Let's take a trip back 20 years to our darkest nightmares in Tormentum - Dark Sorrow. This is a classic Point and click adventure game with astonishing visual art design, a surreal environment and a plot full of mystery. Heavily influenced by artists such as H.G. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski, it's a gothic games that fans of their art will really like.

For the most part, however, Tormentum: Dark Sorrow is a game that succeeds at what it sets out to do. It doesn’t reinvent the point-and-click adventure game, but it doesn’t have to in order to tell its dark and gruesome story.

Tormentum: Dark Sorrow keeping its promises. It's not a perfect game, but one that the point and click lover have to try.

Tormentum feels like one of the dreams I (and many other teenagers) had from time to time. Inspiring to the imagination and often evocative, but easily forgotten.

Even though it is quite short and its world is never truly developed, Tormentum brings an incredible H.R. Giger-inspired artwork and atmosphere that has no match in the modern indie scene.

A unique travel trough your worst nightmares on a classic point'n click style. It's art it's just amazing, but fails on offering a real challenge that last long enough to become a classic.

Tormentum is downright depressing. In a good way.

Tormentum: Dark Sorrow is not very challenging, but it has undeniable artistic flair, an intriguing story and subtle charm.

Tormentum is a surprisingly addictive adventure game, despite being seemingly so basic.

It has a great, unique style, but overall it is let down by the often clumsy and convoluted game design.

It's a peculiar and dark experience. Although none of its many parts lives up to the expectations, the mix still has something.

The surreal world with its design in the spirit of heavy metal album covers sparks your interest, but with the shallow characters and hardly-challenging puzzles you get little more than solid entertainment.

It’s got far more beauty than brains, but for gamers who appreciate a macabre atmosphere and distinctive art style, Tormentum could be just the brief but darkly beautiful diversion they’re looking for.

Tormentum catches the attention of the player thanks to a flawless artistic design, but hides under his belt a dark secret: a simplistic narrative and a testimonial exploration.
