    Years since its release, it's still hard to find a shooting game as satisfying as this one.... Violence! That was the main selling point of this game, and it did deliver! Extremely responsive, each of your countless shoots triggers a reaction of the enemy.

    Why modern games can't provide this level of sophisticated gore anymore is a mystery especially with how advanced game engines are nowadays. Still arguably the most satisfying shooter ever created.

    Beautiful game with very strong storytelling. I enjoyed every second of it.

    Back in 2000, I saw its ad on a magazine. “Soldier of Fortune” The cover got me you know. I told to my self that I gotta play it. Then my friend and i bought it. Back then owning a computer was very rare and playing a game on it was some kinda legendary. We were too excited to play it. Half-Life was good, Doom was OK but we were looking for something else.

    Turned on my Windows 2000    Back in 2000, I saw its ad on a magazine. “Soldier of Fortune” The cover got me you know. I told to my self that I gotta play it. Then my friend and i bought it. Back then owning a computer was very rare and playing a game on it was some kinda legendary. We were too excited to play it. Half-Life was good, Doom was OK but we were looking for something else.

    Turned on my Windows 2000 system, put the disc and installed game. First mission and we were blown away. Those mechanics, sounds, enemies, story telling everything was packed in one game. I still remember how I was shocked when enemies lost their limbs with my shotgun. It was terrific.

    On the other hand, it’s too sad for me to can’t find a game like this with today’s tech. Just unbelievable.    … Expand

    Soldier of Fortune is an action pack brutal game that will please every hardcore gamer to its core.
    Build using the Quake 2 engine, this is a beautiful looking game with amazing level design, really, this are the best designed levels for a game release in 2000. The main attraction of the game it's the dismember system that show how violent the game can it be and it is really violent.
    As    Soldier of Fortune is an action pack brutal game that will please every hardcore gamer to its core.

    As i already mention the game is best enjoy in it's highest difficulty, this is where the game shines, keep on mind that dying is something that will happen a lot... really... a lot.
    The storyline i consider it kind of basic but well executed.
