    Voice of Cards is undeniably fun to follow, especially thanks to its frankly successful “board game” aesthetic. However, he fails to fully engage the player in his adventure, the fault of overly simplistic and intrusive fights. This leaves a very nice game, often funny and enjoyable to play, but unfortunately punctuated by moments of trouble.

    Probably the most predictable story Yoko Taro ever wrote, and yet Voice of Cards is still a nice little JRPG, with good characters and an interesting world that probably deserved more time.

    A grindy boring and annoying turn based rpg with cards where even the "voice" sounds bored

    Remarkable:
    -Rich Art on most of the Cards, and there are lots.
    -Enjoyable Fantasy music towards the end of the game and in the intermissions.
    -Provides a Fast Mode.
    Could be fixed:
    -Multiple Damage instances do not provide a Total Damage at the end.
    -Inventory limit is unnecessary, or at least too small, discarding excessive items is a really cumbersome process.
    -Skill Card picking in battles with mouse on PC could be more precise and fluid, as you will sometimes pick wrong skill cards mid fight.
    -Camera Movement with mouse is choppy and cumbersome, directional buttons work better.
    -Accept/Cancel buttons cannot be customized to any key, have to stick with mouse or enter/backspace.
    -Shops should show the amount of items you possess in inventory without having to select the item first.
    -The Fast Mode enabling shortcut, "R" key on keyboard doesn't work mid-fight.

    Lastly, English narrator or GM has an emotionless tone of voice, breaking immersion in many scenarios, Japanese narrator is better in my honest opinion.
