The Swords of Ditto is a very beautiful game with a simple but interesting story that fit perfectly well in the context of the gameplay. The soundtrack is very beautiful and friendly, plus the aesthetic Zelda + Adventure Time which is hilarious!

    The takeaway:

Enjoyable game, but most negative reviews are mostly technical issues which I never personally encountered and not understanding that a rogue-like means perma death. My advice is if the game is too difficult change the game mode to easy! I beat it on easy mode, first playthrough, by myself and I am terrible at games! The other thing people gripe about is the timer amount before going to the final fight. Okay, fair enough. My word to the devs, make the timer optional and not forced unless the player wants it.

It blends Zelda with roguelikes, but manages to add some elements of its own. If you enjoyed Enter the Gungeon or Crypt of the Necrodancer, you should definitely check The Swords of Ditto out. [07/2018, p.83]

Swords of Ditto is a really cute dungeon crawler with pretty simple yet challenging game mechanics that will hold until the very end.

Despite a repetitive level-design and an obvious lack of a proper scenario, The Sword of Ditto is both lovely to watch and to listen to. Nicely paced and crafted, it’s even better when played in coop.
