Sep 22, 2014Not buying this game on sheer principle. It maybe very good, but leaving out pools, toddlers and customization options just paves the way for EA to exploit money from people by releasing the features at a trickle slow speed in DLC. But then I guess that just adds to the list of franchises that EA has poisoned.

Dec 11, 2016The amount of content you get with the base game is like 1/3 of the Sims 3. EA the Apple of the gaming industry, and is charging us 10,00/20,00/40,00 euro's for content that should've been in the game already. Seriously, don't buy this, **** EA.

Sep 20, 2014A devolution of The Sims, and the worst base game of The Sims since its debut 14 years ago. Lacking integral base game features, which we can count on EA only selling back to us later at an even higher premium. Blatant greed. Instead of improving existing features, EA just cut them. Lazy. Not acceptable for an informed consumer like myself.

Sep 20, 2014The game is missing everything i loved about the other Sims, it doesn't cater to the gamers like me that buy these games to create extravagant house. I know its a life simulation but there only reason I played it at all was the building. Creating a Sims is even crap compared to Sims 3. I hate it and wish i could get my money back

Sep 21, 2014How in the world could they manage to screw this game up so bad? I have always loved The Sims series and spent alot of time on it, but this one i played for some buggy hours and refunded. The game feels half finished. Like they ran out of time and just said "whatever, we'll add it as extra content later and get even more money that way".
Huge disappointment. -

Sep 29, 2014This game sucked. EA took everything out and is going to make you buy it all again. For $80 I should have gotten everything or the ability to make anything and not have to buy expansion packs. I took it back and I won't be buying it again at a later date. Good riddens to bad rubbish. If you are thinking about buying it, don't save your money for other, better games.

Nov 3, 2014This game is a shame. An epic fail. There is no fun in the gameplay. to childish this game is. the graphic did not improve at all after all these years. the only good part of the game is creating sims and houses.

Dec 22, 2014Even more disappointing than the new SimCity. It's like they rebuilt the game for a $3 phone app and ported it to PC for $60. I shudder at the thought of EA scheming to charge us for a dishwasher as DLC.

Jul 23, 2020While an enjoyable title that has been polished up and seems generally very modern, it cannot be expected that The Sims 4 is not going to be compared to The Sims 3. In this respect, it seems that while the game took a few steps forwards, it also took a few steps backwards by abandoning features that were very helpful and appreciated in the previous versions. It does have new features that people have been waiting for, such as emotions and more personality for the Sims. As for now, for some players it may not quite be worth to abandon The Sims 3 for it, but for new players looking for a first experience with the franchise, they may have an easier time navigating than former The Sims 3 players. People that have previously enjoyed the latter may be disappointed by the menus (Sim creation, building, or navigating town), as they have been so massively oversimplified that they are now actually confusing.

CD-ActionOct 24, 2014The Sims 4 is just a foundation of a game. How would you react if you bought a new Elder Scrolls game and realized that half of the cities are unavailable (because TES6: World Adventures is around the corner), there are only 4 weapons (TES6: Accessories), you can’t ride horses (TES6: Pets), there are only 12 quests (TES6: Careers), 2 guilds (TES6: Friends) and 3 spells (TES6: Supernatural)?
