You will inevitably end up with a tangled web of lines, some of which are always operating at a loss, yet are necessary to keep the whole system running. It’ll take hours to think out and build this system, but it’s just so incredibly satisfying to look upon your empire and realize that yes, it works just as planned. [Issue#215, p.60]

An ugly UI and some gameplay simplifications don't prevent Transport Fever from being an interesting product, especially if you are used to filling your games with tons of mods.

While I feel the initial asking price might be a tad high, there’s countless hours of play time to be found here.

I can find myself warming up to Transport Fever. Still, I find it hard to recommend the game to anyone but hardcore transportation sim fans, and even then only if you are a bit of a glutton for punishment. If that description fits, you’ll find a fairly capable simulation that you’ll likely enjoy for a couple of weeks.

The game lacks AI-controlled competition (you’re alone on the map) and therefore is not as addictive as 22-year-old Transport Tycoon. [01/2017, p.41]

In all ways, unfinished transport tycoon, which was released for some reason –instead of being left in Early Access mode for a few more months. [Issue #269]

Transport Fever is a game with lots of strong features - it has a great array of well made vehicles, the single-player campaign is interesting and the joy of creating a complex transport organism is great. Then why almost every part of the game had to be burdened with issues of different kind and magnitude? It's a cool game that never lives up to its potential.

Unfortunately Transport Tycoon successor didn´t happen this time. Transport Fever is absurdly difficult compared to the iconic original, more complicated and mostly prefers the management over the constructive matters. Play the game only if you miss more paperwork in TTDX desperately.

Fixes none of the interface, performance and play-ability problems of the original game while adding unwelcome and unnecessary complexity to cargo systems. Ultimately a pretty insulting effort to emulate Transport Tycoon. Full Review »

How have we gone backwards since Railroad Tycoon and Transport Tycoon were released so long ago? It should not be so difficult to change the makeup of a train's cargo, to see what kind of passengers/cargo are at a station. Good graphics mask a poorly designed game. Full Review »

The first hour or so you have money for one train and one route you build it and than just wait. The 3 time speed is a joke maybe if they added a 10x speed this game would get more interesting. Now its just way to slow paced. You can watch a movie and play this game at the same time. Full Review »
