Landing rights on nearby planets are up for grabs. Bargain hard with suspicious alien races, but be sure to snag the most profitable start-up trade routes, or your 3 competitors will race ahead.
Find the right balance between designing spaceships to optimize cargo or to fight off space pirates. Build starports to keep the local aliens happy but put enough money into faster ships. Fend off the competition by being smart but know when to fight dirty.
Jump on new technologies to propel you to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Survive wars, sabotage and pirate attacks. And raise enough money on the InterStellar Exchange to buy out the other guys, or they'll crush you of his own game.
