    Sonic Frontiers is the best Sonic game in the entire franchise! This game in it of itself is a masterpiece regardless of Sonic games! The open world is so fun to explore and you can run freely and platform at full speed and fight enemies, bosses and Titans, it's so fun! You can also combat and fight a lot of unique enemies and bosses, and unlock alot of new combat moves and skills at theSonic Frontiers is the best Sonic game in the entire franchise! This game in it of itself is a masterpiece regardless of Sonic games! The open world is so fun to explore and you can run freely and platform at full speed and fight enemies, bosses and Titans, it's so fun! You can also combat and fight a lot of unique enemies and bosses, and unlock alot of new combat moves and skills at the skill tree! You can also upgrade Sonic, you can upgrade his strength, speed, ring capacity and defense! The story is the best out of the whole franchise, and the voice acting is very good, Roger Craig Smith did an amazing job as the voice of Sonic! The music in this game is incredible and it's the best music in the entire series! The Super Sonic fights against the Titans were amazing and some of the best fights in a video game! Thank you Takashi Izuka and ESPECIALLY Morio Kishimoto who created this MASTERPEICE!

    Against all odds and expectations I had, this turned out to be something truly special. The more you put into the game, the more you get out of it. Great for any Sonic fan and 3D action game fan

    This game is goated, has good graphics but has pop ins but i can look over that as the game has many redeeming qualities, the soundtrack is awsome the story is nice and gameplay is very fun, not my favourite sonic game but surely goated

    Another absolutely underdeveloped mess from Sonic Team. Seriously, why do they keep pumping out broken garbage and the fanbase keeps lapping it up without any criticism? If this is all you want, this is all you're ever going to get, but good grief this game is broken, boring, janky nonsense.

    The best game in the franchise. The story is great and the characters well written, finally. The gameplay and core mechanics are really fun. Sonic Frontiers is definitely an amazing game and lays the ground work for the future and I can't wait for the next one.

    If you remember the times when you thought Sonic was the coolest thing in the **** world, this game will bring those feelings back. The music is an MGR level masterpiece. The story re-establishes the cast as the likeable but flawed characters they are. It hints at a future game where the cast will play a bigger (and probably playable) role.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sonic Frontiers is a great step in the right direction and I thoroughly enjoyed my two play throughs of the game. It’s obviously not a perfect game and I feel the game takes a massive dip in quality particularly towards the final two islands as they reuse the island theme from Kronos, the first island. There are more things bringing this game down such as it’s anticlimactic “true” final boss, the abysmal pop in that distracts you as you play and the magnet like feel sonic has to the ground which is especially noticeable on the third island. The best things about the game has to be its absolutely amazing OST. The titan boss fights are the best parts of the game by far with these Metal Gear Rising like rock themes playing as you go. The combat in this game also isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It’s no DMC 5 but it’s definitely a solid combat system. All that being said this is probably the most fun I’ve had in a 3D Sonic title since Sonic Generations and I hope they use Frontiers’ more open gameplay in Future games.… Expand

    One of the best Sonic games that I 'v ever experienced. Combat, cyberspace, story, characters. it's all very good. The only thing I had issues is with the pop-ins which needs to be fixed in the future but anyway, Sonic team great job

    This game is really good, but it has some flaws. The pop in is big and there is some bugs (not much) but the game could have been more polished. the story was really good, i just wish the animations were better, its a big improvement from forces, but its still not good enough.     if Sonic Adventure and Sonic Generations had a baby you would have this masterpiece!

    The soundtrack, the combat...such a breath of fresh air for the franchise.

    I would've rated it higher were it not for the wonky roaming bosses (they can be glitchy at times.)

    This is genuinely a contender for the game of the year, it's that good. My score is an 8.6 for this game, but i'll give you a detailed run down.
    --Positives--
    -Ambitious open zone with lush environments and beautiful music to accompany it -Great physics, allows you to pull off speedy strats, especially with rails. -Serious story, with good mystery elements -Cyber Space levels, the    This is genuinely a contender for the game of the year, it's that good. My score is an 8.6 for this game, but i'll give you a detailed run down.
    --Positives--

    -Great physics, allows you to pull off speedy strats, especially with rails.
    -Serious story, with good mystery elements
    -Cyber Space levels, the linear levels in the game, are extremely fun to find speedrun strats with.
    -Amazing vocal themes. Won't spoil anything specific that hasn't been revealed, however:
    -I'm Here, the main theme, is absolutely amazing. Vandalize, one of 3 possible ending themes, is also really great.
    -Boss themes are genuinely perfect, please go through this game unspoiled to get the full experience.
    -Combat is really fun to combo with, especially on enemies like the Ninja class of robots, who are really fun to dodge and parry.
    -Boss fights are some of the most fun I've had with a video game in years. Please, save your game in the extra slots before them, to ensure that you can go back and replay these gems.

    --Negatives--
    - Cyber Space often reuses level aesthetics & designs. Up to you to decide if you prefer originality or fun.
    - After island 3, the game becomes slightly less visibly polished. Islands 4 & 5, (no spoilers) just seem like they were after thoughts. They're fun to play, but they feel less polished.
    - Story mystery is great, but the reveals are under cooked.
    - The different endings are locked behind difficulty, so it's kind of hard for players of certain skill levels to achieve certain endings.

    Verdict
    This game is great. It's really one of the best games this year so far. However, some poor decisions such as limiting the team to 60 people, have made the game fall short of a 9/10.
    Final Score: 8.6/10.

    Well this game is buggy as **** **** empty and limited world, diealogues are ****ed up, boring music and ****ty story. Damn, how can sonic fanboys give this game a 10? That's way sonic is never gonna get good, they are blind by their own fanatism. Anyway, have a nice time making sonic a mediocre saga (more than it is right now); peace.

    It's been a while since I've been so captivated by a Sonic game, and while this one has some pretty glaring issues I think Sonic Frontiers is the best the blue-blur has been in a LONG while. My main issues with the game seem to stem purely from the actual stages in the game itself, not the MAIN aspect which was clearly stated to be the open-zone aspect. The controls in the "cyberspace"It's been a while since I've been so captivated by a Sonic game, and while this one has some pretty glaring issues I think Sonic Frontiers is the best the blue-blur has been in a LONG while. My main issues with the game seem to stem purely from the actual stages in the game itself, not the MAIN aspect which was clearly stated to be the open-zone aspect. The controls in the "cyberspace" stages of the game seem VERY janky and stiff, and although it may make sense from a plot perspective, reusing level design and aesthetics.. Yeah that seriously needs to end. My other main complaint here is the game, in my opinion, has a VERY underwhelming ending which I can't really get into due to spoilers but yeah, more of a personal thing but my friends seem to share that opinion.
    The POSITIVES though, yeah they most definitely outweigh the negatives. Seeing as this is Sonic's first journey into the open-world/open-zone genre I was expecting something pretty horrible to be honest but I'm happy to say here that I was proven wrong and THEN some. It's a concept that really sounds horrible on paper, y'know a buncha floating rails and puzzels everywhere littered around pretty environments but since it's Sonic, taking into account how fast you're moving around it works.. It works really well. Granted I would've preferred these rails and things better integrated with the open-zones aesthetically but I really see this as a good start! Another thing this game delivers on and THEN some is the soundtrack, this time around they seriously blew me away with such a mixed and diverse bag of music. With beautiful calming pieces of music surrounding the open areas with such gorgeous instruments like a tabla of all things, from the boss themes which is ripped straight out of my early 2000's childhood of laying in my room listening to bands like Pierce the Veil (Kellen Quinn actually featuring on almost every main theme providing vocals) and while the Cyberspae was the weakest part of the game for me, Tomoya Ohtani and the rest of the crew at SEGA created some GREAT Electronic/EDM/Dance pieces here that I can even imagine literal dance-clubs playing. I was actually very fond of the story this time around, an aspect to Sonic games I really haven't been crazy about since Sonic and The Black Knight way back in 2009. It's refreshing, the new writer Ian Flynn seriously delivered something impressive with his take on the characters and their dialogue, and to have a story actually hold real weight in the universe again really meant something to me.
    All around, as a first step in making things better with Sonic it's a REALLY great start and I hope they continue to listen to the community with what we like, dislike, and hearing that Sonic Team is expanding marks a seriously promising future for this franchise. A future entirely set in motion by Sonic Frontiers!    … Expand

    Loving this game. It ain't perfect, but, this is definitely the kind of direction Sonic games should be moving in. The next game in the series should be open world and cyberspace again, but the open world should be based on sonic levels graphics. Not lifelike vistas. It looks and feels a bit weird. Sonic style art all through the game.

    Currently my favorite Game of 2022 and the most fun Sonic game I played in years. It‘s a great foundation for future installment. The Graphics Engine needs to be updated though for this type of direction. It needs Distance View and higher geometry detail on environmental objects to make sceneries more astonishing when discovering new places.

    But all in all it‘s a very fun and exciting    Currently my favorite Game of 2022 and the most fun Sonic game I played in years. It‘s a great foundation for future installment.     Sonic's entry into new, for him, gaming paths is overall successful, despite any problems. With a little polish and attention to detail, the next game in the series has the foundations in place to finally look eternal rival Mario in his three-dimensional, bubbly eyes.
