unfortunately after picking this game up again in season 2 - it still has the same issues as in season 1

abusive teammates and a ban system that encourages premades to harass solo players without consequences (because there is no way for the solo player to do anything about it with the current report system) just to have their premade report the solo player for no reason after the match

The game is very fun and remarkably addicting. If you enjoy the hardcore strategic and competitive nature of games like DotA but prefer WASD movement, controls similar to combat found in most MMORPGs, as well as games like Fury, Natural-Selection, or team fortress, then this game is for you.

Fun for the first 10 levels, but becomes dull. Not as skill oriented as other MOBAs such as LoL or DOTA due to the 3rd person view. This turns the laning phase into a poke war and takes away from the intense decisions in other MOBAs such as "Do I want to take this minion but risk getting hit by the enemy, or should I poke them and lost a minion kill. I can see how some people can like this game, but if you want a more strategy feel, I would go for LoL, DOTA or Heroes of the Storm. Expand

Smite is completely different then other MOBAs and its only because of amazing work with camera and POV. I was not really in MOBAs about 3 months ago, but then Smite broke me and i cannot thank it enough for that.

The community is not half as rude as when you go to play other games like Dawngate. So for 2014 this game is currently number one on my list. I have mastered about 7 Gods to level one so far. This game does a good job of making you feel very powerful I feel like each time I get to about lvl 15 I just start going on a rampage because my items I bought are so good by then I feel way more powerful than other mobas.
And the beauty of just having about 4 moves for each character to learn it only takes about 2 or three matches with a new character to start learning them. Hi Rez did an amazing job by reimagining the Moba and creating something totally REFRESHING FOR F2P THANKS.

Character models are mostly high quality with a small exception for the very older ones, but the devs are slowly reworking the models.

Smite is one of the most annoying games for a MOBA. People are constant tryhards top win a match and then the teammates never seem to cooperate with anyone. There are gods that are too overpowered to play. The game is so terrible and the only way to get around with the game is if you would win all the time I home Hi Rez fix the issues.

I also really like that they have distinguished themselves from other Mobas (at least Dota), not only in the 3rd-person-perspective, but in terms of how the matches play out. I feel that there is a higher possibility of a comeback, and the matches end a lot quicker, which is a welcome change of pace, since some Dota-games can really drag on. The skill-cap is high, but the game is more forgiving than other similar games, at least in my experience. So far, the community also seem a bit better than Dota 2. The biggest complaint I have, is that most (sadly) of the skins for the heroes are just awful. Some of them just don't look good, which is fine, I can just stay away from them, but some of the skins are just childish and ridiculous, which really bugs me out. Expand

Smite is pretty similar to other MOBAs, but it is heavily simplified. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The game is still highly competitive as it is based nearly entirely on skill shots and game knowledge. It's one of my favorite and most played games, and it's incredibly fun to play with friends. The game is free, so why not try it out? You may just find yourself in love with it.

That being said, if you're not all that familiar with MOBAs there is a learning curve to it, study up on all abbreviations and terms before jumping in. I was sold on the art direction, which is beautiful and the concept of leagues, levels and mastery ( which is an illusion ). You gain experience, regardless of a team win or loss, which contributes to your God Mastery level. You end up with people, who have level 10 mastery in God, who are not very good with their characters. You end up with people being rewarded for going AKF and sitting in base, not contributing. You end up having to carry people with a 1:13 and 3:15 kill-death ratio ( real stats from a game ) while also having to write a thesis in the chat channel about the fact that your 0:6 k/d with Thor, during the late game ( in a different game ) doesn't matter, since you have single-handedly done 7,300 structure damage. Maybe it's because the viewpoint is third person and the mini-map is off to the side, whereas in DOTA 2, people are very aware of the significance of losing or gaining a tower but players in Smite seem utterly clueless.

The player base and matchmaking is horrendous. The game is free-to-play ( with all the pluses and minuses that F2P brings ). The game is plagued by all of the problems of DOTA 2 ( AFK-Leaver-Noob-Retards ) plus the fact that people have never played a MOBA before and don't seem to understand the significance of tower loss or gain or even game-flow ( which is covered in Youtube tutorials and is viewable during the 5Gb download ). If you are a skilled player, be prepared to carry the team in almost every game.

The idea behind leagues is that if you get to level 30, you can play in competitive leagues. I have read that only 1.6% of the player base plays in leagues at any one time, which means 20 minute wait times for the Bronze league and those leagues are still not free of someone leaving the game, resulting in a re-queue time.

I could only stomach grinding to level 25. The match making was an epic exercise in frustration ( perhaps no different from other games which fail to have adequate match making, since match making is often an after-thought, if it is even thought about at all ). The only way around the matchmaking is to add friends and go in as pre-made ( Leagues do not support pre-mades ). Every page on the Official Smite forum talks about the broken match making ( an unsolved, 2 year problem ).

The game plays well enough and is very addictive. I have only noticed a couple of frame rate skipping episodes on my NVIDIA GTX 780 but I'm sure that those kinks will work themselves out in time. The game doesn't have the hardcore modes of DOTA 2 ( "Pure random" God pick or "pick 3" ).

Final Score: 7/10 ( 2 points deducted for the poor match making and 1 point for the the inability to appeal a false report of "intentional feeding" / crap player base ).

After 24 days of not playing, I went back and got to max level ( level 30), with 12 different God masteries, in an attempt to get into ranked games. I recently noticed this Reddit post, which everyone should read: "Smite-Streamer abuses Power to contact HiRez and instantly ban players".

I played a lot of LoL and some DOTA 2, and this game is very, very similar in terms of mechanics and gameplay. The view and lack of auto attack (every auto attack is actually a skill shot) is enough to totally set this game apart though.
It feels slower than LoL and easier to pick up and play as a noob. The gold difference between someone that's dominating and someone that's getting owned

It feels slower than LoL and easier to pick up and play as a noob. The gold difference between someone that's dominating and someone that's getting owned is much smaller than in LoL. It's therefore much harder to snowball, and any advantage gained in early lane is quickly caught up.
One of the hardest things to get used to is running from a battle with low health, having to turn your back on the action. With LoL obviously you can see the action even when running away. In Smite you can only see what's in front. You may turn around and run because of low health, only to have a look back and find that your team has won the battle after all.
I play this game at 2560 x 1600 max settings and it looks wonderful and it's perfectly smooth on Xfire 290x cards.
There is no chat to all in this game, only your own team. Somehow between this and the fact that you're using WASD to move, the chat in game is minimal and much less agro than LoL.
    Pros
    - Good tutorials and good learning curve
    - Looks great and is very smooth with pretty much 0 lag
    - Much much MUCH less flaming / agro / abuse than LoL and far fewer trolls
    - Less snowballing and domination from an early game advantage

    Cons
    - Doesn't quite feel as addictive as LoL
    - Hard to learn a whole new set of champions and spells
    - Not many gods available to start with just the weekly rotation, every match feels the same

This a nice game for a MOBA and I have not been able to really get into those types of games. I just sort of lost interest after awhile because the teaching mechanic doesn't really work well. If a PUG is really green they get stomped without knowing why and other issues that games have that are in this genre. I think Smite does a good job to try and curb these as much as possible. There are 5 game modes to choose from, and for each time you win you get extra favor to purchase more gods and skins.

And speaking gods, there are over 50 to play as right now, and more and more keep being added. You'll definitely find one that you like, my favorite is Sun Wukong. Each god has a great design and multiple skins to make them look even better.

This game is pretty good, but there are some flaws. The matchmaking isn't the greatest, as sometimes you'll face someone with a master 10 Diamond Ares, and you're a master 1 Ymir. And the wait times for some of the match's are a little long.

Overall, it is a very fun game to play. Choose from any of the current 51 deities -- with more on the way -- and play in one of multiple game modes: Conquest, Arena, Assault, 1v1, 3v3, Conquest and Arena League, and the match of the day which is random restrictions on classic modes for fun.

The gameplay. The use of WASD and the 3rd person camera do make it a more engaging experience compared to an isometric MOBA. There is no way to influence the game with outside purchases, a la LoL runes. The active items in the game must be bought in game, which promotes countering. Overall the actual combat is very solid, but it is not what the advertisements portray. The game does advertise that it has only skillshots, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm not saying there are no skillshots, but things like AoE circles that require little more than just getting close to the enemy are fairly common. Regardless, it is still a very engaging combat system and I find it very fun.

Next, aesthetics. The game has a more lighthearted simple feel to it. I don't want to say it's cartoonish, but it is definitely a less serious art style than say LoL or DotA. Each deity has their own uniqueness about their models. The new item styles are all presented in a similar art style. I'm not very good with describing the art of the game, but it all fits together nicely, with updates to bring some more dated things up to par with the rest of the game.

Now for UI. Smite's UI has not been done very well. Every single window takes up the entire screen, whether its the skill, stats, death recap, or store window, The shop has come a long way to being more accessible, but it still has longer to go. The tabs on the home screen are unlabeled and hard to tell what they do. There's no collective shop for all the skins and voicepacks, and the store button actually directs you out of the game. The twitch integration for the game is a running joke of the community. The hud for in matches, however, is very minimal, has easily understood information, and has the nice addition of telling you if your teammates ultimate's are off cooldown.

And now for the parts of smite that need a lot of work, optimization and balancing.

In regards to optimization, after every patch, there are people complaining about frame rate decreases. Sometimes the drops are minimal, sometimes they are drastic. I've personally never been affected to badly, but the fps drops are hardware indiscriminate. It doesn't matter how powerful your computer is, there is always a chance there will be frame drops, which could be crippling. Also, there is very noticeable lag in many menu's, most notably the store and god select screen for a match. Quickly scrolling in either creates tearing and stuttering, both of which are very distracting and annoying. There's a lot of room for improvement in this regard, and while a very small amount of patches have mentioned optimization, I've yet to see someone say their frames have actually increased.

Balancing is done horribly by Hi-Rez. Many deities are blatantly overpowered or broken, with others just completely useless. Zeus has been widely considered the most overpowered thing in the game for months now, and he has remained completely untouched. Also, a lot of nerf's to deities do not actually address the problem the deity has, and some nerf's are just completely random with no explanation. Which brings me to my next point, developer transparency.

Very rarely is a nerf/buff been explained beyond "[enter deity name] performed higher/lower than expected." One thing that many people have taken for granted from other companies, a collective forum, was actually only just recently reinstated from Hi-Rez. After completely failing at moderating the forums the first time around, they just completely shut the forums down and stated that the smite subreddit was the new official discussion board for smite. They brought the forums back, and this won't affect my rating, but it is something people should know coming into the game.

Fairly sure I covered all the bases. Even if I didn't, I expect this to be more informative than the countless 10's that only praise the game, despite it's obvious problems. I still wholeheartedly recommend smite, I just don't want people to join with their hopes to high. Hopefully Hi-Rez works on these problems so I could give it a higher rating; however, right now, even with all my love for the game, I give it a 6.5/10, I rounded up for the MC score.

I like Smite. It´s a nice change from all the DOTA and LOL and all that. The only thing that is different is camera angle. It has a third person view instead of a top-down perspective. i´ve heard that smite "steals" some abilities from LoL but the beta of Smite started way, waaay long before LoL's beta and peak.

They have turned each god into your typical champions whilst making the creeps into "mortals". It is a brilliant idea. May I first state that the camera angle is amazing. You switch your standard top-down view for a TPS-RPG-MOBA type game feel to it.... if that makes sense. It is so refreshing to just have a cmaera that moves and looks where you want, when you want. It also makes ganking as an assassin FUN and MEANINGFUL as you can sneak up on your enemy. I main Loki and have recently bought Fenrir. Loki is the mainstreamed trickster god from norse mythology. He is brother to thor and son to Odin. Fenrir is Loki's son... but is a wolf... i dont really know how that all works but I am LOVING fenrir so far. If I want to play serious, I'll role loki and go 20-2-5... if I want to have a lot of fun whilst playing I will role Fenrir and go more 10-5-7. Having played many a MOBA, Smite is more than a step in the right direction. I love the third person view over the top down as most MOBA's do. The only complaint is that you do not get master in co-op. You get 3 mastery in normal (pvp) but I think you should get at least 1 mastery in co-op. Do not force people to pvp or you lose players.

Smite also has abilities that involve gods flying up into the air way above the combat and shooting/raining down projectiles. This was a lot of fun. The game is polished, game play skill-based (lots of skill shots), graphics are sharp, sound is good, and the interface in-game and out are well-done. The game modes already provided are interesting and will only get better. I have not played the game enough to comment on the balance of the gods, but this should only improve over time if there is any lack currently. With 50+ gods (and they all seem fun to play in different ways) and more on the way, this game will only get better. From someone who has played a substantial amount of Heroes of Newerth, Dota 1, and Dota 2, I give this a very strong recommendation! The minimap isnt very good and doesnt really convey information such as enemy location in lane because as soon as your opponent moves a bit further away from your teammate (even if he stays in lane) he will disappear from your minimap.

Furthermore the mostly unranked gametypes this game has are ruined by premades stomping randoms - there doesnt seem to be a decent pre vs pre matching. Especially later at night you will often run into 3 (conquest) to 5 (arena) man premades who just destroy random teams over and over.

^The issues above are somewhat fixed with the introduction of curse voice but not that many people are using it as of yet (especially in unranked where people dont WANT to use voice) so its not helping as much as it could.

By far the worst thing about the game is the report system. Basically the losing team will usually pick 1 guy on their team and just shove all the blame on him and ask the other team to report him as well. (you know how everyone becomes trash tier when your team loses.. *sigh*)

You can also get banned for getting disconnects during games (which actually happens a bit more at right now because hirez seems to have server problems at the moment) pretty much if you DC 3 times in 2 days you get a ban.

All of this wouldnt be an issue if the bans would be looked into more thoroughly by a support team but theyre not. And in addition to that if you get banned 4 times (within any timeframe at all ever) your ban will be almost permanent (1year). This is a huge problem as leveling a character to the point where u can play ranked takes A LOT of time and if u want to use all the gods you will have to unlock all of them again on a new account as well (which again consumes A LOT of time OR you can of course PAY MONEYZZZ to speed it up)

So basically banning people is a pretty good source of income for HiRez which is not a good starting point for a fair report/ban system.

The community isn't as good as they claim they are, it is a DotA clone after all, and all the communities seem to be extremely toxic when it comes to those type of games. Hi-Rez, the developers of the game, also have quite the reputation to abandon their games as soon as they get released (See Tribes: Ascend and Global Agenda). It also has a flat out BROKEN matchmaking system, where people who are extremely new to the game will get paired up with players at professional levels just because the game felt like it.

The Gods are unbalanced and people use and ban the same Gods every game, many gods are not viable because they're just too weak compared to others.
The matchmaking is broken as it takes into account the average MM rating of the team, so you end up with situations where high ranked players end up in the same team with relatively new players while the opponents are more even in skill level and either the high ranked players have to carry the game to victory on their own or they're gonna lose badly.
Gods can be unlocked for free but their cost is so high (5500) and the "favor" (free game currency) you gain per match is so low (20-50 depending on game mode and win/loss) that you just won't be able to unlock every god without paying real money.
The game has servers only in 2 regions, NA and EU, so you often end up in teams with Latins, Spanish, Brazilians, Russians, etc. who can't or refuse to speak English and so will lose you the game due to no communication. Not to mention the ping and lag issues if you're plying from the West Coast or anywhere outside the US or Europe.
The items are very few and the stats very simplistic, often taking away most of the choices in item builds as there are always must have items on every god depending on your role.

In the end Smite is a game built for casual gamers new to MOBAs, with very little to offer to veterans from other and better games from this genre.

I would buy a skin immediately for my champ in league because of their superior art/effect/design. The item mechanism is broken, a lot of items are similar, if you go check the items in league, they are much better/more diverse. Lastly, the first person perspective just fails in a MOBA, sometimes a projectile that misses 1 millimeter on the screen can decide if you win or lose in League, yet in this game it's impossible to do that.

The smite servers arent often times not as stable as they should be and it happens that you will be kicked from the lobby for no reason. Thats a deserter debuff for you. (and if you get deserter too often you get banned!)

People report too much in this game. If you have a bad game.. you will get reported for feeding. If you are annoyed because some dude feeds the enemy team and you simply spam the ingame emotes a few times whenever he dies, you will get reported for harass.

Even if you play a decent game but your team loses anyway.. yup thats a report for you! It's really really bad. Especially as a support you can eat your heart out with CC and helping others and your team will still insult and report you in hopes of getting you banned if you lose (solution dont play support ever!).

The worst thing by far is that smite checks for other programs running while you run smite (e.g. detecting cheat engine). But not only does smite not care wether or not you actually USE the program to modify the game and instant permaban it also missdetects some programs like a few graphic card addons and performance trackers.

The ban count is never reset so earlier or later you WILL get the 1 year ban.

The only thing i can recommend is to not spend any real money on cosmetics or god unlocks simply because it will be gone earlier or later

The good thing about SMITE in my opinion, is that it feels more like an action game than a pure MOBA, and in my opinion, that's a great thing because I was really getting tired of the constant samey MOBA experiences. Controlling your hero feels more like you are actually in control, not just giving commands to a hero. Every auto-attack and skill use feels good, because you are in control.

The game features *now* great graphics, fluid movement, good interface and a huge variety of items and active skills to customize your hero. The game barely had any of those things 2-3 years ago, but Hi-Rez put their head to it and made the game so much more than what it was. It's really great.

The VGS (voice guided system) is pure gold. Probably one of the best features that I have seen in any MOBA, ever. It allows for quick communication with your team without hindering the gameplay at all. All the commands are appropriately labelled and you can learn the whole system quickly. This increases the whole cooperation with your team, without voice chat in the game. You can even customize the V commands with a voice pack of your choice by your favourite gods.

Great thing about this game, is that it's based on mythology, and all the gods you know and love are back in and fighting with each other.

Before, the UI, matchmaking and graphics were my main gripes with this game, but Hi-Rez is making constant HUGE updates with revamped graphics, characters , maps, game modes , skins, etc.

My main two gripes with this game are kind of minor, but they are there: HORRIBLE voice acting except for few characters like Tyr, and silly auto attack animations which seem be needlessly spectacular (like, does my character really need to do a 720 degrees backflip every other auto attack? Hi-Rez is getting better, but some AAA are still silly).

SMITE also has a great business model, a step up from LoL. You can not only buy characters with in-game currency and real currency, but you can also rent gods and pay a lifetime fee of £20 and get every god + every future god in the game.

Overall, SMITE is a great f2p package and everybody who loves MOBA games AND action games should check it out, it's really fun.

The only MOBA I'll play due to it being more action oriented. Having a god pack that includes all current and future gods for only $30 is what sold it to me. You could pay nothing and unlock all gods but it would take FOREVER due to how much ingame currency they cost. I'd recommend trying out the game with the weekly gods then if you like it enough buy the god pack.

Community (overall *cough*) is good, the gameplay is awesome plus I love the 3rd person camera, characters/heroes are GODS which makes you feel like one and it's super easy to learn compared to Dota or LOL (played em both). Gods of choices is where it draws the line. Better yet, this game is picking up new players Fast!! It's about time someone does it right.

The gods are very unbalanced. That's ok, Games can have some issues, but then you realize that Hirez keep unbalancing and unbalancing everytime, buffing strong gods like Cyla, Kumba, Nox and Nerfing weak ones, mainly removing defense stats' strongness. It's all that? No, Then they put Susano and New Mouse, both ultra high overpower, **** all the game up.

Mechanically, this game is sound. I'm not a MOBA fan, but I loved the action SMITE brings to the table. It's so funny how a different perspective can lead to such a different result, but it's true here. If this game were it's own, and not just a MOBA, but more like UT, it'd still be kick ass.

The Gods are really cool. Though they have made some Gods look more LoL-like (Kali, He-Bo, New Ao), overall, they have done a great job to actually acknowledge the pantheons they come from. My favorite is Neith, followed by Bastet, then Bacchus. Though I may only play certain Gods, I love all of them. There characters stick out, their VP's are top-notch, and the costumes that keep coming only further the personalities of the Gods (and, in turn, the players).

I may return to it at some point. I've played for a loooonnnngggg time and have seen SMITE undergo many many changes. Every step Hi-Rez has made has been the right step towards making an engaging MOBA worthy of e-sports fame (and I'm being generous here, as I find e-sports to be "What, you can't catch a football?")

All in all, this is a solid game. If you have a 2-4 friends that like this type of stuff, I'd say bring the malong if you haven't already. SMITE is doing it's best to stand out among the many, monotonous MOBA's out there.

Probably the most important thing of a MOBA, besides good looking/catchy gods.
Movement and combat feel natural, as does skill placement.
Sometimes it can be very hard to land a certain skill or spell, but when you do... It feels just AWESOME!

I also quite like the fact that you move slower when go sideways or backward, this adds more depth to the game, because you actually have to think how you move your character!

If we talk about items, they are well balanced and versatile, yet it's simple to understand what they do.
The only thing that's nagging me is: you CAN't sell 'active' items, which instantly makes no-one use them before late game.

    What about the game modes?
Some are really cool, others suck. I think it's good that they have these different game modes, eventually it's your choice what you like to play!

    Graphics
Lets be honest: most gods look really, really cool! As do there skills/spells and attack animations.
But of course there are some gods that look really lame.

Map wise they made it come to life, it looks like a battleground worthy of the gods.
But again, some maps are cool others are not. It depends on your preference.

    Conclusion
Overall this game is fun to play and has an OK community, especially when considering this game is a MOBA. It has a nice skill cap with many different gods, some easy, others hard to master.
The different game modes are fun to play, I personally like to switch them up once in a while.

Gods are pretty balanced, but can easily get out of control when running away with kills early on.
They look good, feel good as do their skills/spells.

The overall control over your god feels a lot better than in a standard MOBA!

    This game deserves a 8/10.

It could honestly pass for being made 5 years before its actual release.

Made by a studio who can't create an original IP and only steals ideas from others, badly!

The skill curve is fairly high. You have to put in quite a few hours to be able to compete in pvp matches. Smurf accounts are extremely popular so most of the games I've played have been denied enjoyment. The mechanics are dull and almost childish, though the reaction timing needed can be immensely overwhelming at times. The scaling of mid to late game items is not balanced what so ever. The skill curve is fairly high. You have to put in quite a few hours to be able to compete in pvp matches. Honestly smite is a super fun game and I have played it for about a year and a half. That being said, Hi-Rez software, network services, and customer service are absolutely terrible. Since I started playing smite, it has been one of the laggiest, fair-weather games I have ever played. It has dramatic highs and lows in server performance the likes of which I have never sen before. If you consult Hi-Rez technical support on the matter they will tell you that it is a problem with your computer or internet connection, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. The servers crash often and any time there is a server issue you are likely to be banned for abandoning a match despite the fact that their paper-clip and chewed gum servers are at fault.

In short, the game is fun, but be prepared for a lot of technical difficulties, and absolutely no interest in helping you or even recognizing that there are problems on hi-rez' end. also expect a high learning curve do to the fact that in the starter lvl matches there is often 15-30 smurfs.

could be a much much better game if Hi-rez decided to put some effort into it and maybe improve some base line technical problems instead of completely re-hauling the meta every 2 weeks.

If you're fine with playing a game and getting no real support, go for it. However, I'd not recommend actually spending money on it or investing too much time in case what happens to me happens to you. So I was playing the game for around a full year when I got a new computer, it wasn't a great one, but it was brand new and had only the basic files on it.

However, after I got the computer my friends invited me to a game for it, and I was after we got into a game for 2 minutes I was kicked out. I thought 'Oh lord, it crashed!' So I tried to hurry back on and I was banned for using illegal software. On a brand new computer. So I figured, ' This has to be a mistake.' but my friends are demanding I play, one made an account for me, and then first 2 minutes. Banned again. So an application on a brand new computer had software that was bringing up false positives, I confronted support about that and they were probably the rudest people I've ever talked to, especially from any support group. I asked for a multitude of things, any potential of getting ban lifted? Since it was a fresh computer? No. Could I at least be told what the supposed program was so that I could remove it? No. After the first two responses they simply stopped responding.

TL;DR play it if you want, but don't invest time or money into it, because you may be banned for literally nothing, and they will not listen to anything you have to say. However, the gameplay was fine.

Disagree, the game is incredibly buggy at high ratings, you can become stuck in walls, hitboxs glitch out when moving into the air or ulting. Animations are not visible for several skins meaning you can't aim some of your abilities. Hi-Rez also has poor customer service, a friend was once locked out of his account for 2 months for no reason, the company itself had no idea why he was lockedDisagree, the game is incredibly buggy at high ratings, you can become stuck in walls, hitboxs glitch out when moving into the air or ulting. This is an AWESOME game, I love it, its quick, its fun, where it lacks for strategy, it compensates with the action and the rewards you get for being skillful at it... Now you may be asking "Why did you give this game a "2" if you love it?" well... the players. I don't hate the game, I HATE THE PLAYERS. and as long as Smite doesn't do anything to fix this, this score will remain as a 2. Expand

Smite is alternative to Dota and LoL suited to beginners as well as veterans of the genre.

Third god perspective freshens up the MOBA genre but its potential was not fully utilized (e.g. you can jump, but there’s nowhere to jump to). Smite makes up for that with varied game modes and accessibility to inexperienced or casual players. [06/2014, p.58]

The product of Hi Rez Studios is well made, and offers different feelings from those of its competitors, thanks to the different camera angle and a fast paced gameplay.
