Control is simple though, and Id have to say this might be a worthy diversion for a young gamer or perhaps a casual gamer, but a veteran gamer should seek elsewhere for that delicious, in-depth RTS fixin.
-
PC GamerIf you can get past the painfully unfunny "humor," S.W.I.N.E. offers some solid fun for action-RTS fans. [Mar 2002, p.68]
-
S.W.I.N.E.'s visuals and parts of its audio are surprisingly good. On the other hand, the game has been promoted as "irreverent" and "hilarious," yet it's neither. The whole pig/rabbit schtik is weak and irrelevant, not irreverent.
-
While there's certainly a level of class and charm to go along with the laughs and lightheartedness in this war game, there's also more than a little helping of frustration.
-
A funny but repetitive (and eventually tedious) real-time strategy game.
-
Not only is the game easy and uninventive, but it also has few units, a poor AI, and happens to be one of the least stable games I played in a long time.
-
Underneath the innovative touches and solid graphics lies a fundamentally unoriginal RTS with crap AI, boring missions and comedic value on par with Norman Tebbit in a clown costume.
