Let's be real, the mods make this game. Although vanilla is fun, the mods make it great.

This game is a 9/10 thanks to the modding community. They saved this game, was ok by itself but mods made it god-teir. Hopefully the modding community saves Starfield too.

Possibly Bethesda's greatest game so far. Times have moved on since Morrowind, this is a fun, engaging game with hundreds of hours of content. It is my most played RPG of all time.

It offers a sense of discovery, adventures, good optimization and graphics for its period, never-ending missions and immersion, as well as its epicness. My friend, Starfield can never be Skyrim. Skyrim was very different.

A solid game that still holds up today especially when you add in mods. But still has some problems.

    Rating: 10/10

Skyrim, the legendary open-world role-playing game from Bethesda Game Studios, deserves a perfect 10 in my book. Let me guide you through the reasons why this Nordic epic deserves a special place in the hearts of all video game enthusiasts.

Immersive Atmosphere: From the moment you step into the world of Skyrim, you are immersed in a captivating and lifelike atmosphere. Bustling cities, ancient temples, and mountainous landscapes are infused with an ambiance that makes you feel a part of the world. The realism and attention to detail in every corner of the game are astonishing and draw you deeply into the experience.

Unforgettable Soundtrack: Skyrim's music deserves special recognition. The soundtrack, composed by Jeremy Soule, is a masterpiece that adds a deep emotional dimension to the story and exploration. Each melody evokes a range of feelings, from the majesty of the landscapes to the tension of combat. It's one of those soundtracks that will stay with you long after you've put down the game.

Absolute Freedom: One of Skyrim's greatest achievements is its ability to let you be whoever you want. You can be a noble knight, a stealthy thief, a powerful mage, or even a ruthless bounty hunter. This freedom to shape your character and your destiny is exceptional. Your choices affect not only the main story but also side stories and relationships with characters. The sense of control over your fate in Skyrim is great.

Conclusion: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is more than a game; it's an experience that captivates you from the very beginning. Its immersive atmosphere makes you feel like you're living in a fantasy world, its soundtrack is a perfect emotional accompaniment, and its freedom to shape your character and story is exceptional. No matter how many years have passed since its release, Skyrim remains an undisputed classic of PC gaming. Dive into this epic world and discover the magic of Skyrim for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Probably one of the greatest games of all time.

I could gush for hours about how beautiful and intricately designed the world is, how expansive the side quests are, and how rich the lore and setting is. But I'll spare you a massive wall of text. To me what makes Skyrim so great, is that it's a game that releases you into a world to do whatever you want, whenever you want. The world

The world is filled with all kinds of cool stuff to be found. Ancient ruins, huge cities, crime syndicates, warring armies, kings trying to maintain power, etc.

But what's even cooler than all this scripted stuff, is the unscripted stuff you can do. For instance, if you want to rob a store, you can go rob it. No quest or even UI required. Just pick the lock, walk inside, and take what you want. If you want to assassinate a character, you can track them through the city, follow them to some dark alley and knife them from behind in the dead of night. If you want to become a monster hunter, you can go out into the world and ravage giant camps, face off against powerful dragons, and hunt vampires through the caverns beneath Skyrim. Or maybe you want to be an Indiana Jones, you can scour the land searching for mysterious artifacts, temples, and ruins.

The game truly allows you to do it all. And if you get bored of running around making your own stories, Bethesda's got you covered. There are dozens of deep side questlines to keep you entertained that range everywhere from rebuilding a disgraced guild of thieves to tracking down an ancient Dwarven city rumored to have a forge capable of crafting weapons of incomprehensible power.

Skyrim is a masterpiece, a word that I don't use lightly. And that's without even considering the modding scene, which is among the best in gaming. I completed my first playthrough of it in 2022 and am shocked to report that, in my opinion, Skyrim is still better than many of the games that have been released since 2011. The fact that a game from 2011 is better than a game released in 2023 is baffling to me, and a true testament to how great the game actually is. Some might claim that Skyrim is great because of nostalgia, but I've only played it a handful of times in my life prior to getting it in 2022 and have very little nostalgia for it. It's just a great game, and still holds up well even 12 years after release. There's not a lot of games that have this kind of lifespan, and still continue to hold their own against newer games. As a result of this, and the truly incredible experience that Skyrim provides, I think it's easily deserving of a perfect score. 10/10

When you evaluate something, you have a reference point. For me, the reference point for a movie is The Dark Knight, and the reference point for a game is Skyrim, which has always been a reference point for me, from when I didn't play many games to when I played many great games.

Edit: Paid mods are gone but modgate will not be forgotten. We will stay vigilant, and we will be watching.

Skyrim is worth playing once again, hopefully Fallout 4 ends up the same way.

RPG por excelencia. Gracias a la libertad que te da, y a las miles de historias secundarias que contiene, aguanta año tras año sin ser desbancado por algo mejor. El combate es bastante tosco, como en todos los juegos de Bethesda hasta la fecha.

It has a very big world that you can explore and do different quests, there are different characters that you can interact with, different items and different weapons are also in the game.
    Skyrim is truly a masterpiece.
Be sure to test his mods.

I spent easily over 3000 hours playing this game, thanks to mods mostly, the world is amazing, thankfully the modding community makes up for bethesda's bland quest design. But hey they are amazing at world building. This game also gave birth to Enderal: Forgotten Stories, which was one of my favorite games of all time.

Extremely huge game, plenty of areas and characters with his own routines. The sensation of became part of the world is immense and immersive, and the freedom of action is very accomplished.
The only flaws are the level scaling of objects and enemies (so the special ones tend to be mediocre if you find them soon) and the boring secondary missions, that affects the main history.

A significant step back for the series from Oblivion, but still fun enough for a couple playthrough. I recently played this game for the very first time and I loved it overall but I think the game has just been surpassed by other games with newer engines. The open world here for example, is great but I get super annoyed by mountains that I just can't get up to find an item. I found myself too often avoiding missions in parts of the map because of this issue. Great game. I played it on the 360, I played on my crappy laptop, and I played it on my gaming PC when I managed to get one. Pretty atemporal and nice game, no wonder why they keep re-releasing it every now and then (and people keep buying it).

Unfortunately, Skyrim trips and falls on its own (most probably, to make the cool-sounding deadline of 11-11-11) and just before it reaches perfection as the ultimate specimen of its genre, it self-destructs in a crucial aspect of game design: the interface and the peripheral components (inventory, journal, map, etc)... but that is not to say that Skyrim is anything but a truly majestic, epic RPG that will suck you right in its cosmos.
