Mar 10, 2021A very bad game in itself. Just awful as a sequel to the legendary Stronghold. Lack of optimization, atmosphere, disgustingly inconvenient interface, completely stupid AI. I do not even recommend it for acquaintance, so as not to get upset.

Mar 11, 2021the stronghold series continues it's downfall with "warlords" I'm playing it and I don't like it, every stronghold game after stronghold 3 was a failure including warlords which is the worst one yet, it's graphics are bad and and it has a weird red tint, the same old mechanics remain, it's story isn't interesting and the gameplay is boring while the older games were enjoyable this one sucks

Jun 4, 2021they are just trying to sell you old game in a new skin - nothing, pretty nothing changed much. when they say "classic" - it means "we have done nothing to improve". when they say "descent" it means "we can't call it "good". lost 95% of players since launch.

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021I liked the economic campaign but the historical one is not as good. The AI is awful, the redesigned popularity system promotes building the same structures over and over, the missions are not varied enough, and the game lacks atmosphere, because the whole oriental setting is pretty much just a skin for the original Stronghold. All in all, it’s an enjoyable game but there’s a lot of room for improvement. [05/2021, p.32]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 12, 2021This is yet another completely useless title from the Stronghold series, which actually does not bring anything interesting and simplifies the old proven principles even more. What lies behind the reasons for the release of such a game is a mystery to me, when, apart from the well-known brand, the game offers practically nothing and everything is incredibly sold out and rushed with a hot needle. Mar 31, 2021Stronghold: Warlords is an odd game. On the one hand, it’s a wonderful setting, and it has some of the most satisfying castle building I’ve found in a game. It’s a genuine joy to plan everything out, and it makes the fact that the actual strategy side of the game feels a bit outdated sting a bit more. It’s not bad, not at all, but it feels like a game that’s stuck in the past a little bit.
