    Stronghold Warlords it's a sequel to the original game. Uses eastern historical facts as lore. It's not a bad game but isn't a remarkable one. It's only for RTS fans.

    ---> Positive points: . Retain some mechanics that made stronghold 1 so good. . Fixed some graphics and mechanics issues from predecessors ---> Negative points: . Not remarkable in any way. Mechanics are the same

    ---> Positive points:

    . Retain some mechanics that made stronghold 1 so good.
    . Fixed some graphics and mechanics issues from predecessors

    ---> Negative points:

    . Not remarkable in any way. Mechanics are the same from 2001, lore is generic.

    . Graphics aren't bad. but for example: Warcraft 3 is 20 years older and has better graphics.

    . Bugs. The game crashes at random or if you save a lot in a short period of time.

    Big comeback of the series. Many uprgaded mechanics. Cool new devices and troops. Decent dyplomacy system. Units finally don't penetrate each other what makes clashes more realistic and tactical.

    A very solid game, A solid new entry to the Stronghold series, definitely the best 3D one.
    no errors the game is fun and satisfying, I recommend.

    Could be better I’d rather to keep the concept of war between Christians and Muslims

    A very bad game in itself. Just awful as a sequel to the legendary Stronghold. Lack of optimization, atmosphere, disgustingly inconvenient interface, completely stupid AI. I do not even recommend it for acquaintance, so as not to get upset.

    the stronghold series continues it's downfall with "warlords" I'm playing it and I don't like it, every stronghold game after stronghold 3 was a failure including warlords which is the worst one yet, it's graphics are bad and and it has a weird red tint, the same old mechanics remain, it's story isn't interesting and the gameplay is boring while the older games were enjoyable this one sucks

    Outdated game in most aspects. A disappointment.
    Optimization at launch is not good at all too.
    Stronghold Crusader HD is a much better game even right now. And Stronghold: Warlords is a very bad copy of it with nothing really new, except for setting and improved UI. And controversial Warlords mechanics is bad at least.

    Thoroughly mediocre or just bad in all aspects. I can't even think of something it does well now that I'm trying to... it's just THAT sort of game.

    I suppose you can say it's playable unlike some previous Stronghold games that seemingly never left the Alpha Phase of development, I guess? But at the same time it seems prone to crashing without even giving an error popup. It just vanishes

    I suppose you can say it's playable unlike some previous Stronghold games that seemingly never left the Alpha Phase of development, I guess? But at the same time it seems prone to crashing without even giving an error popup. It just vanishes from the screen. It also runs shockingly poorly for something that looks like it was unironically made in 2006.

    The new "Warlord" thing is also a gimmick and largely an inconsequential nothing outside of handicapping player resources or otherwise locking the Win-Trigger in singleplayer behind controlling all of the Warlords.

    Of which the singleplayer missions are also rife with literally non-functional AI that just gets waves of units spawned in at the map edge and cant even be bothered to maintain an economy or repair their crumbling destroyed castle. They just sit there as you wittle away at them and nonsensically spam armies that spawn in at the sides of the map at you. Sometimes so often in some missions that it's a test of patience and seeing if you can manage the amount of trash-tier meatshield spam you need and doing the actual objective.

    Literally a 5/10 game. Functional but barely. Almost feels like a Knock-Off Stronghold game.

    they are just trying to sell you old game in a new skin - nothing, pretty nothing changed much. when they say "classic" - it means "we have done nothing to improve". when they say "descent" it means "we can't call it "good". lost 95% of players since launch.

    Im not a fan of rts games because they all just boil down to who has more units, but the Stronghold franchise is probably the best of the genre.
    This game is exactly the same as the old ones with just different ethnics and now you can rotate the camera, a good game but doesnt do anything new and imo isnt as charming as Crusader.

    Может только мне так показалась но в игре нету полноценных миссий с стройкой как было в предыдущих игр. Тут карты маленькие.
    По сравнение с предыдущими частями (которые я очень обожаю) это игра на 5.

    I liked the economic campaign but the historical one is not as good. The AI is awful, the redesigned popularity system promotes building the same structures over and over, the missions are not varied enough, and the game lacks atmosphere, because the whole oriental setting is pretty much just a skin for the original Stronghold. All in all, it’s an enjoyable game but there’s a lot of room for improvement. [05/2021, p.32]

    This is yet another completely useless title from the Stronghold series, which actually does not bring anything interesting and simplifies the old proven principles even more. What lies behind the reasons for the release of such a game is a mystery to me, when, apart from the well-known brand, the game offers practically nothing and everything is incredibly sold out and rushed with a hot needle. Stronghold: Warlords is an odd game. On the one hand, it’s a wonderful setting, and it has some of the most satisfying castle building I’ve found in a game. It’s a genuine joy to plan everything out, and it makes the fact that the actual strategy side of the game feels a bit outdated sting a bit more. It’s not bad, not at all, but it feels like a game that’s stuck in the past a little bit.
