So much information, and so many possibilities that it can be almost scary. On the other hand, players are given the opportunity to design a whole new period of life for their Sims. While not always easy to navigate, Discover University definitely adds a lot to gameplay.

The biggest problems with The Sims 4: Discover University aren’t with the University part of the game; they’re lasting problems with The Sims 4 itself. There’s one new aspiration for Sims — getting educated — but no new traits. Right now, aspirations are the biggest thing that differentiate Sims from each other. A master actress and career criminal are going to lead two very different lives.

If you have played every game in this franchise you already know that the quality of the DLC that comes out steadily declines in terms ofIf you have played every game in this franchise you already know that the quality of the DLC that comes out steadily declines in terms of quality and quantity. Since the base game is already mediocre at best, the DLC has finally reached the lowest score I could possibly give it. It is an insult to the franchise and only is a traditional SIms DLC in terms of a lying trailer, rehashed content that doesn't tie into the rest of the game (and certainly not other DLC) and some items that you were actually missing.

As usual at this point you only get half of the content for twice the price. While you had lectures, sororities and a huge new world to explore in the Sims 3, you get a barebone dormitory, a miniature world full of rabbitholes, useless extensions to the club system, and roughly 100 additional items (40 % of them recolors or very specific and therefore useless for everyday building). Throw in 3 hairstyles and 3 outfits so that everyone appears to visit the clown college, and then dive into the gameplay loop.

Which is doing homework and nothing else. The whole college "experience" is visiting rabbitholes and doing homework. And you'll have to do it for at least 21 long days, and you'll do nothing else. Of course you can live with "housemates" now who behave pretty much like visitors who occasionally sleep, don't give a frack about what time of the day it is and can savely be ignored because they don't even spot new traits.

Yes, it's yet another DLC without any additions to the AI, but of course you get the usual army of bugs and glitches that will never be fixed.

If you love gaming in the style of German work simulations, go with the street cleaning simulator instead. That one would gain at least one point from me. This one doesn't.

My favourite expansion pack alongside Sims 4 Get Famous and city living, rightly so as it offers hours of gameplay and is so interestingMy favourite expansion pack alongside Sims 4 Get Famous and city living, rightly so as it offers hours of gameplay and is so interesting choosing what path they take whilst going university. You can create some interesting storylines within this pack and is well worth purchasing. Cons: There can be many lags including sims refusing to go to class and the amount of work to complete is excessive. Glitches can be common but regardless an enjoyable pack. Full Review »
