    Grind, but almost all the mission types are just boring.
    Few enemies, and they have way to much hit points.
    Console port. poor controls for a shooter. Character generator is weak. Dont waste your money. .. Trying the follow the story from cellphones ect. is the only good part, but they are short, often gets cut out.. and after a while they too are a grind with the same theme being    Grind, but almost all the mission types are just boring.

    The main criticism is repetitive. The game mechanics are decent but the experience is terrible. The world is not really "open world" as previously advertised, the supposedly RPG aspect of the game is too lacking that it does not seem like an rpg at all. The major pvp area called the dark zone simply feels like a game mode with horrible balancing. As a whole, the game is repetitive, boring,The main criticism is repetitive. I completed the whole game because i paid for it , but it was the worst game i ever played, graphics are awfull(i played it on ultra) . even batman arkham asylum look way more better. Ok lets just forget the graphics , missions are repetive , darkzone is full of hackers and rooks , and finally the only thing to do after you beat the game is falcon lost , spamming it for better equipment.

    The hitboxes are only head, neck and torso. That is all. Again, lazy game design. Weapons that share a common ammo can actually have vastly different damage. Even with the blueprints the number range it says to expect often isn't even what you end up getting.
    Crafting was nerfed because they think we should spend endless hours hoping we get a decent drop. Sorry, was this meant to be fun or a damn job?
    The Light Zone as they refer to the PVE world is dead, empty, vapid and after you finish the short main story it no longer has a reason to exist so they tossed some repetitive Incursions into them.
    Oh they also gave you the HVT's but then decided they should require a full squad, not offer a functioning matchmaking system for them and weight the drops so that they in all likelihood only give you the same damn piece of gear. You know, more of that broken ass RNG I mentioned.
    The Support people are useless. Had somebody get into my Uplay account (which I shouldn't have to go through to simply play a game I never purchased directly from them) and I ended up with a 14 day ban because of it. They gave me no way to self report it. They won't even verify the IP address, that the password was in fact changed or that they screwed with my save file and characters in the process. I was told to prove it wasn't me. WTF?
    They ban people for cheating as well without proof and then demand they prove they did not cheat either which they know there is no way to do if they give you no details as to what, where, when, how you were cheating and assume everyong has a monster hard drive and records all gaming sessions since day **** one.
    Despite a metric eff ton of positive and well thought out ideas for ways to fix the game in their feedback, they simply ignore them.
    Now they are pushing Watch Dogs 2, another game they released broken after some false advertising and then dropped all support for. Sorry, you screwed me enough times already. Never purchasing anything with their name on it ever again. I really do hope Vivendi completes the hostile takeover and fires the entire company. Black ball those asshats.
    Oh I forgot, piss poor game optimization, they lied about a functioning anti-cheat in beta, they lied about the "rewards" the Season Pass owners would get, they lied about the outfits that they were to get as well and they continue to lie about their player base. At E3 they just claimed they had 10 million active players playing 3hrs a day. They maybe sold that many copies, ever but damn sure not 10 million people playing the game for 3 hours a day.

    First, it always crashes when I'm playing this game. It crashes again and again!!! My PC is fine and It doesn't happen when I play GTAV, Battlefield, Call of Duty or other games. Secondly, cheaters are everywhere in dark zone.
    I won't recommend this game to other gamers.

    It's not very good. Its just sort of generic timewasting trash. Do you like destiny and would you rather be playing an even more mediocre destiny thats a realistic 3rd person shooter where guns do no damage? If yes wait for it to go down in price then realize the servers are dead and DONT buy this game.

    This game is absolutely awful, I genuinely think the game play is fun and quite good but good god the game itself is awful. The story is non existent, the voice acting is laughable, the map is **** tiny considering ALL of New York was promised and so was Brooklyn.     UBISOFT MARKETING LIE TO PEOPLE. This game isnt MMO shooter, its single-player shooter with co-op. Map is too smal! And its only about better gear.

    Dont trust to ubisoft, they lie, all promo videos about "real footage" is fake and you can play only for one side, no "dark-side" exist there.

    Game won't start. And I mean it doesn't crash, it just pretends it is doing something before jumping back to Uplay (crappy Steam clone.) I guess the game doesn't even exist and all the reviews are being paid to lie.

    Boring game with nothing to do. Like usual with Ubisoft, the launch is terrible and comparing to the E3 2013 trailer, the game is different and not in the good way. It has been visually downgraded, elements of gameplay have been cut etc etc...
    A big disappointment and a waste of money.
    Ubisoft will never change !

    repetitive....... King of bugs...... king of haker!!! After playing for five hours it was hard to go on, but I stuck with it because some of the best games I have ever played get better as you progress. I have played for 20 hours and can't go on playing any longer

    Only played it for 7hrs.
    Heard the story is very short and bad.

    I just can't play. I have a good Internet, good PC but I get bugs. For example, enemies just do not load . It's like I'm playing with the invisible. Instead give the enemies of intellect , Ubisoft just gave them a lot of health. They just run at me, and my weapons do not cause them any damage. Very glad, that not spent on this game their money . Neither do you.

    I'm only ever interested in single-player content so being forced to always be online is a huge thumbs down from me.

    The idea and setting of this game are both very interesting... what a waste.

    A good looking and promising game at first. But after you've reached the current maximum level, all you do is the same exact missions over and over and over. And then you start to notice the little things that aren't perfect, like the crafting system. The multiplayer DarkZone is hard if you're alone, but can be fun if you're in a group. What started as a good looking and interesting game with possibilities is continuously turning unplayable and unfun. The players have noticed and there seem to be less and less players from day to day. The game itself would be a 7 or 8 itself if everything would be working but in the state it is in and since the game developers seem to have skipped some programming and quality assurance courses, the game is not worth anything above a 4. Very sad, was really hoping for this game to be as good as advertised.… Expand

    Log in. Get a series of images passing by so fast you can't actually watch it. Yeah, some kind of virus killed the populace. Get on with it.
    Emerge in a street. I can choose a character. I am a woman and I am white. The only two white women are a young dyke(only cropped haircuts) or the older variant of that girl with the option of having a small pony tail. The young girl is plain looking, the older one is ugly.
    I get annoyed.
    Picked the young one.
    Get instructions how to shoot(i know this stuff already so let's get going).
    The sign of button pops up. I probably have to press it. No explanation which button it is, so finally go into the menu and look at the controls: it is the space bar.
    Ok. Lets go. Press shift. I don't sprint.
    Look again in the controls: shift is sprint. Press shift again: can't sprint.
    Get seriously frustrated..
    Follow the instruction to shoot at the assigned objects and jump over obstacles.
    Can sprint now with shift.
    So they only unlock the sprint control after your followed the instructions.
    Move to some safehouse that I was ordered to go to.
    Safehouse crawls with people Called TSSSSsssK or GotaGartcha baby. UnderBeat or Malaficky. That I know from MMO's. What are all these people doing in my singleplayer?
    I get instruction to equip my frist skill. No explanation how to do this. So I have to figure out how to do it..
    Finally I get to go. I get three generic MMO style quests offered. Fetch this. Escort that or do this.
    Stopped game., deinstalled it and asked a refund.

    According to steam I played this game 39 minutes. It feels like I did not play at all.

    It is forced always online. If severs or your internet connection goes down the game shuts down. When developers decide they don't want to support the game anymore and don't bother releasing an offline patch you will have bought an useless brick.

    First of all, The Division is not a bad game, it have a great potential for further content updates, events, and expansions, first one "Underground" is already kinda good, but a big problem is that Ubisoft can't do a great PC port.     After you reached max level and have seen all the missions once the game gets boring. The dailies are a bad joke, do the same boring missions again and again. The weekly mission is also an great joke, its like "kill 40 of this" farm 10 of this"... The Dark Zone.. next big **** guys with gearscore 200+ onehit every "normal" players, nothing of the pvp is skill based, its just euqip... theAfter you reached max level and have seen all the missions once the game gets boring. The dailies are a bad joke, do the same boring missions again and again. The weekly mission is also an great joke, its like "kill 40 of this" farm 10 of this"... The Dark Zone.. next big **** guys with gearscore 200+ onehit every "normal" players, nothing of the pvp is skill based, its just euqip... the new "epic" raid is just an horde mode with 15 waves. Just boring. You pump 1-2 magazines into every enemy until he dies and kill wave after wave for 20 minutes.
    This game doesnt have any real endgame content, its boring as hell after you finish the PVE-Campaign and people glitch the **** out of the only boring "raid" implemented so far.
    I will not buy any DLC for this game and i dont suggest to buy it at all. It will be dead or free to play in 6-12 months.    … Expand

    As a solo player, this is the worst looter shooter game I have ever played. Zero game balance skew towards singleplayer. Boss enemies are just high damage high accuracy bullet sponges and all you can do is to dance around them because they can snipe you with minigun. And when there is more than one in a tight spot, you are screwed. Zero fun, very frustrating.

    Stupid children with all sort of hack intoxicated the game all day long.

    I have approximately 110 hours in the game and it was fun in the beginning as the game engine is beyond beautiful. Unfortunately as soon as you leave the singleplayer storyline you run into massive amounts of bugs, glitches and on the pc hacks and bots used by players making the entire pvp zone unplayable. Worst thing is Massives/Ubisofts utter lack of communication on the problem, firstI have approximately 110 hours in the game and it was fun in the beginning as the game engine is beyond beautiful. Unfortunately as soon as you leave the singleplayer storyline you run into massive amounts of bugs, glitches and on the pc hacks and bots used by players making the entire pvp zone unplayable. Worst thing is Massives/Ubisofts utter lack of communication on the problem, first DLC was a horrid 15 wave single room that instantly was exploited so players are running around in high level gear that takes a legit player months to get. And still nothing is done. Players are leaving the game in droves only the botkids are soon left. I have requested a refund at least on the season pass here in GMG though I doubt it. Stay away from this wreck of a game until it gets a GOTY and they have fixed the exploits and hack situation. Who puts serious data on the client side today? *sigh*. Ubisoft should be ashamed… Expand

    The frostbite engine looks amazing but makes it impossible to track and ban hackers as said by the developers and is quite and oversight of using this engine. As detailed as the map of New york is its just so DAMN EMPTY, put more npcs patrolling or allow players with open matchmaking to encounter each other sometimes as they're navigating the city. The darkzone feels just as desolate, you expect 24-28 players to occupy the 9 segments of the DZ? The fact that rogues can end their manhunt through rogue terminals proves otherwise. I've seen 4 man teams go manhunt 4 times before anyone tried to stop them from redeeming their manhunt.    … Expand

    It's designed as an online co-op game, but you can play solo. Though there seems to be a latency delay no matter what. You can't pause the game, and if you idle for too long they'll kick you out and you'll have to restart the whole mission (not even from checkpoint).

    There's lots of HUD items on your screen, particularly in the center of it, which I don't like. You can hide only some of    It's designed as an online co-op game, but you can play solo. Though there seems to be a latency delay no matter what. You can't pause the game, and if you idle for too long they'll kick you out and you'll have to restart the whole mission (not even from checkpoint).

    The guns aren't fun to use, and the general gameplay isn't fun.

    Headshots don't seem to matter, and it takes anywhere from a dozen bullets to a full clip to kill someone. This seems to tie into the fact that the game is designed for multiplayer, so they expect enemies to get shot at by multiple people. Problem is, even if you wanted to, I wasn't able to find any partners in matchmaking.

    There's no stealth killing. No crouch. No sneaking up on people and taking them out from behind.

    The graphics are nice, run well, and aren't heavily demanding. But unfortunately they're the only good thing about this game. And they're not good enough to counter all the other deficits.    … Expand

    Storyline? There is none. Controls? Just take the regulars one, delete all the useful mapping and then f ock up the remaining ones after a good dose of drugs. AI?Just some random functions glued together. Quests? There are no such things, it's the same objective over and over and over again. Weapons?     As per the Co-Op/Multiplayer, you literally have no idea of how badly it is implemented, if you try the hard mode on the main quests, you will keep praying got that no one will join, because there is no way the average Division fan will be able to even reach the initial objective (literally the entrance door).    … Expand

    It took The Division a lot of time to reach our computers and consoles, but it was worth waiting for. We have already spent about 200 hours with it collectively and we’re not planning on abandoning it, because it is, simply put, outstanding and shows amazing potential for the future. [05/2016, p.30]
