    A solid 7. It's not mindblowing but it's definitely a solid game. I liked the melee combat, though there was some potential for more/better weapons as well as some more enemy variety.
    Parts of the story were rather predictable and not exactly fresh, but it was an enjoyable ride nonetheless. Could use a sequel following up after that ending.

    Ignore the negative reviews, it’s a fantastic game, next level visuals and an amazing atmosphere and great characters. Not every game needs to be 100 hours + with open worlds, sometimes it’s great to play a well crafted story-driven game, which takes you on a journey. I would highly recommend it; definitely challenging gameplay too. You really have to perfect your timing!

    The Callisto Protocol is a bloody spectacle! I finished it on the hardest difficulty, Maximum Security. Great challenge at times. A nice combination of most of my favourite survival horror games such as The Last of Us, Resi 4, The Evil Within. My only nit-pick is that I would have liked it to be a few hours longer. 9/10

    Great graphic. The game design is not polished. Predictable enemies, no suspense, and technical issues: my saves had gone from the game menu after the pre prefinal boss, I found them on a disk, started a new game and only then could load them. Feels like I already plaid this game before: hello Dead Space.

    I'm a huge fan of sci-fi and horror so I was looking forward to playing this game. What a disappointment. The story is, at best, okay. It moves at a snail's pace but it was the only thing that kept me playing. The combat is atrocious. It's so mundane, sluggish, and boring. It seems to be made to fight 1v1; even the AI knows it because they will only attack one at a time.

    The gameplay is fairly good, but I wish it had more forms of monsters and a more creative method of fighting, but the story and graphics are very good, but unfortunately the performance on PC was bad and needs improvement.

    Very good game. I understand that I bought it after 6 months for like 20 dollars. Biggest issue with this game was clearly that they wanted 70 dollars for 10h long game. There are some caveats like monsters not reacting when you stealth kill another monster just meter away.     The developers of Callisto created some interesting things for their version of the Dead Space, but the current system and core of the project is poor for evolving on next chapters. As a designer, I would like more diverse in Lighting scenes and more curious decisions in Level Design as well. All locations feel the same, because of Environment Storytelling problems.… Expand

    Calisto protocol is the Resident Evil 6 of the modern era. Look like it would be a blast but is so badly made and designed that it's a chore to play. And at least RE6 had sex appeal and cool characters so it sold 6 million.

    Nice graphics, very badly designed combat, feels irreponsive simplistic and confusing.
    It was not easy to complete due the pain that some times means playing it.
    Another AAA blunder.

    The game is literally too boring. You walk and kill zombies and kill and kill you will get bored. There is no change in events or anything like that. And the numbers of zombies are very very many. Every meter you find a zombie. So that the man can not catch his breath.

Después de 5 días ya jugándolo en PC obviamente. los gráficos son espectaculares, con todo el ultra y el trazados de rayos activos en 4K, corre a 55 fps estables, teniendo activo el AMD frs2 en calidad hay instantes en que baja eso sucede de manera irregular por lo general corre suave y fluido, posee un buen rendimiento, hice pruebas bajando detalles y lo único que mejoraba eranBuenas.     A la mecánica de juego, rápido te habitúas a ella, principalmente es combate de melee, de las armas la escopeta me encanta, los enemigos suelen ir atacando casi de uno en uno o dos, así si vez muchos debes usar una estrategia de combate y saldrás airoso. Tiene sus momentos de sustos estos sus algo escasos. Al ser un entorno cerrados hay ratos que es claustrofóbico. El sonido anda muy bien, he notado que al jugar con sonido envolvente 5,1 la voz tiende a disminuir . La historia tiende a ser medio tipo Doom a ratos pasando a la intriga, mantiene la atención en ella desarrollándose. En general es un buen juego. Debiera ver mas aspectos para las armas    … Expand

    5) Absolutely garbage enemy variety (Same 4 enemies all game)
    6) Review embargo lifted in the day of release to scam customers cause they knew the game wasn't ready for launch

    I really like the game. I have total dead space vibes each time I play this game. Brutal ,violent and vicious. Graphics are absolutely mind blowing.

    After being able to test the work done on the Dead Space remake, I have to say that this game now seems even worse to me as a PC port. Callisto Protocol director appears to glorify crunch culture, that its a shame. Terrible optimization launch and final game content divided into dlc's. On top of that, they wanted to sell it as a super production.     Wrote the first review by mistake for the PS5 but meant it for the PC. This game was AWESOME!!! It is was truly 2008 Dead Space resurrected in 2022. Can't wait for Glen and crew to make the sequel.

It is true that the story and gameplay is no very different to other survival games, and the performance could be better, but if you like the genre you will definitely going to enjoy this game a lot.     What an over hyped game infested with QTEs, a crappy save system, crappy combat system, lousy story & characters, new game plus in DLC package, and messy PC port. Only get it once it's been patched many times over along, complete with every DLC, and just $10-20. Game is overly undeserving of it's $70 price tag.

Callisto Protocol gives the player only one thing to appreciate, the visuals. But, even this wears thin after your first hour dredging through the game.     The game ia great. If you like single player action thriller/horror games (like resident evil or dead space) youll like this game. More melee than other similar games. Environment is great and story is okay enough to keep you playing.

    At its current state on PC, it's an unoptimized MESS. Its update on PC by its devs hardly made any improvements. With a high-end PC, playing it at its lowest settings does not solve anything, since it is an obvious optimization problem, and not because of a lack of resources on the PC.

    Performance and optimization aside.... its melee focus gameplay is ATROCIOUS, TEDIOUS and FULL OF JANK!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A total of 15O ppl from PLAYSTATl0N MALAYSIA & PLAYSTATl0N VlSUAL ARTS worked on the development of THE CALLlST0 PR0T0C0L, which is actually very telling of why this game only runs properly on a PLAYSTATl0N 5.

    So, here are my personal takes, after being gaslighted by this—
    PUNCH-0UT SlMULAT0R Space Zombies Edition:
    Usually the combat in this game is like THE LAST 0F US 2, but worse, because of the camera & its heavy controls.
    Blocking during melee is pointless in it, since u always take damage when doing so, even with all defense upgrades purchased, while dodging causes u to take no damage at all & is extremely easy to exploit ragardles of the level of difficulty, which means buying defense upgrades is simply a waste of credits; like in TL0U 2 u can't dodge grab attacks, but u can't block them either, so blocking is still pointless in comparison with the dodging. However, it's kinda hilarious that the guy always moves like a snail, due to how slow he's & the fact that even he lacks an sprint animation, but then, when dodging— suddenly he's like a boxer with SUPER agile reflexes, armed with an electified cricket bat!

    This game has a bug which 1 shot enemies when u use the GRAVlTY GL0VE & u drop them over objects in the level, such as tables, blocks of concrete, cars, boxes & so on. This obviously makes the GRAVlTY GL0VE fvcking over-powered & very easy to exploit, regardless the difficulty in which u're playing it! The only exception is that u can't use it directly on its B0SSES, but this obviously also means that u can use it indirectly against its B0SSES anyway.

    During its combat tutorial section, the main protagonist with his bare hands 'll gonna grabb a metallic tool, which was recently nailed into a fuse box. Now, ¿how the hell he'll not gonna be electrocuted to death— while doing so—? is beyond me.

    Basically from the beginning its devs already establish a rule of this world/universe redarging an item that l'll simply call MEDl-GEL, which revives the main protagonist of a condition which is literally called CLlNlCALLY DEAD, after they insert a device into his nape; ¿0k? Well then— ¿¿why later, along the way from a certain point A to point B, u can't use a spare MEDl-GEL (if still u've a spare one in ur inventory) to save the life of another survivor who is about to die, when this one even has the same device on his nape?? This is the 1st title that the devs released after becoming independent from EA, but even so they're already presenting us with W0RLD BREAKlNG RULES narratively speaking, regarding this lP; & they obviously 've plans to make a sequel to this title; so get ready for a very sh¡tty ride with it!

    Regarding its W0RLD BUlLDlNG, well, u have a prison in it in which there's every 2 out of 3 of its respective parts— some— walls with deadly spikes or giant meat grinders. So, yup, ¡is nonsensical AF regarding W0RLD BUlLDlNG!

    Also, BLACK WESKER strikes again in it with his “C0MPLETE GL0BAL SATURATI0N!” So, yup, the main villain of this game is cartoonishly evil.

    EXCELLENT ST0RY TELLING! lt'll really hook u up!! ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    lt has a grand total of 2 B0SSES:
    (B0SS 1) ls a C0NJ0lNED TYRANT, which is more B0RlNG than RE 2's TYRANT, & the same even relies on enemy waves.
    (B0SS 2) ls WlLLlAM BlRKlN "G3", & surprise, surprise; ¡HE ALS0 RELlES 0N ENEMY WAVES! & it ain't just of the normal enemy type, nope, no sir; ¡but the literally explosive enemy type!!    … Expand

    Лучший космисческий хоррор года! Это хардкорная, до жути мурашек топовый проект. Очень понравилось анимаци, графика и кастсцены. Невероятно сложно убивать монстров. Начальные локации были очень страшные! остальные так себе. Конец не очень понравилось, думал будет счастливее. Но хвалить могу за графику, на такие детали я смторел часами за всю игру, это полная эйфория глаз. Минусы: играЛучший космисческий хоррор года! Это хардкорная, до жути мурашек топовый проект. Очень понравилось анимаци, графика и кастсцены. Невероятно сложно убивать монстров. Начальные локации были очень страшные! остальные так себе. Конец не очень понравилось, думал будет счастливее. Но хвалить могу за графику, на такие детали я смторел часами за всю игру, это полная эйфория глаз. Минусы: игра жрет видяху просто изумительно! Ну и процесс игры немного короткая. The different sets in the game are beautiful and full of detail, i was never bored and always invested in the environments...That was an amazing job.
    i thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and could start new game+ right away,- sadly this has not been integrated in the game, and something like secret weapons or features in the second playthrough are a missed opportunity.
    I think the game is a very strong 7/10 and could easily have scored an 8, but you feel the rush to get the game out before Dead Space Remake.
    Even after the performance patch, game struggles in the colony later in the game, to the point that i was forced to restart a couple of times, more enemy variety would have been welcome, but it is a short game, so i can live with that, but ending the game on a cliffhanger to the dlc seem like bad form. had i not bought the deluxe edition, i guess i´d be a little pissed now.
    So i loved the game, despite its flaws and will definitely play again and i´m looking forward to the dlc.

    I went into this game blind aside from some reviews complaining of performance so I tested the in game benchmark and kept all setting high except turned shadows to medium for a 35 fps saving for what looked like no noticeable improvement. I played on a rx 6750 xt at 1080p with no RT as I prefer the better performance usually getting 90-110fps with 70fps low. I started my playthrough on the 12/15 update and had a great experience with no stutters! It took me 9h30m to finish the game on medium security as I took my time doing all the side areas. I was impressed at every turn between the insane graphics to the unnerving sound design. I don't really play any horror games but had no issue getting through the game. I enjoyed the story and because I'm a loot goblin I heard every side recording which helped my understanding while also getting every weapon. I feel I wasn't using one weapon to death as I had plenty of ammo the whole journey and at the end a total of 7 weapons upgraded thoroughly to cycle through. My only complaint would be the variety and number of bosses and non human looking (two arms, two legs) enemies and maybe some more meaningful scares.… Expand

И за это я игру не могу не похвалилить, это выглядит как эволюция идей Дид Спейса в другой плоскости, это лучше чем тупой рескин старой игры, да и работает это не так уж и долго, не превращается в "душниловку", где-то к середине игры у вас уже появляется достаточное количество патрон и про острожность уже немного забывается, скримеры начинают повторяться, обязательных стелс-секций уже не наблюдается. Но поэтому это одновременно и минус, так как идей не хватает на полноценную игру.
    Смотрите, тут есть неплохая уникальная система боёвки, вы должны удерживать кнопку влево или вправо, стоя перед противником, чтобы ваш персонаж автоматически увернулся от врага, при этом вы можете дубасить его дубинкой/стрелять/кинуть самого врага или предмет телекинезом, и эти вещи можно комбинировать. Но ближний бой слишком однокнопочный и есть существенная недоработка, если зомбак подошёл очень близко к вам, то камера лочится на противнике, и, если вы не зачистили арену от других, то вас смогут бить с других сторон, а вы не сможете убежать, пока не разберётесь с основным залоченным противником. Ну и под конец игры появляются боссы, которые уж слишком просты в плане геймдизайна, просто ходишь от них вокруг какой-нибудь преграды, стреляешь, когда босс падает - бьёшь, стреляешь, когда падает - бьёшь, и почти тоже самое с финальным, неплохо, но примитивно, и, в конце может выбесить, так как напоминаю - персонаж не очень поворотливый, а босс завалит с 1 удара.
    В остальном же геймплей работает и достаточно приятно играется на протяжении всех 10-15 часов игры, хоть и не претендует на какие-то "высоты", вы можете проползти некоторых противников, вы можете выкинуть телекинезом противника за борт или кинуть его на шипы, заряд перчатки, конечно же, не бесконечный, теперь он тратится даже на обычное притягивание или удержание врага, при окончании энергии вам придётся зачищать арену пистолетом или ближним боем, но если вы не успеете достаточно быстро убить врага, он может мутировать, и увеличить своё хп на 300%, даже один успевший "мутировать" противник станет для вас хорошей проблемой.     Well, for now i got to give it a zero since for me it's unplayable with all those frames crashes...
    I even tried to set it to 1080p minimum and locking into 30fps, but still, even with a better PC than the recommended specs i couldn't deal with those framedrops.

Obrovské mínus je optimalizace na PC, splňuji hardware požadavky více jak dost a přesto mi to padalo na 30 fps hlavně při soubojích, pohrál jsem si s nastavením grafiky a měl jsem mezi 60 a 40 fps což bylo pro mě dostačující, s raytracingem je to zatím nehratelné. Tohle bylo mé shrnutí, problémy na PC vývojáři dozajista do tří měsíců opraví, obrovské plus je aspoň fakt, že za celou dobu jsem měl pouze na bugy, takže jedinou vadou je optimalizace. TÉTO HŘE DÁVÁM 8.5/10 a už se těším na remake Dead space.… Expand

    The Callisto Protocol has faced criticism claiming it is a "Dead Space clone". Well, after playing it, I wish it was. Truth is, this is some of the worst combat I've ever seen in a modern game. Not to mention, the game feels uninspired, isn't scary in the least, and is full of Uncharted-esque moments that are incredibly dated. The game sucks.

    Especially crawling ones that came out of nowhere in a dark room and mess even more with yor camera.

    • Replayability – Not currently much reason to replay it, no new game plus, and its easy to collect everything on the first playthrough.

    All in all, I had a great time and am looking forward to the DLC to continue/expand the story.

There are quite a few similarities between the two but instead of going through those. The Callisto Protocol stands on it's own two feet in it's rightful place as a great Action Horror. It was originally placed under the survival horror genre but I think, as of late, we've all gotten a little too loose with that term. This game is not a survival horror. Yes, you must try to survive the utterly brutal and bloody combat and it is a horror and horrific experience, with inventory management. But you aren't scavenging for ammo, nor do you ever feel like you can't take on what's coming around the corner. Instead, you're given a fantastic dodge mechanic or a block mechanic (although has chip damage) and plenty of ammo and health pickups along the way. You also have a 'telekinesis' ability that allows you to grab enemies and freeze them in place while gripping them towards you; setting you up for a melee combo to end with a shotgun blast or allowing you to hurtle them towards the many conveniently placed traps, where there are far too many. So with all the tools, abilities and plentiful pickups at your disposal, you never truly feel like you might not be able to handle your next encounter, even on the maximum security difficulty, which is the one I played on, and the only difficulty I believe you should play this game on. It's too easy to ever make you feel scared and so I can't imagine what a cake walk it must be on the lower difficulties. Although, I'd bet, it's still a heck of a lot of fun! But with that said, instead of categorizing it as a survival horror, I think we should be calling it an action horror and allowing for players to understand that it's a bit different, despite sharing many of the same elements of a survival horror.
    I played on a 3080 Ryzen 9 with ultra graphics set and it was as unbelievably gorgeous to look at, as it was gruesome and disgusting. Puss filled balloons made from the rotting corpses of your fellow peers, paint the floors and walls. Hideous monstrosities fill the corridors hoping not to eat you but to pass along the very virus that made them the way they are. It's your job to figure out what happened and hopefully make it out alive. The story for the first 3/4ths the game is very mild. An infection is loose and making it's way from person to person morphing them into abominations and like the growth of plant life, it's rapidly taking over everything that is known as Black Iron Prison. It isn't really until the final few chapters where the story really picks up and takes off, it's incredibly interesting the whole way through. But I really enjoyed where they went with it. It isn't anything we haven't heard before, but it's similar to, well, almost a resident evil in Space. I loved it, I don't think it's as good as Dead Space, but for what they did; I found myself being enthralled with it all, I had to see where the story took me. It's very clearly designed to be a new series and I just simply can not wait for the next stage in the story that they are telling. They are currently working on patches, but the first few days there were noticeable frame hiccups and drops, especially when it was during a time that would cause you to get hit. It didn't happen often for me and was never bad enough where it ruined the experience but it was noticeable and unfortunately did take you out of the immersion. They've made a couple patches and it's already gotten significantly better and I know they'll continue to work on more. But besides that small negative detail, I found myself falling in love with this game! Everything from the combat, to the acting! To the music and graphics, it was all so top notch and so well done. There's a lot of hate for this game right now and I can understand some of the criticisms. But the hate? I'll be honest, I don't see it and I don't get it. This isn't as good as Dead Space, but space is massive and there's plenty of room for other stories like this to be told and experienced. I truly think you're missing out if you don't see this one to the finish! I love it and I am eagerly awaiting any future content!    … Expand

    My only problem with it is the lack of optimization, which i'm going to clarify that they are working hard to fix all the problems.     I think game developers should have second thoughts when applying Denuvo DRM on CPU bound games. An overhead protected game exe file over half gigabytes is ridiculous for any game today. If not convinced, compare it with the PS5 version of the game which runs smoothly and has an executable (exe) file much much smaller.

    Denuvo DRM is to be blamed for ruining the performance of the PC version of this game and a bad developer's decision similar to the case also of the PC version of Deathloop game back at 2021.

    Also, it is a steam game, but good luck trying to run it on a steam deck. It is not optimized at all and anyway always requires internet connection because they are so afraid someone will pirate their precious pile of severely underdeveloped product.

    Even if all technical issues are fixed, it is unfortunately also not the most fun game to play. The game promotes mele combat by limiting ammo even on the lowest difficulty. Думаю особо можно не распинаться и не рассказывать, как сильно люди ждали эту игру, в особенности фанаты, да и просто игроки, которым в своё время понравилась трилогия Dead Space. В особенности от человека который делал 1ю и 2ю часть космоса, от человека, который всё время после того как ушёл из ЕА распинался о том, какие ЕА плохие, как ЕА душили Visceral Games, что ЕА относилась к Скифилду как к дерьму (это его слова, сказанные в каком то там интервью) и т.д…
    Притом что ЕА, далеко не самая любимая студия у игроков, с весьма убогой репутацией. Не стоит говорить, что протокол быстро получил статус народной игры. Все думали вот, наконец-то, народный разработчик, нашёл бабки на игру, вернул часть старой гвардии, которая делала трилогию космоса, вот это будет ААА игра для народа, в духе Dead Space, но во всём лучше своего идейного оригинала.
    Получилось ли? Ну, если у вас мозг как у рыбки и от игры вы ждёте только проёбаного на неё времени, то да, безусловно, это успех.
    Для тех же, кто хочет получить от игры нечто больше, чем проёбаное на неё время, вы не по адресу!

    This game makes you feel a certain kind of way and it's incredible at it.
    Don't sleep on this one just because journalists ran a coordinated smear campaign. They did so they could shill for the big 3 and further degenerate gaming into nothing but factory filth. Guess they have to make sure real games don't get made anymore.

    The biggest complaint I keep hearing is that you lock on to the enemy that's attacking you, so it doesn't work for multiple enemies or... something. I gotta tell you that this game gives you all the tools you need. If a second character gets too close, you will still dodge it because it instantly locks to the enemy attacking. What you need to do is use the telekinesis glove to throw extra enemies out of the way if you get overwhelmed. SIMPLE AS THAT. Just pay attention to the environment and use everything you can to dominate enemies, that's what hazards and explosion tanks are there for. Just use them. Figuring out how to not get overwhelmed and managing enemies is THE WHOLE POINT, while being as ruthless and efficient as possible. This game is basically perfect at everything it attempts. I can't believe all this bad press it's getting from people who PLAY VIDEO GAMES FOR A LIVING, so you would think they wouldn't suck.

    Another thing is "it's just linear OMG I can't endlessly explore idiot areas aimlessly wahhh" Go play Ubisoft you morons. Get some micro trans checklists you're such a glutton for. Because that's exactly what you'll get when you only give excellent scores to cookie cutter games. You get what you deserve you fools. This game is a series of expertly crafted and paced GAUNTLETS, it always is throwing a new challenge at you each and every time and highlights the actual depth and game design prowess on clear display.

    Oh and too many vents... Well would you prefer broke asses with old systems and hardware couldn't play it? You need that to hide loading screens, besides this is how the previous games were and part of the DNA. They paced it out extremely well and I'd argue you wouldn't get near the same "Dead Space feeling" without them. It's all about vibe. What's funny is that this is a cross platform game and STILL has the best graphics I've ever seen in a game. Try and tell me it doesn't look like a literal movie from start to finish!

The game is not hard, but it's very frustrating because it doesn't feel fair at all (and I finished all of the Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, The Surge, Jedi Fallen Knight etc.).
    Even so the game would be at least enjoyable for someone who likes action videogames ('cause this game is not very scary) if it wasn't for the poor performances.
    Technically the game is quite better now than when it launched, but still it randomly crashes, stutters and has a lot of slowdowns. The thing it does best is it turns your Nvidia RTX into a Radeon GPU, so that when you turn ray tracing on it just becomes unplayable, going form 80fps to 30fps and constantly dropping frames, even on a 3080 12gb, 32 bg of ddr5 RAM and a 12600k. It is just ridiculous.

Honestly, I never thought that running the game on one of the newest video cards, I would not be able to play normally, without lags.     Game has some issue at launch but after the second day patch works great, the game is not perfect but i think people was expecting way too much, i really enjoy playing it especially the soundtrack and the visual are amazing.
    The down probably are the boss battle a little underwelmin and is not that scary if you compare it to the progenitor, other then that i liked a lot the game!!!

    I had a blast with the game and enjoyed the story. If you like Sci fi horror games like system shock 1 2 and dead space, you will find enjoyment in the calisto protocol.

    I played the game from beginning to end on my laptop with no issues as well.

    Feels like an indie group got a massive investment from an angel and they decided to pay some AAA company that is really good in the industry to do all the graphics while they took care of the coding. In the end they were new and we got this as a result.

    Know what is the worse in all of this? This turd has a battle pass! A freaking game like this will have MTX that nobody asked for. Freaking disgusting.

    Graphics - 4/5 (nothing special but not bad either)
    Audio - 2/5 (nothing special and even feels boring at times; it even feels empty at times)
    Gameplay - 1/5 (dated, nothing new was added that makes it stand in the middle of the other Dead Space games)

    If you bought it, refund it while you've time. Maybe one day it will be good. But at the moment it's a turd in HD full of nut pieces.    … Expand

    The checkpoint and save systems are far from great. They spend no time getting me to care about Jacob (the protagonist) in the first chapter which would greatly elevate my engagement in the story. It does pick up shortly after you get to "SHU". Art team did an amazing job.

    The "9/2 Patch Update" that was supposed to adress the shader compilation stutter has only fixed a very small portion of the shader compilation issues. The game pauses for 0,5s when a brand new thing is first introduced. It doesnt happen on subsequent playthroughs which means its shaders compiling. It seems like the patch has only fixed the some of the shader compilation stutter, mostly just cutscene ones, but close to none of the gameplay ones.

    They sneaked in denuvo after the game was already available for pre-order. The system requirements are incorrect because Its unplayable on my rtx 3080 and 12600k which meets them according to their chart even with fsr (PS5 which is way weaker can run it with close to no stutter, there is no excuse for pc version to stutter on a more powerful hardware). The only way to play this game is to let someone else suffer and do a 100% walkthrough on your pc in order to compile all the shaders and then playing it yourself.

    What a shame because i seriously like the rest of the game, even the combat which is fairly simple.

    I will change the review score to positive, but only if they fix the stuttering issues.    … Expand

The game itself is fantastic and a solid spiritual successor to Dead Space. I have a high-end gaming PC and experienced no issues whatsoever from start to finish twice (second playthrough to finish it on Maximum SecuritySeems like a lot of people with potato PCs are hating on this game.     This game should be called stuttering protocol and the only real horror is the performance on pc. The pc optimization is terrible, the audio is out of sync and broken and to make matters worse they also put in that Denuvo cancer. Asked for a refund and never again will I try to pick up a game with Denuvo.

    Great game, great story. A very well done atmosphere. Beautiful graphics, visual effects and music. Effective fights. A minimum of friezes on the ssd that the developers have already fixed. I see no reason to underestimate this product the fact that AAA games of this quality are very rarely released lately.

Yo ni siquiera con el parche que liberaron he podido jugarlo a más de 30 fps teniendo una jodida 3070. Este juego provoca que el mal humor se libere no por su dificultad (que no la tiene) sino por su esperpéntica optimización. Vayamos a lo segundo, la jugabilidad; tan repetitiva como un juego hecho a la mitad. Su historia es un hueco de personajes rotos y sosos. El personaje principal no converge ninguna vez con el usuario, no hay impacto en ninguna escena, parece hasta gracioso ver como reacciona a lo terrorífico que sucede en su alrededor. No hablemos de los personajes secundarios, un desastre tras otro, mueren sin ningún fundamente, son vacíos como el personaje principal, y no suplantan ese vacío constante en la historia. La historia que gira entorno el personaje es más de lo mismo, aburrida, sin sentido y su corta duración lo hace aun más peor. Lo único rescatable sería sus escenarios y su ambientación que peca demasiado en querer reflejar el Dead space. No recomiendo consumir este producto, a menos que lo hayan rebajado o en una oferta. Suerte a todos y espero que mi mal pasar sea de ayuda para quien busque alguna conjetura de lo que es este juego.… Expand

    The Callisto Protocol feels like a retread of the PS3 era of survival horror, but perhaps in the worst way possible. It’s clear that this title was made with Dead Space in mind, as it shared the same creator, but it’s also a look at how the genre has evolved since Dead Space was relevant. And while The Callisto Protocol’s narrative is lackluster, the gameplay could have been something great and ultimately redeeming about it. Instead, it feels trapped in the past and a worse iteration of what inspired it.

    I desperately wanted The Callisto Protocol to be a success so that we can have another Dead Space-like franchise to look forward to, but as it stands, I can’t recommend this game, especially until its issues are fixed in a future patch. I do hope that if there’s a sequel, developers will come up with something fresh to make us forget about the first game.
