Mar 11, 2021Outdated game in most aspects. A disappointment.
Optimization at launch is not good at all too.
Stronghold Crusader HD is a much better game even right now. And Stronghold: Warlords is a very bad copy of it with nothing really new, except for setting and improved UI. And controversial Warlords mechanics is bad at least. -

Mar 29, 2021Im not a fan of rts games because they all just boil down to who has more units, but the Stronghold franchise is probably the best of the genre.
This game is exactly the same as the old ones with just different ethnics and now you can rotate the camera, a good game but doesnt do anything new and imo isnt as charming as Crusader. -
Aug 5, 2023Может только мне так показалась но в игре нету полноценных миссий с стройкой как было в предыдущих игр. Тут карты маленькие.
По сравнение с предыдущими частями (которые я очень обожаю) это игра на 5. -
May 9, 2023The game has great story line which keeps me interested all the way through - 7/10

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021I liked the economic campaign but the historical one is not as good. The AI is awful, the redesigned popularity system promotes building the same structures over and over, the missions are not varied enough, and the game lacks atmosphere, because the whole oriental setting is pretty much just a skin for the original Stronghold. All in all, it’s an enjoyable game but there’s a lot of room for improvement. [05/2021, p.32]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 12, 2021This is yet another completely useless title from the Stronghold series, which actually does not bring anything interesting and simplifies the old proven principles even more. What lies behind the reasons for the release of such a game is a mystery to me, when, apart from the well-known brand, the game offers practically nothing and everything is incredibly sold out and rushed with a hot needle. Mar 31, 2021Stronghold: Warlords is an odd game. On the one hand, it’s a wonderful setting, and it has some of the most satisfying castle building I’ve found in a game. It’s a genuine joy to plan everything out, and it makes the fact that the actual strategy side of the game feels a bit outdated sting a bit more. It’s not bad, not at all, but it feels like a game that’s stuck in the past a little bit.
