    The graphics are incredible for the era that this game came out. The fun factor is top-notch. The story is compelling, with a very fun world to explore. Combat has a lot of cool options. The game can be a bit buggy with NPCs ping-ponging all over the map and cars rubber banding, which knocks the score down a tad bit.

    The game is slightly outdated, but it delivers the proper "GTA mood", that you haven't felt since San-Andreas: memorable characters, simple and catchy missions, violence, romance, and bro-kind-of-fun. In addition, it's probably the best beat-em-up, way more pleasing than what Spider-Man and Batman games provided.

    Cons:

    * There's a bug in the game that prevents adjusting the refresh rate - it seems to detect the highest possible refresh rate your monitor can handle and then locks it in even if you want or need to set it lower - for example my monitor will do 144Hz, but this game doesn't run well at that speed and really needs to be adjusted down to 60 or 75Hz but you can't. As a work-around I'm    Cons:

    * There's a bug in the game that prevents adjusting the refresh rate - it seems to detect the highest possible refresh rate your monitor can handle and then locks it in even if you want or need to set it lower - for example my monitor will do 144Hz, but this game doesn't run well at that speed and really needs to be adjusted down to 60 or 75Hz but you can't. As a work-around I'm using the NVidia control panel to enforce a maximum framerate for this specific game at the driver-level, which is more of a band-aid than a fix as it isn't the same as using true application-level VSync and will still have some stutters in certain parts of the game. This is a bug that should have easily been addressed during QA testing.
    * Some of the side missions are quite poorly designed where they can be borderline impossible if you don't wear a certain outfit that gives you a boost to gunfire accuracy, or where you're supposed to subdue someone, but they don't tell you how - things that can cause you to easily fail a mission because they don't give you enough information to know what you're supposed to do. Same with some of the mini-games that are timed, etc. where you basically have to use Google to figure out what you're supposed to do in order to do it and progress.
    * I found that sometimes countering didn't work all that well during boss fights in terms of the timing, etc. - I'd press counter at the appropriate points but your character would just stand there and get hit.

    Pros:

    * Pretty darn good graphics for an older game
    * Solid hand-to-hand combat for an older game - similar to Batman Arkham style, just not quite as refined or free-flowing. It is enjoyable with solid move and combat variation.
    * Gun combat is ok / a little wonky but not bad.
    * Game has very good flow in terms of the way the main missions are handled and allow time for the player to do side missions and have them not feel forced or like they are out of place in the storyline. This is something I find jarring in a lot of other games because this is usually handled so poorly, but these devs did a nice job on it with this game.
    * The main missions don't really get dull, at all, they are well-designed and a lot of fun.
    * Normal gender behavior in the game - likely because it was made about 10 years back when things were normal. Guys like attractive women and the game doesn't shy away from that, showing men attracted to women and vice versa. A breath of fresh air, indeed; happy to get my wallet out for this kind of content.
    * Adding on to the above - no alphabet-people nonsense in the game at all.
    * Excellent overall narrative story that kept me engaged throughout.
    * Driving / chase sequences are also pretty darn good - vehicle behavior when driving is quite commendable.

    Game Length: ~27 hours. I did probably 90-95% of the game.

    Final Rating: 8/10. Excellent game, I got this on an extreme sale for a few bucks at the recommendation of a friend (thanks mhenryblack) and I would highly recommend it to others.    … Expand

    1.poor textures quality even on extreme graphics settings , wall and NPCs textures are look like ps2 games
    2.bad anti aliasing and lack of TAA

    A quite entertaining open-world game with beautiful Hong Kong scenery, story is captivating but the ending is unsatisfying, and combat is good enough despite its flaws. Overall, Sleeping Dogs is a pretty good game that everybody can easily enjoy.

    It is one of the best open-world games and easily comparable to the likes of GTA. Its not only fun to play but has an intriguing storyline and great characters and voice actors. The story is set in Hong Kong and the map is beautiful with congested and over-populated streets, with noise and beauty around every corner which makes it feel like a living city.     Press LBM, E, F - all game around this key. It is not bad, but it what I remember after passed game on 100%. Gameplay is so similar, so casual and not interested in long distance.

    Sleeping Dogs suffers from being just a good game, because the story that is told is at a much higher level than the game itself.

    *STORY*: We are the undercover cop Wei Shen, in charge of taking down one of the most fearsome criminal organizations in the world: the Hong Kong Triads. An impeccable script, with fantastic and believable characters (and their use) and a successful    Sleeping Dogs suffers from being just a good game, because the story that is told is at a much higher level than the game itself.

    *STORY*: We are the undercover cop Wei Shen, in charge of taking down one of the most fearsome criminal organizations in the world: the Hong Kong Triads.

    An impeccable script, with fantastic and believable characters (and their use) and a successful narrative.
    In short, a great story.

    *GAMEPLAY*: Melee combat is fun and easy but difficult to master.
    Weapon combat is secondary and you can see why: it's just not up to par.
    There are more activities scattered around the map besides the main quests, but they're not a big deal.

    *GRAPHICS: Although artistically it's outstanding (Hong Kong, it's normal that it stands out), graphically it's quite normal.
    Besides that, the Definitive Edition improves and worsens elements in equal parts.

    *SOUND*: Except for some main theme, it is also a normal section.

    *INNOVATION*: Sleeping Dogs, as a game, did not innovate in anything, and the Definitive Edition, as a review, is very very mediocre.    … Expand

Oyun Çin'de geçtiği için bu oyunu için bildiğimiz diğer modern Açık Dünya oyunlarından ayıran bazı özellikler var. Trafiğin soldan akması gibi. Oyunda Wei Shen isimli bir polisi kontrol ediyoruz. Wei gizli bir polis. Eski arkadaşı aracılığı ile doğup büyüdüğü mahallenin çetesinin içine sızan Wei, aldığı istihbaratı polis ile paylaşıyor. Geçmişte kız kardeşini uyuşturucudan kaybetmiş olan Wei, bir yandan da buna sebep olan "Dogeyes" isimli rakip çete liderinden de intikam almak istemektedir. Wei, çeteye girdiğinde çete lideri Winston Chu ile iyi ilişkiler kursa da çetenin önemli üyelerinden Conroy, Wei'den şüphelenmekte, ona güvenmemektedir. Ancak Wei ilerleyen zamanlarda çete için çok yararlı şeyler yapar ve Conroy'un da güvenini kazanır. Ayrıca dövüşlerde çevre etkileşimi çok üst düzey ve tatmin edici. Yetenek ağacı da yeterli seviyede detaylılığa sahip ve karaktere birçok farklı özellik kazandırmak mümkün. Oyunda silahlı çatışmalar da var, özellikle oyunun sonlarına doğru bu çatışmalar çok artıyor. Oyun silah kullanımı ve silah çeşitliliği konusunda çok yetersiz. Oyunda sadece 3-4 farklı çeşit ateşli silah bulunuyor, yakın dövüş silahları biraz daha fazla olsa da yine de yeterli seviyede değil. Vuruş hissi olarak düşmanlar yedikleri mermilere normal tepkiler veriyor, yani oyuncu duvara sıkıyormuş gibi hissetmiyor. Vuruş hissi çok iyi değil fakat çok kötü de değil, ortalama sayılır. Ama silah kullanımı gerçekten çok kötü ve sıkıcı, özellikle nişan sistemi ve silahların geri tepmesi çok kötü, yapay zeka da iyi değil. Araç sürüşü ve araç çeşitliliği yeterli değil. Araç sürmek keyifsiz ve kullanılabilen yalnızca birkaç çeşit araç var. Görev dizaynı olarak oyunun kendini çok tekrar eden bir yapısı var, görevlerin sürekli kendini tekrar etmesi ve bir yerden sonra hiç özgün görev kalmaması benim sıkılmama sebep oldu. Grafiksel olarak da oyun pek iyi değil, oyunun atmosferi çok güzel olsa da doku kalitesi ve aydınlatma çok kötü, ancak oyunun optimizasyonu iyi. Oyunu oyarken bazı küçük hatalarla karşılaştım.     Неплохая игра-песочница с китайскими мотивами. Колоритная стилистика, интересный сюжет, игра в двойного агента и свои фишечки это хорошо. Игра мало напоминает гта, упор здесь сделан с рукопашку, которая сделана просто и удобно, никаких хитромудрых комбо из нескольких клавиш. 8/10.Неплохая игра-песочница с китайскими мотивами.     I really like the setting in Hong Kong and the battle system is funny, but in comparison to other games Sleeping Dogs suffers in details, e.g horrible vehicle controls (better: Ghost Recon Wildlands), story is not heart-breaking (better: Yakuza Kiwami), the story is not developing with its missions (better: The Witcher 3).

    Melee combat is so fun. Hong Kong look amazing! Loved the city so much. Also i think there are interesting characters and story but the end of the game my biggest problem about this game. I just didn't like it

    pure fun, i would say this game really have all the open world aspect that should be available

    the melee combat is wayyyy too satisfying, it has fluid animation and really good combo to knock down the enemies. the character is agile, i really like it when there's a mission to chase somebody doing the parkour, jump over the building and ledge. the main story is short, but it's,    pure fun, i would say this game really have all the open world aspect that should be available

    the main story is short, but it's, really, goddamn good. each cutscene has their step up and really looks like a movie. the gang war, the contradiction, how brutal it is, love, hate, anger, joy, there's so much emotion in such short story.

    there's many things you can do beside the main story, all the mini-games looks fun and add some spices to this complete game

    cons, camera control looks rough, graphic is okay-ish, some bug happen in a mission so you have to restart again. but that's not gonna make it not playable. 9/10    … Expand

    Even though the game came out in 2012 and had a graphics boost in 2014, the experience was not harmed by its age while playing it in 2020; and    While I believe the open world design is not the best, Sleeping Dogs makes up for its engaging combat, thrilling storyline, good acting, passable side quests and overall a fun gameplay along with its mini-games, puzzles and even street racing.

    Mix the open-world of classic titles like Gta V and Saints Row, then add a very interesting plot about the chinese yakuza, then throw in some good old Yakuza-games style of combat. You've got yourself one of my personal favorites in all of gaming industry, beautiful game

    Very good I/we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, a windows 10 update ruined the game, so I couldn't finish it, but the game is great. Good story, good combat system, great missions.

    Sleeping dogs is one of the best action-fighting games with open world i have played. It has a lot of benefits. Firstly, it is a story. It is just absolutely marvelous, you can clearly see protagonist's emotion about what happens among the harsh Hong Kong's criminal world. Plot itself contains a lot of twists and good characters,    One of the most underestimated action games i have seen.

    Sleeping dogs is one of the best action-fighting games with open world i have played. It has a lot of benefits. Firstly, it is a story. It is just absolutely marvelous, you can clearly see protagonist's emotion about what happens among the harsh Hong Kong's criminal world. Plot itself contains a lot of twists and good characters, so you will not be bored. Secondly, it is gameplay. Beating enemies with kung-fu style is just marvelous! Plus, it has shooting and driving, which are also made good. Also, it has romances.

    Cons of this game are, as for me, open world . It is just simply not too interesting, The game has random events, but most of them repeat.

    I can recommend this game to anyone who like fighting games, open world-games and games with good plot, and for those who just like good games.    … Expand

    Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure video game developed by United Front Games and published by Square Enix. It was originally released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows. A remastered version subtitled Definitive Edition was later released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.

    A very sold open world crime game in the vein of GTA. While I found it a struggle to get in to at times it does have a solid story with interesting enough missions to get through. Only issues holding it back are the controls of driving and camera at times.

    But overall I just failed to really CONNECT with it. Going from mission to mission felt flimsy. The missions also start really abruptly and throw you into something without really explaining.

    Like you'll start a mission by going into the glowing circle and the next minute you are chasing someone down the street in a van. Unlike GTA V for example where there is a decent cut scene at the start of each mission which sets the tone and allows the story to flow seamlessly.

    In this you jarringly move from one mission to the next with very little preamble or mood setting.

    Then you also have the fact the story missions are reliant on the completion of side missions. Most of which are kind of dull actually.

    Personally, I wish they set up a CHOICE in this game. Where you can choose to work for the police or the triads. Then whichever you work for the most allows you two different endings. At least then doing the side missions wouldn't feel like such a chore and you could spend as much time as you want doing the much more interesting main triad missions.

    I am a little disappointed that I didn't connect with this game. I really wanted to enjoy it more. Unfortunately it fell a little flat for me.    … Expand

    Una auténtica sorpresa. Si hay un videojuego que puede competir con GTA en historia y misiones es éste sin duda. Lo peor del juego es que el estudio cerró y seguramente no veamos una segunda entrega a pesar que se está anunciando una película y lo está pidiendo a gritos. Juego que en PC mediante keys está tirado, hay que jugarlo.
