isn't that yet.

    the game used to suck with major server lag and hackers on every server but since punkbuster started to actually care about the security and people started to report hackers this game has owned. but as always the weapons are still very unrealistic: the famas is better then the stinger, a rocketlauncher cant kill a human while AW/M can, you need to shoot several rockets to blow up a the game used to suck with major server lag and hackers on every server but since punkbuster started to actually care about the security and people started to report hackers this game has owned. but as always the weapons are still very unrealistic: the famas is better then the stinger, a rocketlauncher cant kill a human while AW/M can, you need to shoot several rockets to blow up a chopper and so on. but the teamwork has been improver A LOT! ppl are caring about eachother, the medics are starting to heal ppl (they just do it for points) and well, engineers are not used by anybody. i recomend this game to start with but Counter strike is better and worse in some cases, bomb defusion is more realistic in war rock since you see your def kit and NOT your weapon. Weapons, Counterstrike owns war rock on that area, everybody knows why, graphix, WAR ROCK takes CS1.6 and CS CZ but do not manage to take on CS:´S, they dont have a powerful engine like that. but this game is very good to play.     Hooray! A free clone of bf2! This game was somewhat fun in beta, but it had really bad problems with lag. I know that the game does not run on a dedicated server system like cs or bf2, but the lag really deducts from the game play. At the time of this comment, the game has been out for retail for about 4 days and the lag and problems have gotten worse than when the game was in beta. You Hooray! A free clone of bf2! You may be getting 30 ping when you connect to the server, but when you are in game, the lag is unbearable. You will see people teleporting all over the place and the kill display system isn't even working properly. When you kill a person with an m4, it says that you killed them with a famas instead. Personally, I don't think that this game was ready for retail especially since the game has more problems in the retail release than in the beta version. The website says that they are working on patches to fix the problems, but a retail release shouldn't include the horrible lag and bugs in this game.… Expand

    Good game, for being free. Mostly rating the smaller games, 24 people max. It does larger with vehicles comparable to BF (having only played 1 and BF2 demo), but crashes often. Graphics are quite dated (5 different optional versions of bloom and motion blur does not make it modern), but gameplay is good. Winning is usually about who gets the drop on who.

    Certainly when I played it (2007) this game was very good. It sort of combined counter-strike with abttlefield. You have round-based Search & Destroy CQC combat, but you also get huge maps with vehicles- choppers, tanks, jets, bikes, jeeps etc. The gameplay wasn't broken. Weapons were balanced, all game modes and maps were fun, graphics were dated but not too bad considering it's free toCertainly when I played it (2007) this game was very good.     In the year 2007, subscribers shouldn’t have to worry about sever stability and debilitating amounts of lag, nor should they have to suffer through a substandard interface or bargain-bin audio.

    It's an ugly game, its sound effects get annoying very quickly, and the shooting mechanics aren't very sophisticated. It's free, however, but that's about the best thing that can be said about it.
