    I'm not leaving this bad review because of bad mechanics, I'm leaving it because Riot doesn't know how to make a functioning game. I recently just got back into Valorant after taking a break for a few months, I come back only to have multiple crashes because my "GPU ran out of space". I spent $1000+ on this gaming laptop I'm writing this review on. After closing as much stuff as I can onI'm not leaving this bad review because of bad mechanics, I'm leaving it because Riot doesn't know how to make a functioning game. I recently just got back into Valorant after taking a break for a few months, I come back only to have multiple crashes because my "GPU ran out of space". I spent $1000+ on this gaming laptop I'm writing this review on. After closing as much stuff as I can on my laptop. I finally get it to work. Then experience toxicity and players not choosing characters. I don't care about that, it's just mildy annoying. But then I started playing games, and I was disconnected from 1 round because FACEIT was trying to hook up to Valorant for competitive. DESPITE me never joining the Valorant community on FACEIT. So I uninstalled FACEIT and the rest of the game was fine. Until I got to the end of the round. It gave me a penalty and didn't give me any xp, because I was "AFK for too long" I was gone for 1 round and played the other 12. How is that too long? So this ticked me off quite a bit. Then I started up another match. I was doing good, I was top scoring on my team. Then the sides switched, and the game froze. I was mad, and audio was still playing. Then my screen turns black. I try and alt tab out, and nothing happens. And every time I moved my mouse, it just made beeping noises. It did this for at least 5 minutes. so for that 5 minutes, my laptop might as well just have been a $1000 large paperweight. If you want to make a good game, don't make it to where it breaks EVERY FUNCTION ON YOUR PLAYER'S COMPUTERS… Expand

    Valorant at its current State causes just Anger and Frustration in the Ranked Mode. Almost None Measures against Afk People, Smurfs and Toxic Players. Many People Hardstuck because of an idiotic hidden MMR System that lets you play against higher People but never lets you reach their Rank. Because i love the Game i will rate it like this. The only interesting Mode is unplayable at thisValorant at its current State causes just Anger and Frustration in the Ranked Mode. Almost None Measures against Afk People, Smurfs and Toxic Players.     **** game. Everygame you play is either completely enemy sided where you lose 13-4 or a game which isn't even remotely challenging where you win 13-4. The game is more frustrating than fun. Smurfs everywhere, and I haven't even touched ranked. Gunplay is okay except most guns dont have good first shot accuracy so that ruins the gunplay for me. All in all 0 out of 10 you should go play csgo instead

You queue up against players that are ranked Platinum, Diamond or higher almost every game and get absolutely annihilated.

    - Servers in EU are subpar - even though you use Paris/London/Frankfurt/Warsaw ones you still get teams full of CIS/Turkish players (that play with extreme latency), who refuse to communicate in English
    - Predatory in-game store with rotating section, in which one weapon skin (remodel/retexture of a gun) might cost up to 20€ - you can get an AAA game for that price (not on release, but after 6-12 months, yet still)
    - Battle pass is more unrewarding than fun, because you are forced to race against the time to ensure you will get all rewards (unless you pay for the rest of the levels or use A LOT of your free time to grind it)
    - Severe peeker's advantage, that makes you feel like you are being one tapped by running opponent
    - Gunplay feels like a downgrade when coming from the 9-year old CSGO system, I would even argue that CS 1.6 had better feeling at times (shoulder peeks are extremely overpowered)
    - In-game lobbies full of toxic brats that are undinsguishable from apes, when it comes to their mental state (this is not an overstatement, I ensure you this game might double as a test to discover aspiring sociopaths/psychopaths before they attempt their first wrongdoing)

    I guess Riot is catering to the "eSports" audience, but please consider my suggestion: save your brain cells and find your next online game somewhere else. Having fun was never an option in Valorant.    … Expand

    Valorant feels like cool way to put CS and Overwatch together and its really good for players who wants it but the game kinda overfilled because all of that amount of skills. Maps are monotonous but special and not boring. I was waiting for an easy-to-aim guns but they are very different from other games, it really needs time to get used to. Maybe i could do something with that, but i was so dissatisfied with all of that downloads/problems with region on my account so i decided to ask Riot Games for a game launcher here. Riot Games, thank you that i didn`t have to have 4 different downloads to download game (that`s the way i tried LoL) but please change your regions policies and make some launcher for your games or at least good friendly interfaces.… Expand

    Really bad matchmaking which makes the game not fun at all. I started in beta for a short time and came back 1 year later, still new to the game basically and I never played Csgo or other shooter like this.
    I'm not skilled enough for one tap head shots and I get 3-5 excellent enemies who one tap me in 0.4 sec. So i figured, maybe I need a fresh account.     Feels like a weird mix of Team Fortress 2, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The gameplay is very much feels like the previously mentioned games but sadly that's it. The game brings nothing new to the table and the fact that the graphics looks like a mobile game makes this a bad shooter.

    point blank in 2008 was better than this. if you have a weak computer and you play exclusively competitive shooters, then this is a good game(maybe) ,but i will never recom this to you,better to play cs go on low settings

Wallbangs are stupidly overpowered. I would talk about hero balance but a large portion of the selection are locked behind hours of grind. Not to mention the anti-cheat that is borderline spyware.

    Has the worst UI. The game doesn't care about throwers or quiters because it's a free game. These players will join the game and will do everything to ruin it. The UI is poorly made, will crash more often than not.

    Valorant is legitimately one of the worst games I have ever played in my entire life. The staff team completely ignores all feedback on the game and works on it when they feel like it. Call of duty has plenty of good maps and Valorant only has 5, and they’re all extremely poorly designed. Staff team refuses to acknowledge this. This is not an exaggeration — one time I’ve shot somebody over a dozen times and they haven’t died. (They healed, but it should NOT take over a dozen shots to not even kill someone.)

    Valorant is one of the, if not the most LUCK based FPS games I’ve ever played. There is said to be a set damage on the buy menu, but the damage appears to be completely randomized. You can shoot someone in the head and do a little over 1/5 of their health. They do things like raise the amount of money it takes to buy certain guns for absolutely no reason at all. The game is completely unbalanced and absurd and any player can see why as soon as they touch it because not a round or two goes by where something crazy happens. The ranked system is the worst that I’ve ever seen. You can get 40 kills and not die a single time and still get astronomically decreased if you end up losing, even if you’re match mvp. I’ve seen players that were in diamond end up in iron in two weeks. The matchmaking is horrible and not skill based at all. Do NOT play ranked if you don’t have your own teammates. The client is terrible, sometimes it kicks you out mid match and penalizes you from playing, or decreases you. There is often way more downtime than promised with updates. The developers seem to be more focused on putting out skins to be purchased with real money than fixing the game.

    The skins are expensive, but not as expensive as some other games. However, they do not provide any type of benefit, and people can just take the skins from you if you die. The battle pass is decent, however.

    I can go on and on about the terrible qualities of the game, but at the end of the day all I can say is stay away from it at all cost.    … Expand

    I had high hopes for this game, I love the artwork and the aesthetics, but the actual core of the game is terrible. I don't like hyper-realistic games so I never got into CSGO but always liked the concept. Unfortunate that this didn't live up to my expectations at all.
    Considering they didn't really need to think of a type of game (given this is literally just cartoon CSGO, which I don't shame or anything), you would think more work would go into the coaching/training aspect of practice modes and some actual explanations behind skills- ie. A showcase clip of when/how the skill would be used.
    Riot did a great job of this in LOL which is why I'm so disappointed it fell through so hard on this game. Truly a shame.    … Expand

    Valorant is a fun fps game, but competitive gameplay is often ruined by cheaters, and sometimes low ranked players can get queued with much higher ranked players and get totally destroyed. not to mention higher-ranked players creating another account to smurf in lower ranks. The ranking system is totally unfair, which makes competitive gameplay a lot less fun

    ( platinum 2 Played 150 hours and 1400 hours of CSGO) This game is an unpolished cheap Chinese mobile knockoff of CS. It is the most unenjoyable FPS experience ever made. Reyna is blatantly broken, rifles are **** maps are horribly designed and the movement is clunky and stiff. valorant vs cs is like paladins vs overwatch

The mechanics are slow and way worse than it was expected. Something's really wrong with it and I can't tell what it is.     This game is really fun with friends and is very competitive but I don't get why riot games prices their skins so high like there is no way to ern free skins only a few from the agents but only for pistols and all the good skins a ridiculously overpriced.     Honestly not worth playing, it's quite boring for an fps. It's too sweaty for the average player. The gun unbalance is laughably bad, there's 3 good guns to use later in the game, and they're not even very fun to use. My suggestion is to go play some other fps game on pc. CSGO, most COD games, most Halo games, and Siege.

I started playing two months ago and having played any first-person shooter games, makes my first valiant experience a bad experience. I did not like the shooting mechanic at all. Coming from Fortnite, where hitscan is the shooting mechanic which makes shooting way easier. Literally, all you have to do is put your crosshair at their hitbox and shoot. All I can say is, if you want to focus on playing competitively, you should definitely start aim training. I would recommend using Aimlab to practice aiming and do some warmup before competitive games if you don’t want to get crushed. You can even do some practice in Valorant’s shooting range. I would 102% recommend it as it might also help you with different guns. Aside from the shooting mechanic, all that is left is the agent and the in-game decision. I was struggling at first because I had no idea what each agent does until I learned each and every one of them. Learning about each agent’s skill definitely helped me when it comes to making decisions each round. I would recommend watching professional matches to help you when it comes to in-game decisions. If I forgot to mention that this is a team game, making decisions based on your team is important. Or you can just instant lock Reyna and race every round if you’re good/or smurfing. Overall, it is a fun game to play. I like the creativity of the graphics of the map and the agent’s background. They could’ve made the gun skins cheaper tho….… Expand

Everything from the game mechanics, map design, characters, abilities, animations and more make me thing that this was ripped from hard drives at Valve and Blizzard. It's really sad to think that the same company that made League of Legends could make a game this abysmally bad. Not even to mention thatThis game is not unique in any way.     This game is fun for the first 5 games before it gets repetitive. 13 rounds is an insane amount for this game when you know who's going to win after 4. It just feels like a grind, it's not fun. The balancing in the guns seems strange with some automatic guns being the only ones that are viable in matchups. I spent rounds not using any skills and still winning because it seems like they don't matter. They want to mix CS and Overwatch without understanding why these games are fundamentally different. The two types of gameplay don't mix well together. The game is slow and not fun to continuously play. There are also tons of bots or afk players that just walk in a box the entire round. These happen so often it feels not worth to play unless in a group to carry these players. It's very frustrating. Then there are the insane prices in the store. You can pay $100 for gun skins for one pack. That's insane. That is an insane price point for gun skins even for a free-to-play game. It's frustrating and unreasonable. When you take a look at the Ingame-Store for Skins you realize pretty fast that this game is nothing more but a money-maker for Riot. Selling Knife-Skins for 30~40€ each or Skin-Packs for ~90€ and nobody complaining about it is something making me furious. Of course you could say "It's your money and your choice", but that would've also been the Case in the big EA-Battlefront 2 Outrage. Most of the gamers still blame EA for their DLC-Politics but when it comes to Valorant knowingly ripping of thousands of euros out of the pockets of minors , everybody closes their eyes.     This community is just as if not more toxic than LoL and CSGO. The servers are woefully inconsistent, and spray patterns are laughable. How people main this game will forever elude me. I would give it a negative score if I could.

    It is a game with an interesting idea, but it is not well developed.
    The balance of weapons and characters, game modes, server connection and especially the community give you a bitter taste.
    I hope they improve these aspects in the future and make it an enjoyable game.

    Wenn man mit mindesten 3 premates spielt wirds um einiges einfacher und besser aufzusteigen aber als solospieler wird man im wahrsten sinne "Anal penetriert" und das am laufenden Band, was ein klarer fehler von riot ist.
    Die Spieler können nichts dafür ausser das es halt veständlicherweise extrem toxisch macht.

    Before i go into the pros and cons, let me answer one question. What exactly is Valorant? It adds an agent system to the game, looking to find it's differences towards Valves fps giant. It's designed in a    Quit possible the worst fps i ever played.

    Before i go into the pros and cons, let me answer one question. What exactly is Valorant?
    It's a first person shooter by Riot Games (League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics) with a lot of similarities to cs go. It adds an agent system to the game, looking to find it's differences towards Valves fps giant. It's designed in a cartoonish style quite like Overwatch. And while it manages to find it's differences here and there you quickly come to realise just how much work they copied and pasted from cs go.

    Now lets start with the few pros there are:
    - Cute design far away from what your used to from cs go
    - both sides (attackers and defenders) use the same weapons. Yeah that's a personal thing but it's something i never liked about cs go
    - beautiful (and unlike cs go quit affordable) skins with cool animations and finishing animations
    - strong anti-cheat

    Sadly that's about it regarding the pros about this game so let's focus on what ruins it:
    - Huge amounts of smurfs, trolls and people going afk, unless your playing at the highest ranks a "normal" game is extremely hard to find
    - terrible gunplay: Random spray patterns / run and gun works way to good
    - boring maps, they all have the same structure: 2 points to plant, a direct and a side path towards each side, as well as a middle path. Differences are small or non existing. With maybe the exception of Bind (those teleporters are quit cool) none of the maps have any features to make them stand out.
    - uninspired weapons, a lot of them straight up copied from cs go (just with a new name)
    - broken rank system: Carrying a game with over 30 kills as a support to win 13:10 wins you the same amount of rr (rank rating) that you lose after losing a game 10:13 with 2 teammates instantly quitting after an 0:3 start. In result it becomes extremely annoying to try and rank up. And don't even get me started about new seasons: For 2 or 3 weeks multiple ranks get cramped together making it an absolute rng fiesta regarding teammates and enemys.
    - the agents (characters) are uninspiring: A lot of ability's are old and known ones from cs go (flashes, smokes, etc.) and a couple knew ones (blinds, teleporter), but they are just thrown onto the agents in different combinations, with a little twist here and there (viper for example has one smoke that she can ignite multiple times and two short lasting molotvs. Brimstone one the other hand has 3 "one use only" smokes and a single but stronger and longer lasting molotov.)
    - unbalanced agents, there's only about 15 of them in the game and there still extremely off in power level
    - the anti-cheat isn't uninstalled after uninstalling the game and still sucks dater from your computer

    All in all a very disappointing experience.

    This game is so bad. the gameplay sucks, the guns are boring. the game is so bad it makes me want to commit suicide. please do not get unless you want to die. Valorant is Fortnite its straight like ur mom. and the creator is a failed abortion. The skins are way to expensive also your dad is lesbian

    This game suck so much it’s actually crazy. I expected this game to be really fun but It’s the opposite, they ban you for being afk which is the worst concept I have ever seen in a game. I had to deal with family issues once so I left the game and when I got back on I was banned for a week. How does this make me want to play this horse crap of a game anymore.     Valorant is said to be one of the better hero shooter because you can play it even on bad computer. And it's kinda true. Exept yoy will have hard time trying to even choose cgaracyer, because they often do not want to load, and you have to wait 10 min. Amd thet aren't trying to fix that, and only make this worse by making you have all particles. You barely can change your resolution, soValorant is said to be one of the better hero shooter because you can play it even on bad computer. And it's kinda true.     Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
