    This game hooked me into its story a lot and I love Lara even more now. The combat feels good enough, the platforming and puzzles are not that hard but still fun to do and fairly challenging sometimes.

    Бодрые перестрелки, неплохие головоломки, довольно высокий уровень жестокости и красивая главная героиня :) Есть пара неплохих локаций. Сюжет не то чтобы очень интересный но для адвенчуры нормально.

    Por la mitad se me hizo un poco largo, pero a pesar de ello lo he disfrutado mucho y si que lo recomiendo, los paisajes son preciosos y lo puedes pillar de oferta muy barato.

    I played every Tomb Raider since 1996, loved the stories, the character, the maps - especially the maps. (I never liked the movies though).
    The new era games, starting with Legend in 2006 , Anniversary and, best of them, Underworld continued the line in the best possible way. I was a fan of TR with all its ups and downs.
    Then came “Tomb Raider” in 2013, the greatest downfall in game    I played every Tomb Raider since 1996, loved the stories, the character, the maps - especially the maps. (I never liked the movies though).
    The new era games, starting with Legend in 2006 , Anniversary and, best of them, Underworld continued the line in the best possible way. I was a fan of TR with all its ups and downs.

    Then came “Tomb Raider” in 2013, the greatest downfall in game history!

    First of all: what did they do to Lara? The former archetype of a heroine has all of a sudden been degraded to a whiney, overly dramatic crybaby, saying “oh god!” every minute. She is now Lara The Victim.

    And her Face: Who is that? Ever looked at her in the previous 17 Years? That is not Lara Croft. Neither is her body.
    Hey Guys, this is a videogame, was it really necessary to turn Lara Croft into a politically correctly shaped but boring character that looks and talks like the depressed, unemployed girl next door?

    Gameplay has also been totally crippled. Gone are the days where you could freely run through huge levels in search of something.
    The player is now basically allowed to press a few buttons in between two cutscenes. There is no flow in the game as it is constantly interrupted by cutscenes. Always cutscenes! Short cutscenes where you just lose control over Lara and the camera angle. Long cutscenes with annoying dialogues. You can skip some of the longer ones but you never get the feeling of moving freely through a map. Instead the player is kept on a very short leash, there is only one path to follow, very linear and predictive. It is more like a slightly interactive hollywood movie, bloated with drama and painfully stretched actionscenes that you have to endure while you wait to actually continue playing.

    Positive thing is the graphics. It looks marvellous. But that is about it.

    I got so annoyed by the gameply ant Lara’s constant whining that i uninstalled the game when i was only halfway through.
    Same happened to the sequel “Rise of the Tomb Raider”. Gave it a try, got annoyed, deleted it.
    Won’t buy the newer games and i think this is very sad.    … Expand

    Lara Croft in an Uncharted game might work on paper, but it works exceptionally well in practice. The grittier tone of Tomb Raider makes for a enjoyable ride from beginning to end and Lara can comfortably claim her place among the third person action adventure protagonist pantheon.

    Superbly playable. Rarely gives me so much fun from the gameplay itself.

    Predictable but enjoyable scenario. A completely different game than the old "Tomb Raiders".

    Multi sucks... but now it's probably long dead anyway

    This game was my first Tomb Raider game. It has a great story. Didn't like the voice acting of some cast and putting online multiplayer was a horrible idea. But these matter aside it was a great game. I highly recommand this game who love action advanture games with great story.

    es muy buen juego, yo diría de lo mejores que he jugado y eso que soy una fanática, si se siente la diferencia y siento que underword le deben su secuela pero este es muy divertido y agradable aparte los gráficos son buenísimos, y le doy un diez muy buena evolución

Очевидно, больше приключений, древних гробниц, загадок и море кадров с мокрой Ларой Крофт. Тут и постановка голливудская подъехала (скорее, с оглядкой на Uncharted) и история улучшилась став более комплексной и интересной (например,Удачный пример "мягкого" перезапуска франшизы с хорошими вытекающими. В случае с Tomb Raider разрабам трудно было прогадать в вопросе "чего же хотят игроки?". Очевидно, больше приключений, древних гробниц, загадок и море кадров с мокрой Ларой Крофт. Тут и постановка голливудская подъехала (скорее, с оглядкой на Uncharted) и история улучшилась став более комплексной и интересной (например, при помощи фактов и записок подается лор острова на котором происходят события).     A surprisingly good game, I had some good time with it. It has lots of influences, lots of different elements, like horror vibe in the beginning, physics based puzzles, climbing, cover based shooting, bombastic set pieces. It could even have developed the survival or crafting mechanics. So it could go in a lot of directions, it shows a lot of potential, but they way it is, it feels a bitA surprisingly good game, I had some good time with it.     This is a really good game that can bring you pleasant emotions, but I think it could have been done much better. The developers should have worked more on the plot and characters, especially on Lara Croft. It was possible, for example, to add flashbacks of her childhood with her father or come up with something else to deepen this character.

    Why you should get this game"
    -Gorgeous scenery and graphics
    -Combat system is fun and dynamic
    -Cutscenes are not NEARLY as bad as reviewers are saying, really adds to the storyline and overall feel
    -Tomb raiding and puzzles are challenging and rewarding
    -Pulls you into the game (something that is VERY rare for me)

    Лара Крофт "нового поколения" очень специфична. Отличная графика, приятные пейзажи, занимательный сеттинг и неплохие экшен моменты существуют наряду с глупым сюжетом и неинтересными персонажами.

    Great cinematics. The gameplay is a bit repetitive. In the end you just want to quickly finish the game. The final act after the helicopter crash was too lengthy and redundant. Seemed like the developers wanted to extend the game to maximum, even though in the latter part the repetitiveness becomes painful. But, apart from that a pretty good game.     This game is one of the best games I have ever played, much better than its 2 successors. As a game of linear gameplay, it has extremely good plot, storytelling, and game design. Its graphics, from the 2013 standards, is also top in the industry.

    This is my first Tomb Raider game. I decided to play this series due to it being a very similar genre to my favorite series, Uncharted. I was not disappointed! The story is very, very good (though maybe slightly less good in the very last 20 minutes or so. I don't really love the supernatural angle). Lara Croft is a survivor and a badass.     Скучный, однообразный геймплей, зачищаешь локу, потом бежишь, потом снова зачищаешь район, эх... если бы это было еще интересно, но нет, все перестрелки однообразные и не интересные, в начале пытался проходить стелсом, убивая всех из лука, но потом просто выбегают море врагов и даже не надо экономить пули, на каждом метре есть пули, стрелы, грены.     O jogo é bom mas sinto que faltou algo mais, por exemplo a Lara tem que caçar para comer mas só no início do jogo. Não faz sentido caçar javalis, cervos, ou qualquer outro animal nesse jogo sendo que será apenas gasto de recursos pra ganhar XP. Um ponto forte é que toda ferida e todo dano as roupas continua lá, diferente de outros jogos que se passar de uma cutscene pra outra o personagemO jogo é bom mas sinto que faltou algo mais, por exemplo a Lara tem que caçar para comer mas só no início do jogo. I will admit that when it drifted a little more towards supernatural for the storytelling I didn't think it was necessary, but at the same time it didn't really detract and was going in that direction, so it wasn't out of place.     Tomb Raider is a fun action-adventure game with intrigue in the titular character at least and solid puzzle pieces. Decent graphics and sound and a competent story that defines Lara Croft. Overall, a credible distraction.

    - Boss combats. All of them involved QTE system whatever wholly and partially, as result they just no fun to play and you left with an anti-climax feeling after you finish off the major game villains with a meaningless mash of buttons at the right time, no strategy or skill involve.    … Expand

    When the Tomb Raider Reboot came out in 2013, I was stunned. Loved this new realistic Lara, the fact that they drop the dumb dual welding pistols, and she now grabbed the gun like a pro, was it for me. Her body and clothing are more    Masterpiece. Back in the day, the Tomb Raider games did not catch my attention. I was playing other video games as a kid, but I always knew about this saga.

    When the Tomb Raider Reboot came out in 2013, I was stunned. Loved this new realistic Lara, the fact that they drop the dumb dual welding pistols, and she now grabbed the gun like a pro, was it for me. Her body and clothing are more believable now for a female adventurer, I never really get mixing sex and video games, but that formula clearly worked for quite some time. This new Lara is fantastic, you get attached to her walking her journey. This 1st entry is all about "a survivor is born" so is a painful journey filled with hardships and difficult emotional moments. But in the end, we see the Tomb Raider emerge from that.

    The original PC version released in 2013 is way better that the console definitive edition they released years later. Since the game was released, I completed it several times, and it's always been an exciting adventure to get into Lara's shoes. Love the stealth gameplay, the enemy pre-combat dialogs, the enemy AI is great, and the weapons! Total masterpiece and a great franchise reboot.    … Expand

    I remember playing this game a few years ago and I really have to give it a 10 considering the fact that I finished the game in 2 days .It made me feel with the character which is commendable for any game which can achieve that.

    The big return of Lara Croft, and this time, she is indestructible! At least that's how I picture this game would be advertised if it was a toy figurine. Seriously, she can get impaled, shot at multiple times, sliced a few and then thrown off a big cliff, and after a second she is just fine. I get the idea to mature the series a bit, but it seemed as if some of those gore moments wereThe big return of Lara Croft, and this time, she is indestructible!     Still, all these ideas that the creators came up with to torture Lara were beautifully directed, and competent level design made the gameplay feel swift and smooth. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the writing. All the characters, maybe except Lara, felt a little bland, and their dialogues were often just naive. The plot is one big adventure-movie cliche, which makes the story predictable and not that interesting.
    Set aside the writing, the game makes up for it with a lot, mainly with surprisingly fun old-school mechanics (even if a little too repetitive), and overall a fun experience, making this reboot of the Tomb Raider series a worthy one, and painting a promising picture for the future*.

    Just an OK game. There is nothing special about this game. Story is OK, but story telling is horrible. Gameplay is repetitive but good. AI is garbage. Action sequences are great and the game is very well polished. Graphics are stunning. Controls are a bit weird. Overall an OK game.

    The incarnation of the classic Tomb Raider series worked out beautifully. Everything from graphics to controls to even Lara Croft´s appearance look stunning. It´s like a mix between the old games of the franchise and Uncharted. Really cool!

    Gameplay and graphics are quite good. The story of the island is pretty interesting, but the actual characters have have very little backstory or development and I just didn't care about them. There's an instance where one of lara's friends dies and its this heroic sacrifice and sad moment, but I didn't even know the characters name until that scene because no one is memorable.

    this game.have boring story boring characters boring enviorment getting away from core tomb raider experience and copying the games like uncharted and far cry but this game dont have sully and nathan like chemistry and cool characters nor far cry like stealth experience its a very sad reboot

    Es el primero de una saga que nos ha dado momentazos. Si lo ves a 5€ píllalo, sino espera, lo van a rebajar así que juega a otra cosa. Y no te lo digo porque el juego sea malo, es un juegazo que te desafía con sus puzzles y entretiene con sus tiroteos pero si encima te ahorras unos euros, mejor que mejor.

    Uncharted'lar kadar karakterleri kendisine bağlamasa da hikayesi pek derin olmasa da eğlenceli bir oyundu. Platform ve puzzle bölümleri dönemine göre fena değildi. Aksiyonu, sürekli yenilenen silahlarıyla beni Uncharted'lardan daha çok tatmin etti diyebilirim. 1-2 tane boss saavaşı vardı ama pek heyecan verici ya da zorlayıcı değillerdi.

    Teknik olarak döneminin biraz gerisinde gibi    Uncharted'lar kadar karakterleri kendisine bağlamasa da hikayesi pek derin olmasa da eğlenceli bir oyundu. Platform ve puzzle bölümleri dönemine göre fena değildi. Aksiyonu, sürekli yenilenen silahlarıyla beni Uncharted'lardan daha çok tatmin etti diyebilirim. 1-2 tane boss saavaşı vardı ama pek heyecan verici ya da zorlayıcı değillerdi.

    - Lara has three opportunities to shoot the main antagonist, but she does not
    - Some of the dialogue was cringe, and the character development for Reyes was wonky
    - Mash left and right to struggle
    - Mash E repeatedly to pry
    - Lara has over 9000 HP -- she is basically immortal. She is also female Nathan Drake.
    You can:
    - set her on fire
    - impale her with rebar
    - drop her off a cliff
    - drop her off a sky bridge
    - drop her down a sinkhole
    - shoot her in the arm
    - toss a live grenade 1 metre in front of her
    - etc.
    And she will survive because she has level 9000 grip strength and basically infinite ammo.

    I have one-hundred hours in "Tomb Raider: This time we'll get it right," also known as the 2013 reboot to the ill-fated, but coincidentally long running Tomb Raider franchise starring the titular, or somewhat below average titular, Lara Croft. Now that many hours tells you two things, A. I benchmarked this game a lot, and B. Probably spent time just visually enjoying the game. Even overI have one-hundred hours in "Tomb Raider: This time we'll get it right," also known as the 2013 reboot to the ill-fated, but coincidentally long running Tomb Raider franchise starring the titular, or somewhat below average titular, Lara Croft. Now that many hours tells you two things, A. I benchmarked this game a lot, and B. Probably spent time just visually enjoying the game. Even over ten years later, it is a very pretty game, not perfect around every edge, asset or character render or facial animation, but its decidedly very pretty to look at. It also has a very professional soundtrack, some pretty hilarious voice acting that is functional, but perhaps doesn't quite line up with the low quality writing.

    In this pre-Lara, pre-adventure that has nothing to do with other third-person action games at the time, nor is it some kind of bizarre fetish murder simulator with gruesome male (as well as female) death sequences, you explore the origins of Lara Croft as a character or something. I don't remember. The story is all over the place, inconsequential, bad, and is some sort of TV's "Lost" meets the "Uncharted" game series meets "Indiana Jones, but just "Temple of Doom" and theirs also something in there about an ancient Japanese sorceress or whatever. Me personally? I couldn't tell you one thing that happens in the story. Some characters show up, sometimes they aren't there, Lara's looking for her girlfriend probably, theirs like two actual boss fights, theirs a boss fight that isn't even a major character that's reduced to a quick-time event twenty minutes into the game and I guess- oh- I guess their are some "tombs" to walk around or discover.

    The Tomb raider series is pretty old, so its not like people didn't see the eventual homogenization of their beloved dear schmoopsy-poo Lara Croft being turned into whatever fried food equivalent that sold well before everyone's doctor started to warn them about potential health complications from eating said particular fried food. The point is that it was always going to attempt to be mainstream, I just never thought a mainstream game would get away with obvious Ryona scenes, references to "Faster, **** Kill! Kill!," and attempts to portray itself as deeply serious in every unbelievably awful scene where Lara "cardboard cutout" Croft can speak to some bland minor character we know nothing about for five minutes about where the plot is going because we sure as heck as the audience don't know and theirs no real reason to care either.

    The fact that so much of the game is reliant on these stupidly obvious, repetitive and insultingly thick confrontations ala third-person shooter accompanied by all manner of chest-high walls, should tell you everything that was on the developers mind's when they crafting this nonsense. Lara, a 130 l.b. (going off Anniversary editions established weight) five foot six inch scrawny looking white girl upper body can magically derive the strength to pull a bow string so far back, that it delivers enough force for the arrow to literally pierce a human skull all the way through. Which is comical in this game no matter how many times I see it, but that doesn't change how utterly ridiculous it is. So its not surprising that combat is a chore against brainless combatants (all men) who are murdered for so much as farting or belching in Lara's general direction, whose motivations are so vague they could actually be extremely aggressive salesmen and Lara would still create an excuse to blow their kneecaps off. Only four weapons are available on an Island somehow armed to the teeth with military grade rifles, pistols, explosives, Molotov cocktails, sub-machines guns, and lets not forget gun turrets. Can't have a good action set piece without a large gun turret shooting at your protagonist.

    So is Lara Croft John Rambo? It would make a lot of sense. Ultimately the things that happen in "Lara Croft Murder adventures: Tombs are only the beginning" merely happen because the writers need an action set piece to push the story forward. Lara falls at the beginning of the game onto a particularly pointy piece of metal, its a silly sequence where you must mash a contextual button prompt in order to pull a long rusty steel rebar out of her pelvic region (if only most girls were this easy). It bares mention that she seeks no medical aid after dislodging the object, and takes a little swim in "godknowswhat" jungle water with no repercussions. Ironically, she later is "injured" after this wound FINALLY gets worse, and she has to cauterize it, a scene the game shy's away from showing even with fairly realistic violence against men by firearm or bow and arrow.

    When you boil it down, Tomb Raider 2013 is a desperate derivative. Its fundamentally pointless. It lacks a narrative structure that cannot progress without some elaborate set piece from an action movie. In summary, it represents everything wrong with modern videogames.    … Expand

    From the very beginning I was absolutely stunned by the incredible atmosphere in the game. The cursed/abandoned island got all of my attention for the first couple of hours. Snowy    Tomb Raider is a very popular series of games as from the past as from the present. So I have finally decided to make a begin with it. I started my journey with the first part of the new Tomb Raider era.

    From the very beginning I was absolutely stunned by the incredible atmosphere in the game. The cursed/abandoned island got all of my attention for the first couple of hours. Snowy mountains, rainy jungles, steep slopes, wrecked ships and airplanes made it one of the most significant places in games where I’ve ever been.

    The park our is a big part of the game, it’s very well executed. It’s all scripted though, but the cinematic which you get while doing all the acrobatics is insane!

    Unfortunately, the remaining aspects are less good of quality.

    The shooting system is in my opinion handicap. From all the weapons which you get during the game, the bow remains the only pleasantly weapon to use (and still, it’s not perfect, but good enough though, I really enjoyed shooting arrows with it). You won’t feel any of the automatic weapons, neither will you feel the enemies when hitting them.
    You really wouldn’t mind shooting some enemy’s now and then, but as you progress further into the game, you get more dumb bots to shoot.
    This leads us to another incident, there is a huge lack of enemy’s variations. The only ones you get to interact with are some animals (only wolfs actually, because they are the only hostile animal in the game), the fanatics (an unnatural amount of them spread over the whole island) and the crazy/corrupt sun nation warriors. Since there is that much of shooting in the game, why not add more variations of enemy’s?

    The story is very simple. It just could have been better, there is not very much to say about it.
    Characters on the other hand is a good topic to talk about. While playing the game we see the conflicts inside the group which we don’t care about at all and the scenarist are trying to implicate some dramatic losses in the story where over we won’t care either. All that because the characters were never personalised, we know nothing about them, even about Lara herself (and I want to remind you, this game is the very beginning of her adventures, it’s a chapter of her life where she got reborn). The game never creates any kind of emotional bond with the characters.

    As I’m playing this game years after it has been released I have thought about the limitations which I’ve just mentioned. It can be that the game just got to old. But then I have compared it to other games of early 2010’s, and funny things have occurred. This game indeed sucks at shooting and especially story telling.

    As a conclusion of this review I would suggest you to buy a newer chapter of the game (as the story of the listed one is not important at all) which will have better graphics and hopefully have better story telling/shooting system (I’m sure, it could not have got worse).    … Expand

    This game have great graphics with a decent narative . e progression is fine but the one glaring issue about this game is its combat. the combat is fun at first but as times pass it starts to feel bland. But the gameplay other than the combat is great with fluent movement. It's a great game with good attention to details but I can't give this any higher than an 8

They are pretty so realistic, knowing when to sit down at their AI is very good. Overall The story is very amazing and understandable and full of action the most because Lara Croft finds herself in a tense place every 10 minutes, but I feel sorry for Lara. The game is both open world and the adventure is full of activities where you can collect such collection and get more information about this game, characters and the island. In the game, the weapon mechanics work quite interestingly. You can upgrade weapons, for example you have an old pistol, and you can upgrade to 100 percent. There is a skill in the game where you can upgrade your character. In general, the game has an interesting level of design where you need to think, and it is full of interesting things. The graphics and atmosphere of the game are directly amazing, and the details of the game itself are very interesting.

    So in my opinion the game is really awesome, full of fun and action. I would definitely suggest trying it out for everyone and experiencing the adventures of Lara Croft and getting to know the characters. I would dedicate myself to this game 8/10.    … Expand

    I love these kinds of games, but the Tomb Raider has really gotten a lot of bugs this time, and that's not cool. When I wanted to try again in 2020, the result made me sad, the bugs were still not fixed. But still, the story is very good and the graphics are still sufficient.

    In my opinion this is an overall good game. It does suffer from over the top action scenes and just a lot of shooting, but its all enjoyble. I would have liked to see more exploration which is btw almost non existent in this game. By far the best thing in this game is Lara`s caracther, even though her transition from a shy naive girl to a serial killer is almost non existent.     Instant classic for me and the first game that made me genuinely impressed in terms of graphics and story writing. Holds up VERY well today

    Not a Tomb Raider game at all it really seems an Uncharted game re-skin. There's nothing I loved from the original games in this reboot.

    Tomb Raider is a game that don't wants you to play it. It's interrupting you every 5min to play a cinematic. It's putting you in small grotes with no possible movement to load different areas.     It annoys you with quick time events that have nothing to do with a Tomb Raider game. Again, why so many quick time events? No one like them, it interrupts your gameplay and we are not playing guitar hero to test our key pressing skills. Even the last boss is a QTE!!!

    Another annoying thing is how every single climb in the game is marked with a super bright white or yellow paint. Really, did you seen that in the real world?
    It completely breaks the scenario immersion, everything in your sight will be spotted in white and yellow.
    There was no need of that, I played many Tomb Raider games and was perfectly able to know where to jump and where not.

    Need also to mention the huge amount of bullets, explosions, buildings falling and more buildings exploding in this game. When did we see this barbaric amount of destruction in a Tomb Raider game?
    And why is Lara a kind of god that can sustain any type of injury: dozens of bullets, bone cracks, deep wounds, explosions in her face, 50m falls... no worries, there's no life bar or medkits in this game... so in 30 secs Lara will be fine again.

    All in all this game experience is more close to a bad Tomb Raider movie than a good Tomb Raider game.    … Expand

Lara is a young woman, shipwrecked and stranded on a mysterious island with her friends. The game is tightly written and has a great storyline. The voice actor and the graphics capture the fear and sadness of Lara throughout the game.If you want to play a game similar to the Uncharted game on PC, then this is the game you should try.     really fun game
    got it for free via epic, and was surprised in how good the combat is.
    the titular tombs are ok, tho they dont play a big part in the story

    This was the first Tomb Raider game i every played, before this one i had 0 knowledge of what Lara Croft was.
    I loved it, one of the first PC games i ever cracked and later bought when i grew up and got a new PC.
    Definitely recomended

    This game looks beautiful in 2021 too . I started my tomb raider games journey from this game , i still play this game.

    Играем мы за главную героиню Лару Крофт.
    Мне игра понравилась за свою атмосферу и уникальность геймплея. Рекомендую ознакомится тем кто не игра в Tomb Raider.
    Хорошый саундтрек не раздражающий и подходящий.

    While not every promising idea Tomb Raider has is pulled off successfully, it nevertheless turns in a tense and memorable ride that combines modern game design with its forebears’ adventurous spirit in some exciting ways. Some of its missteps may well come at the cost of your enjoyment, but most can’t hope to hurt the adventure in the long run. Although it never fully finds its identity, this is a game and a story worth seeing through.
