    The fourth official expansion pack to the six-year-old MMO hardly does justice to the source material that it's based on, but it still manages to conjure up a decent adventure of its own.

    The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor is a solid new Chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga, despite hewing too closely to tradition at times. The main story may be a bit of a bust, but the variety of excellent side-stories on offer proves The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the best story-oriented MMOs on the market.

    Greymoor is an expansion in line with the others that preceded it. As usual, it enjoys a well-kept and pleasant setting to explore, in addition it brings to mind the memories of Skyrim and enriches them with the underground caves of Blackreach, expanded and revisited compared to The Elder Scrolls V.

    The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor isn’t a bad chapter by any stretch. It’s dark themes really shine through in the storytelling, and while the main questline felt lackluster thanks to its predictability and my issues with the buggy boss fights, the side quests told complex and entertaining stories - the kind I’ve come to love from the ZeniMax team.... But it’s greatest enemy wasn’t the Vampire coven at the center of the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, but rather the unpolished feeling Greymoor gave me as bugs and performance issues plagued the experience, even after the team deployed multiple fixes. In the end, it leaves me wondering whether or not Greymoor should have been delayed longer and given more time to stick its landing

    The Elder Scrolls Online heads back to familiar locale ahead of the 10th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Unfortunately, Western Skyrim isn't the same stunning location as Morrowind or Summerset. There are moments of beauty, but Skyrim itself is drab, grey landscape for the most part. The undercroft of Blackreach is a more interesting and fantastical location, but it's only half of the entire experience. And while the Antiquities system is a fun addition, the harrowstorm open-world events feel hauntingly familiar. ESO's storytelling is still top-notch, but where that story is told matters just as much.

    they released this **** in a alpha version. Don't buy it.
    A lot of glitches.
    Infinite loading screens.
    Lag issues.

    This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Due to the repeated failure of improving their servers to a point where new expansions are playable upon release I feel there is no choice but to rank this as low as I have. The game has been out a full day now and the servers are still yo-yo’ing without apology from the devs.

    This results in daily chains being missed, subscribers losing out on their money’s worth etc.

    Not only are the servers unable to handle the player base, resulting in frequeant skill delay, unplayable modes such as cyrodil but they also fail to fix almost decade old bugs.

    The actual content is good... to some extent. New gear options (however this comes at a cost of huge nerds to existing gear and having to redo content for ‘upgraded gear’ which players already had ) this is akin to a WOW gear treadmill where new patches release new gear exponentially forcing players to gring.

    However the retroactive removal of established traits and play styles and replacement of ones which entirely ruin the aforementioned play styles renders a lot of the new vampire werewolf content unplayable. This is especially true for a huge proportion of players who ran these lines for the passives which are no longer viable.

    I reccomend buying greymoor as a casual game, don’t get too invested, don’t buy eso plus.
    However, this opens up new builds for a larger variety of builds focused solely on the respective curses. Namely tank werewolf.

    Having playing this for two days now, there are even more bugs than I imagined. Scrying, the new skill line, you are often kicked mid scry resulting in losing all your progress and the chains of symbols resetting often messing up your progress. New vampire skills are just re skins of old skills.    … Full Review »

    To complete the package, the devs proceed to update weapons sets but instead of updating your weapon, they make you waste your time and resources re-farming them again and will nerf pretty much anything because they cannot balance PvE and PvP properly.

    Oh and game director will mock you if you say you're very much against his decisions. He can do so because he apparently plays his game.    … Full Review »
