    Trepang2 is an excellent ultra-violent shooter that balances intensely satisfying combat and stealth gameplay with a tight, engaging narrative full of mystery. With perfect pacing, immersive boss fights and a thought-provoking ending, it achieves everything it aims for with the precision and technique of a super soldier.

    Trepang2 offers a lot of choices in terms of customization, gameplay, and mechanics for players. While the enemy AI isn't that clever and the difficulty surrounds changing damage values more than making enemies smarter, it more than makes up for it with its memorable set pieces, gun variety, and incredibly chilling horror moments.

    Trepang2 doesn’t really care about its setting and story. Instead, it just wants to give you some guns, the ability to slow down time, and just set you loose on some corrupt corporations and a shady cult. It features fantastic gunplay and some excellent enemy AI to play around with, and despite the visual clutter, you’ll quite likely find yourself having a good time.

    Trepang2 has a pretty narrow focus, but it does the bloody first-person combat genre proud. Kudos to developer Trepang for doing a few things really well and not trying to make the next Call of Duty clone. Trepang2 borrows a few ideas from F.E.A.R. and snags some mechanics from classic shooters, and the result is both fresh and familiar fun.

    I find it hard to believe that any fan of the FPS genre wouldn’t have a good time with Trepang2. The gameplay is tight and satisfying and the level design is first-class, making a wonderful playground in which to decimate those capitalist soldiers. There is no doubt that this is a fantastic effort by such a small team and I can’t wait to see what they have coming next.

    Trepang2 misses the target on several aspects like its story or construction. Its basic but efficient gameplay succeeds more or less to "save" the game.

I've already replayed my favorite levels and must say it gets even better and more fun as your skill increases.     The slowdown button is very useful in some situations, you also have multiple weapons that you unlock throughout the game and attachment for your weapons, for instance the compressor.

    There are some horror moments in it, which I enjoyed (not gonna spoil it). Some moments might be something you've seen before, or something similar. I would not personally compare it to the game F.E.A.R. however in case a remake/remaster were to be made, I am sure this studio could pull it off.

    If you don't care about a plot or an actual story but love mindless shooting, you should try it out TREPANG2 for yourself.

    I find the checkpoint system on point.

    I give it a 7 out of 10 because I think they could've done more than they did, especially with the "plot", could've flashed it out more. graphics are fine. there are some minor hiccups here and there with light bugs or glitches that (most of the time) can be fixed by rebooting the game or just reloading the game.    … Expand
