Excellent game. If you enjoy Fallout and other Bathesda games you will love it. It's by far my favorite game of all time.

The best game I've played in awhile! What I like the most if the freedom the game offers, you can play however it suits you most, crafting, exploring, building, taking your time to navigate or fast travel

Starfield is a masterpiece. I traded in my PlayStation 5 because I was tired of walking simulators, don't get me wrong I love a good walking sim and am not ashamed of it. Starfield just does what other games on my old platform don't, it gives you pure freedom of exploration.

Great classic Bethesda fun. Does not come without its downsides, which many people have already expressed. I did not have ridiculous expectations and if you don't either you are likely to enjoy the game.

Very good game has occasional slowdown but its not bad enough to say it is the faces could be better looking but I guess that's the Bethesda style exploration is great the game taken me awhile to understand and it kind of reminds me of Starwars KOTOR 2 overall a very awesome game I think it can grow on everyone that trys this out

The game is just good, nothing revolutionary. Yes, it has some new mechanics like flying into space, but the realization of space travel and space battles leaves much to be desired. Optimization as I think could be better, graphics sometimes gives beautiful landscapes, but not so much to squeeze out of the top graphics cards all the power. From the good except that more or less pleasant shooting and some quests are not bad, well and in the end the game is monumental, I think in the game you can spend a lot of time. Expand

I realy love how this game is made, but steel need to be polished and maybe add more content in the future, all this seems to be modders are working on (Bethesda effect)

It's very mid. I'll just the issues. Boring story, no land vehicles, so much loading, pointless base building.

Lots of good moments as well though.

Starfield is a great game, where people are focusing and emphasizing flaws just because it's a Microsoft game and first Xbox exclusive.

This is a good game but could have been much better with different imagination and management. As it is, this is a new gen version of Skyrim or Fallout. In fact it even comes across as less exciting than those games because by now we're familiar with the Skyrim/Fallout experience.

In my opinion they should have focused on aiming higher than Skyrim/Fallout 4 instead of trying to emulate

In my opinion they should have focused on aiming higher than Skyrim/Fallout 4 instead of trying to emulate those experiences exactly. The whole thing is a little too familiar and definitely a letdown when you consider the years and years of hype. If anything this game feels old fashioned in 2023.

If you're okay playing a new version of Skyrim or Fallout then this is exactly that! Definitely big and expansive just like those games were. You can put a lot of hours into Starfield if you don't get bored and bounce off first.

Don't buy a Series X just for this! If you already have GamePass then of course you've already downloaded it and played it for yourself.

My most recent game was Diablo IV and I really enjoyed it until endgame. I really had no desire to go back in to it because of lack of content. This game has everything to keep you entertained for hours. Here you can spend hours building your ship, hours crafting and arranging furniture in your home, hours mining resources and exploring planets, trading, transporting contraband, fighting on ships, stealing things, hiring companions, improving guns and spacesuits, cooking, helping random passersby, play your role and receive dissatisfaction or approval from others, complete quests in different ways. You can do literally anything!
I started the game late in the evening and it didn’t let me go until the morning, you really feel the atmosphere of space here, and the side quests are like small stories inside this world. After the first story quest, I came across some completely random additional quest and this line of quests told me the whole story of the conspiracy and took me 6-8 hours to complete it, and then it became more and more interesting to play. It was really fun, I don't understand why some people think the game is boring. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but it's a good, worthwhile game in the classic Bethesda style.
The game had every chance to become a hit and personally my favorite for many years, if not for one thing, the optimization here is truly terrible. The picture is nice and beautiful, but I would like to have 1080p 60 fps on my RTX 4060, and not ~30-45 :D I could only start playing comfortably at 60-80 frames with a DLSS mod. It’s very sad that the optimization was taken care of by enthusiasts and not by Bethesda.

Almost 2 days of playtime completed on PC & Xbox (cross save). I loved Fallout 3 and 4. However, Starfield is by far my most favorite Bethesda game. I’ve never played so much of a game and still felt pleasantly surprised that I’ve only scratched the surface. I can see myself playing Starfield for months, if not years. If you meet the game halfway, you’ll have an amazing time. Enjoy! PS:Almost 2 days of playtime completed on PC & Xbox (cross save). I loved Fallout 3 and 4. I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
