Great game. Very fast paced game and gets intense. This is an Honest rating on the game. many below and most likely above will give 0-4 or 8-10... It doesnt deserve any of those. Had the game been valued at say, 30 or 40 dollars... this rating would be higher more around a 8 or maybe 9. The game play is VERY VERY fun. Considering this game was made from a branch off Infinity Ward, the company is newer, so I wasnt expecting a very great graphic intense game. The graphics are good though like i said, a 7.5/10 for our time. The 6 vs 6 in the game is right on and makes the game enjoyable. No one wants 30 bots running around on a map at a time, that wont be fun. The campaign mode is fun, but note *it is a multi-player 6 vs 6*.. same thing as multi player but has dialog and a little story behind why you are fighting. I'm just angered at at the content.... It's low.. and they want to sell a little bit more content later for $25 more... If they add more FREE content the game will advance and be better in all. Just like the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. started small, ended up big after FREEEEE....FREEEE DLC. so again... game play 9/10... graphics 7.5/10... content 5/10 Expand

High quality multiplayer game missing some core features as server browser and 6v6 without titans and AI balast. Game is very fun to play and I recommend this game to everyone who like fast mp games as quake for example.

I was indifferent about this game when it was hyped and when it came out, but after getting it for $36 on a amazon sale, I can say I'm impressed. The gameplay is very fun and satisfying. The game play is very fast paced, the weapons for your mech are fun, and the hit detection is solid. Also you have a lot of NPCs playing with you in each match, so every game feels like a big battle. I really enjoy that aspect.

Now this game isn't perfect. The campaign is a multiplayer campaign, and it's fun. But the story is pretty much non-existent, and there isn't a single player campaign. I think it would be cool if they had single player campaign, then a multiplayer campaign. The current campaign by itself is very short, and I think it was a missed opportunity.

Also the last flaw is I think there should be more weapons for your solider. The amount of weapons and customization is underwhelming. Also the NPCs, while cool to have you in battle, are basically walking targets. They aren't too smart or difficult, but they are good for target practice or getting a few kills.

So if you find this game on sale for $40 or less, then I recommend you check it out if you enjoy FPS games. You will find the gameplay very satisfying, sound effects are good, and fighting mechs on foot or in one is really fun. That said, the game isn't worth $60 for what it has. It's worth $30 in my view, but for $40 I think you'll still get your money's worth.

This game is Online Versus Only.
Not worth buying until price reach 29.99 USD.
Only good part is New Gameplay unlike Most Shooters nowdays.
Season Pass DLCs are worth since Filesize is 600MB-Upwards not Pay to unlock key.

That doubt, however, was eliminated when I got into the game. The lack of a single-player campaign is more than made up for in the sheer gameplay possibilities. Respawn most certainly has spared no expense in making this the most action-packed, revolutionary and enjoyable multiplayer shooter that money can buy right now.

On the in game battlefield there's two distinct levels of battle - One, the foot soldiers on the ground, like the traditional FPSes from Respawn's Infinity Ward heritage, and two, the battles between the colossal Titans, making the experience all the more exciting as you wait for your Titan to fall into play, allowing you to join the "real" fight.

The jump-kit mechanics also offer something new to the otherwise tired Multiplayer FPS genre, in a way combining it with platforming genres - allowing for double-jumps and even wallrunning, and there's a veritable treasure trove of tactics to be discovered with regards to these mechanics.

In summary, to describe Titanfall in a nutshell, it's like HAWKEN crossed with the best bits of Call of Duty, with a little Mirror's Edge thrown in. And the result is a delicious and revolutionary action FPS which will always leave you hungry for more.

Titanfall is a best shooter that came out for the last 7 years. I was enjoying every COD game, but Ghosts killed the series for me. I used to love Quake, Unreal Tournament and CS. This is fresh air. Well done Respawn. Just add some more modes, pilots only mode and we have a absolute killer. Thanks!

**** Brilliant. They couldn't have refined it any more. Game of the year, I say. This is a truly remarkable game, full of a high powered, fun range of futuristic weaponry, fantastic graphics (if you're computer's good enough!), groundbreaking mechanics, an undefined parkour system, and the gameplay will leave your face glued full throttle to your monitor.

As soon as this game finishes installing, ahem - 4.5 hours approx - ahem, you will be playing non-stop. This is truly the ultimate first person shooter. Get it now.

By the way, anyone who rates this game below 7 have either serious mental issues, only play COD, or are **** **** trolls.

    PROS
    - It's fun.
    - Even if you're not great at shooters, you can contribute to your team by capturing flags like in conquest or domination modes of other games and there are also a lot of AI units running around that give you points for kills. Just a couple of example of how you can feel a bit of accomplishment even when not killing the opposing team's human players.

    - The unlock progression is decent. The different weapon types provide enough variety within the context of the game. Matchmaking becomes better the longer you play during a particular session. I find most rounds to be lopsided when I first hop into the game and they begin to even out the more rounds I play. The matchmaking is decent.

    - Only experienced lag a couple of times.

    - The sound is great, but I'm not sure about the surround positioning. Seems built for stereo at this point with few audio option settings.

    - The graphics are crisp.

    - The maps are great.

    CONS
    - Some of the time I don't feel like many people are even playing this on PC as it can take 5 minutes+ for you to get placed on a team and them another 5+ for the server to match your team up with an opposing team.
    - Too much time between rounds. In addition to sometimes waiting for a matchup, there's 90 seconds of countdown to the 60 seconds of loading the map and the added 10-second countdown to the drop ship sequence (10 more seconds?). This is even with both teams populated.
    - Some of the time I feel like hardly anyone is playing this game on PC as it will sometimes take a looooong time to get a team matchup. If you play 'Attrition' mode (like deathmatch), this is not an issue. If you play campaign or other multi-player modes, you can expect to wait for a matchup.
    - The graphics are a little cartoony/painted similar to CoD Ghosts on a console.

Honestly, at first I thought it sucked, but the more I play it, the more addictive it has become. I like it!

Pretty nice game with some really interesting new ideas. Since the campaign missions are played with other players it is much more exciting and replayable.

Awesome game. There is a lack of content and customisation. The whole package should not be sold at its current price but the game play is definitely new and refreshing. I believe there is potential for deeper tactics as there are so many more paths given the extra dimension that have not been discovered. Hopefully they release more in the upcoming DLCs.

This game is all about the multiplayer so I won't downgrade it for that. What I will downgrade it for is clunky controls. Moving so fast with a mouse and keyboard isn't optimal. With players moving extremely fast it is almost impossible to get a good shot off. Teams are filled with bots. They don't do much and are basically free kills. This doesn't seem like a negative until you get into the heat of a battle and start shooting at 4 bots only to have an enemy player kill you from somewhere else. I would have preferred no bots because they are a distraction. I'll find myself killing 10 bots/game and only 2 players.
This game lacks content. There are very few equipment selections available and to make everything else paid DLC, especially in a game that lacks a single player campaign in absurd. A bare bones IP that lacks multi player content and single player shouldn't fall victim to the "season pass" treatment. The game is very innovative with movement. The titan gameplay could be improved. It isn't nearly as exciting as it could be. I'm more excited to get titans because they are overpowered than because they are fun to use. Maybe I'm out of the loop but the game never said how to defeat a titan. You'll get killed over and over again by them because it doesn't make sense how to take one down as a pilot. As a titan all you can do is just shoot at one. I like the game. It's not worth $60. It's fun but don't expect it to reinvent the fps genre. It's a nice change of pace but the lack of substance keeps it from reaching its full potential.

I purchased Titanfall day one for $60 and put in about 60 to 70 hours of gameplay and here are my thoughts.

Playing the game reminds me a lot of Call of Duty, which some small changes. Now before I get into my review i think the gamestyle of COD has been over used and the formula has not been changed at all between the 6 games that they have released. Each game has added some small additions, but the core gameplay has stayed the same, which i believe is a downfall of a multiplayer game.

The Titanfall gameplay pulls heavily from its predecessor, but does attempt to be different. Movement (walking and running) feels about the same and combat feels exactly the same. Moving though the buildings though feels new, being able to jetpack jump and easily grab onto ledges and windows to pull yourself in feels great. Wall running feels fluent and straight out of a Prince of Persia game. Titan movement and combat feels somewhat unique in its own way. They make the guns feel more powerful but a bit more clunky but still easy to use. Movement feels right in the titan, replacing jump with a dash to quickly move out of combat. Huge buildings will be your best friend for cover.

Now lets talk about the pros of this game. Games are played 6v6 on huge maps, which seems like it would be a downfall and kill the pacing of the game, but different types of AI are added in as sort of a buffer to keep the pace correct and the action going. You will see drop pods for Marines and Spectre which you will be able to kill and in the case of Spectres take control of. This gives it the illusion of being huge games but with keeping the titan limit of 12 down. To call your titan down you will need to wait for your bar to fill up or get kills/objectives to fill up the bar quickly. The maps of the most part all feel balanced and correctly paced. The combat feels CODish but still enjoyable.

Now for the cons. Getting the game day one, being able to finish the campaign (the campaign is a joke) was fairly easy. I quickly blew through both sides. Two of my friends got the game about a month late for a discounted price and we tried to play thought the campaign to get all the titans unlocked for them, but it was brutal. People would leave and the game would reset you back to the start even though you were 4 or 5 missions in. This makes it very difficult to complete one let alone both sides. Took several weeks but we were able to finish it. That being said can I ask a totally legitimate question, why even bother with the campaign? You play the same game types on the same levels with some cheesy voice acting that you will not even pay attention to. Why play it then? Because you have to play them at least once to unlock all the titans for the custom load-outs. I cant even image people who get the game 8 months late what they are going though to try to complete this.

Next would be the price. Respawn entertainment told everyone before the game was released that it was MULTIPLAYER ONLY, so no one (including myself) should complain about what you get, but i just wish it was released with a lower price tag, especially since it was reduced about a month after launch to $45 i believe. The game would of been a lot more popular if it was released day one with a lower price tag. The game also suffers from DLCitious, having (as far as i know) only maps that you can purchase.

Finally the huge thing that holds this game back from ever being competitive would be the burn cards. These cards are random and give you special perks somewhat like COD kill streaks. You can equip 3 of these pregame and use them one at a time at the start of the game or between spawns.

Overall the game is fun and i enjoyed the time that i put into the game, but i wish i had waited till the price tag would of dropped. The game has some flaws and the package is a bit small for the hefty $60 price tag but for 20 dollars less it could be a great game. If they were to release a Titanfall 2 i would buy and play it, but not day one for $60. I hope they learn from what they did incorrect here and exclude those things in the followup game and improve on what they did right.
