    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is beatiful. With it's variety of guns, accessories, mobs, bosses, biomes... It has different type of classes and every class has it's own weapon and accessories. I played this game for like 400 hours and I am still not bored but the game is not very player friendly because it does not have a tutorial. So you gotta watch videos to understand the game and another thing is items that drop from Moonlord or After-Moonlord craftable items does not make sense because Moonlord is the last boss. So what am I supposed to do with these items if there is no boss stronger than Moonlord?… Expand

    Terraria is better than Minecraft.

    (Game) - Terraria in my opinion is one of the best indie games we currently have in the industry made by just a small team, who fully deserve the support of the fans. Despite the style that some may find negative, believe me, give this game a chance, it deserves it. 1.14 would be the last update as they continued to add new content and improvements.    Terraria is better than Minecraft.

    Despite the style that some may find negative, believe me, give this game a chance, it deserves it.

    A few days ago I finished terraria completely, and I thought that some things still need to be filled in, what if it was possible to invade other players' worlds? Yes, this reminds us of some franchise that we have in the industry, but it wasn't bad at all, in fact it even added something to the pvp mode of the game, of course the combat in that aspect could change, but it would be fun.

    If I could, I would give Terraria 11/10. One of my favorite games of all time, while I have only 200h in the game I know a guy who spent 4000h just playing Terraria. It's replayability is great, a a million different mods, shoutout to Calamity, Starlight River and Thorium. Soon there will be the 5th update after the "last update ever", so the developers didn't just leave the game.

    this is the best game i have ever played. it starts off slow but gets amazing after eye and even better after wof. if you are having trouble figuring out what to do you can just look on the wiki for help

    A lot of different mods make of terraria a super fun game. My recommendation is to try calamity and thorium.

    Has the greatest progression out of all survival/RPG games out there. The only problem with Terraria is that after you defeat the final boss there is no more progression.

    With over 100+ hours and counting on Steam this game made it to my favorite game. I may have not beaten every boss or explored every biome but jesus christ this is amazing.

    It is now 2023 and this game still retains the same charm as when the game was released in 2011. Truly an immortal monument of the gaming world. One of the best sandbox and adventure games I have ever played, it will definitely live on in my heart as well as in the hearts of other players and it will certainly continue to attract more players in the future.

    This is SUCH a fun game despite the frequent frustration on occasions (dying, farming for crafting materials, etc.) but there's no better feeling than to finally defeat the boss and get access to that sweet sweet game progression that allows you to create even more kick-ass weapons. It has more than 80 hours of content(people usually take at least 80 to defeat the final boss), with insane replayability value due to it being a sandbox-adventure game with barely any rules. In classic mode, this game is very easy(TOO easy), so if you've played other relatively hard 2D games before(like Hollow Knight) I recommend you to first play on ExpertTerraria is a masterpiece.     Incredible game, first playthrough of Vanilla Terraria is an incredible experience, while the gameplay and what to do is confusing at first it becomes straightforward really quickly.

    One of the best games I have ever played! I love everything that has to offer: the music, the graphics, the gameplay are perfect, and it blends perfectly with its style. I recommend this game with no doubt, but I suggest you play it with friends for the most fun possible.

    Terraria is just a perfect game. It makes a lot of fun. You can build houses, fight monsters and bosses, and events like the solar eclipse add even more variety. There is also a multiplayer!

    Fantastic game, especially if you play it with a couple of friends like I did at the time. It is just a really chill experience. It might have been a 10 if I had spent a bit more time with it, and maybe a little bit less time solo where I am simply building stuff. I think otherwise this game is even better than Minecraft imo.

    One of the greatest 2D This game has had my interest for some time. This game is incredible. It takes the building and mining of Minecraft and puts it together with the equipment, combat, looting, and dungeon crawling of a sidescrolling action RPG. The progression system going from defeating the simple King Slime with very little health to the Moon Lord with about 100,000- it’s nearly perfect. While there are some moments that are stale- they are complimented by very wonderful boss fights, which are incredibly satisfying. If you got bored of this game, try it again. It is wonderful in and difficulty.… Expand

    The only game I could ever call a 10/10. Beautifully designed with something for everyone. Great sandbox elements, the exploration is fun, and the bosses are both engaging and difficult. The addition of Journey Mode in 1.4 removed my only real gripe with the game, and I can say with certainty this is the best video game ever made.

    This game is pretty fun and im always finding new things about the gme and the mods are really fun to play and there is a very good variety of ways you can play modded or unmodded terraria which always makes it fresh in my eyes the only reason its not a 10/10 is because the bosses seem to be weird when it comes to difficulty

    Terraria is a masterpiece, from it's rich sense of progression, adventure based gameplay and majestic soundscape. Even though it's supposed final update was released 2 years ago, it didn't stop Re-Logic from keeping it rolling with how popular the game was getting.

    Such a great game with so much to do and it's never dull. Only downside is that I have gotten anxiety from the corruption in the jungle spreading and now haven't touched the game in a year. Still, an amazing game! If you haven't played it, you should get it, because it's only 10 dollars.

    a good game that I dare say is more fun than Minecraft, more content, more hours of gameplay and so on. And people who say it is a copy of Minecraft or that it is Minecraft in 2D makes no sense because it is a survival game and all **** games are the same. And the mod community makes the game look like Terraria 2, putting in a gigantic amount of weapons, armor, bosses, npc and etc.

    Singlehandedly the best game of all time. Made in 2011, runs on anything, still holds up great today. The only reason I would not recommend this to someone is if they just don't enjoy the genre. With crossplay hopefully coming around the corner, you will be able to play with friends regardless of platform. Just an objective 10/10, worth every penny.

    Incredible game.
    The replayability of this game is absolutely astounding. I have dumped more than a thousand hours and I still find myself coming back to it time and time again. The music, the atmosphere and the bosses is fine tuned to perfection. Only bad part is the end game and potentially the very start of your journey when you are very weak.

    sandbox game, platformer, survival, boss fighty game this game is so much and its only 5 bucks for a steam key hundreds of hours and i cant describe all the memories i made with my freinds on this game countless worlds awesome builds memorable and iconic boss fights if you have 5 bucks spend it on terraria i can gurantee you will not regret it 9/10.

    Amazing game.So much content,like bosses,weapons,bioms or mobs.Music is awesome,and price is really good.I only got two prohlems:Sometimes,there is too much grind,and bunch od items are usless.

    After playing it for 539 hours, I can come to the conclusion that Terraria is my favorite survival sandbox game. I love Mincraft, Astroneer, and Raft, but nothing can get close to the Terraria games. there's so much replay ability in this game, not every world has every biome, there are SO many different play styles and ways to progress, not to mention the amazing potential for speedAfter playing it for 539 hours, I can come to the conclusion that Terraria is my favorite survival sandbox game.     Terraria is a love letter for its fans and gaming in general. Terraria is the first game I've ever bought on Steam, when I was 12 years old, back in 2012, watching some YouTuber talk about it. I've introduced this game to all of my friends, it was the first game I completed with my brother and the first game I played with my wife.
    The game is basically pure gameplay, but, wow, what    Terraria is a love letter for its fans and gaming in general.     The game is basically pure gameplay, but, wow, what gameplay! The soul of this game is character progression, and the whole world progressing with you.
    First, you start with the weakest tools and weapons, very weak and without almost any magical aptitude. You are very vulnerable to all enemies and the game is very scary at that point. But quickly you start finding better equipment, you start to increase your health, and you start to become a very powerful being, that has shaped the whole world for its purpose.
    The game is very thrilling, you fight many bosses, each with completely different AIs and strategies to defeat.
    I will forever love Terraia, and I hope the team behind gets all the praise they deserve from the gaming community.    … Expand

    The best 2D game I will ever play. The game is much more than just 2d Minecraft, actually I prefer Terraria over Minecraft. The game is endless with it's weapons and accessories. You can play the game however you want. The pixel art is good and the soundtrack is amazing! Combat is mostly dodging and shooting but that's not bad at all.

    My personal favorite video game of all time, especially with mods such as calamity. It's actually a little scary how fun it is, it cuts right into that "your succeeding" part of your brain with it's top of the line progression system, and with it's different classes to try it makes for unlimited replayability.

    Great controls, top tier music and really good ideas that blend together for an amazing experience. While it has problems, like when you need to get the hard-mode ores and the grind of a lot of the items can suck my nuts, even though I’m in english class i can say that this is my favorite game of all time.

Normally games that devote themselves to this many mechanics turn out sacrificing some elements of one mechanic in favorSometimes I believe that Terraria is the closest we will ever come to a perfect video game.     Really fun game. We got to the Ginger Island part but at that point the cancer cycle of spending 5 minutes of the island and being forced to go back to bed or pass out bored the hell out of me but before that everything was really fun.

    This is sure the best game you can buy for $10 (or equivalent for your country/region). Been playing the game since the march of 2012 year, still a huge fan of this game. In my opinion, Terraria is one of the best indie games ever released.

I have over 400 hours in the game and I still haven't played all the secret worlds and used all the items. This might be a controversial opinion but I think terraria is a bit better than minecraft.     Very fun and has endless amounts of replayability. If you get bored, good news! The devs released an official mod launcher, so you don't have to risk computer viruses and convoluted setup. Just click to install the mods you want and play! The game and launcher are even still receiving regular updates, unlike some games. *cough* TF2 *cough*

    Definitely in my top 10 favorite games. The ultimate 2D sandbox. There just isn't a reason not to try this. From its well designed progression, to its creative and fun weapons, to its brilliant music and boss design, to its refined building and crafting systems, this game succeeds in every area a 2D sandbox should. The unbelievable amount of free updates this game has gotten (and is stillDefinitely in my top 10 favorite games. The ultimate 2D sandbox. There just isn't a reason not to try this. From its well designed progression, to its creative and fun weapons, to its brilliant music and boss design, to its refined building and crafting systems, this game succeeds in every area a 2D sandbox should. The unbelievable amount of free updates this game has gotten (and is still getting!) is evidence enough to show just how much of a labor of love and passion Terraria is, and it's in depth modding scene that is integrated into the game itself only adds to this. This game is just barely not a 10/10 imo, due to its lack of an integrated guide. You will have to use a wiki to get to the end of the game, there is no way around it, but due to the way it's designed I don't have a big issue with that.… Expand

    Terraria is one of the best sandbox games. Terraria has some Minecraft spirit, however the focus of the game is on fighting and crafting, so it involves more action. The best way to enjoy Terraria is to play it with a couple of friends on your own server.

    It's a title that will appeal to the adventurer, the explorer and the builder; not to mention those who appreciate a substantial amount of player freedom. If you happen to be all of those things, Terraria is a lightly tarnished treasure.

    A lot of games tried to copy Minecraft – or at least participate from its' success. But this two-dimensional take on the well known formula is the only game that is able to step out of the shadow of the indie phenomenon that inspired it. It leads you into a unique world full of creative magic.
