    It looks like fortnite and gta had a bastard baby that has been hidden away for quite some time, only to bee paraded around due to the lack of anything else to show forth

    Don't do this yourself. Just don't. Please. I beg you. It isn't worth it. There is no type of excitement nor originality anywhere near this game, even the launcher forbids you to stop as a warning to not progress further. I had to start the launcher a handful of times to start a $60 game....that is absurd.

    What a waste.

    This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. I will admit there are some fun parts in this game and the graphics are pretty decent, but the fun wears off quickly and you're left with a boring and repetitive game. Instead of a brand new game, it feels like some sort of SR3 DLC or what SR4 should’ve been instead of that president,This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. Instead of a brand new game, it feels like some sort of SR3 DLC or what SR4 should’ve been instead of that president, alien and superhero abomination that was put out. If this was released in 2013 It maybe would’ve been exciting, but in 2022 it's a mediocre game with mediocre voice acting, cringe dialog, mediocre characters, boring and repetitive combat, a plethora of bugs (many game breaking ones) and the same animations and engine Volition has been using for over 10 years. It's also been very clear since the reveal trailer that this game is made for younger kids of this generation, it's obvious Volition and Deep Silver don't care about old SR fans. They would rather pander to kids who have never played a Saints Row game in their life than the actual long time fans. Volition had a great opportunity here to capitalize on the open world, third person shooter market with the absence of Rockstar over the past 9 years, but they would rather dumb down their games so that 13 year olds who enjoy Fortnite can hop on this game and have fun. We told them from the start, "this is not what we want" "this looks terrible" "bring back the old saints" and all they could do is call us haters, well as it turns out the fans and consumers of the product were right yet again. I hope that Volition & Deep Silver will one day realize that they messed up bad with this game and the 3 before it just because they outright refuse to listen to their fans. I would like to see them publicly apologize for this poor excuse of a "Saints Row" game, but that will never happen, they will never admit that they were wrong, even if this was the final nail in the coffin for their already downward spiraling company. This is not Saints Row it only has the name because they knew it would sell decent numbers and make them some money. If you are a true fan of Saints Row, save your money.     It's every bit as bad as people expected it to be after seeing the cringe characters and clear political agendas..In a word it is boring ...On the bright side old Karen's like Anita Sarkesian finally have another game to play that wont offend them. Unfortunately for Volition Karens only complian about games, they don't play them or BUY them, so hope they enjoy their flowing.

    This Game was a huge disappointment from even seeing the first trailer. I am huge fan of series with the 3rd one being my favorite. I don't know what happened at studio probably a lot of staff have left for some reason but the game does not feel the same at all. The game has unlikable weak characters i thought this series was about being gangster, the enemy gang looks cooler. BIGGESTThis Game was a huge disappointment from even seeing the first trailer.     I'm Saints Row fanboy. Day before launch I saw that critics are trashing this game. Despite that I decided that I'm gonna buy it and have fun. But I lost that fight. Game grabbed my by the throat and slammed me hard into the ground, repeatedly. It is stripped of everything that made it special and so fun in previous instalments. No more offensive, yet funny humor and wacky story missions, with over-the-top memorable characters that the original games reveled in. I can't remember any of the new characters names, but I remember Shaundi, Gat, Pierce, Kenzi, Oleg, Angel, Professor Genki, The Deckers, TheThis aint it volition. This version of saints row leaves behind what made the original games so much fun to play. No more offensive, yet funny humor and wacky story missions, with over-the-top memorable characters that the original games reveled in. I can't remember any of the new characters names, but I remember Shaundi, Gat, Pierce, Kenzi, Oleg, Angel, Professor Genki, The Deckers, The Zynn. The Syndicate. Not the Generic, car-loving, musclehead panteros that just feel like discount brotherhood from SR2.

    Santa Illeso is a bland, boring, empty open world, while fun to explore at first, offers nothing to find but a few collectables of pointless value. The mission structure feels way too repetitive, you can no longer buy businesses or take over districts one section at a time. All the clothing for customization is littered all over the map with way too many individual vendors. Want a cool cape? You have to drive all the way into the mountains to buy it from a guy that sells that and gloves, cool. Bugs were minor and frequent but never game breaking for me, and after about 5 hours I had no desire to play this "new" saints row anymore.

    Gun combat is way too clunky for a 2022 game. The camera snap feature on all different settings made me want to just quit. Enemies will charge you while you're fine aiming so you have no option but to get animation locked when hit while you try to back away, but cant so you stumble around and get shot at by the others. Guns would constantly be un-loaded when I'd swap to them, and my character would often times get stuck reloading over and over again.

    The features of placing specific building for empire planning and being able to customize anywhere are really cool, and I wish I had these options in the previous games to make it feel like I was running a real criminal enterprise.

    When Saints Row does GTA it never works, but when Saints Row does Saints Row, its always great. This is just another open world clone with no substance and forgettable content.

    All in all, it's an okay open world game, and a bad "Saints Row" game.    … Expand

    How is it possible that the game that came out on the XBOX360/PS3 is still a thousand times better than the one we get now? I'm talking about Saints Row 2. The characters, the story, all of it was so much more fun.

    This game has worse controls then the old saints row. NO MULTI-PLAYER MODE.... Co-op is broken and can't be joined most of the time!

    I was a huge fan of saints row and blinged out ride game mode, protect the pimp, team death match.... This is a single player game only... With co-op that's broken... They did absolutely nothing new. I feel ripped off. Honestly not worth the money. If you do a fast turn with ebrake cops with dissappear instantly and so will your wanted level. The one time I got into a co-op match I got into one car and drove away my co-op partner could move because I went to far away from starting location. They just got locked could press any button.... I really hope saints row online gets release seperate to save this atrocity.. Or it could be the worst game of 2022. All the game play missions feel the same.... Run to location and kill someone.... Or run to a car and steal it and bring it back.... Nothing new nothing original... Npcs have hardly any ai intelligence... Like this is really bad guys... I wanted to love this game... I really did... And I paid $99 dollars for the top rated edition I should have known it would suck with all the different editions out...

    I wanted to play with my friends and make new friends, make out gang and customize our gang and take over over gangs... What happened to the fun of multi-player? Did devs decide we didn't need friends? Changed my rating to 0 because the more I think about it the more pissed off I get..    … Expand

    Car physics worst in the entire series. Aiming worst in the entire series. Dialogues are new low level, literally amazing. Few basic bugs like game can't start without administrator approval needed to reinstall entire epic games to fix this. It get's 2 from me and not 0 cause the game actually has good songs on the radio stations and offers translation to my main language.

    game will drop to half gpu utilisation and half fps no matter what api you use after a cutscene or if you alt tabbed, if it happens, change any graphic settings that need apply, press apply and it will be fixed until next cutscene

    Not to mention buggy ai behaviour vehicles despawning out of nowhere and setimes there are no Peds or vehicles on game world.
    Coming to gameplay and side activities these are out dated and un interesting as **** like in most of business ventures you gotta go to X place and stear X car or go to X place and kill enemies and the game is just driving to a location and shoot people and mixed with cringe dialogues this is just tedious this game has nothing special or good and this takes chore like activities to a whole another lvl like to unlock a perk you need to complete challenges etc even all ubisoft games look better and interesting compared to this.

    Finishing off this review with any self-respecting developer should start refunding the game given the state this **** is in they are not even doing that. this game is not even worth pirating    … Expand

    Only positive about this game is that the devs have made Saint's Row 4 look better than ever with this dumpster fire.

    Literally just a poor man's GTA clone minus all the good stuff, would've been average perhaps as a stand-alone game if it come out ten years ago, but now it is insulting to be called a "Saint's Row" game and insulting for a AAA company to release this in 2022.

    There are about 10 missions in the whole game... You go straight for the other "gangs" and end them after creating the saints... yeah... pathetic excuse for a game and anyone who thought this would be an amazing game while working on it should get out of game development, 80 dollar price tag for a mobile game at most, might as well just throw in ads after every few steps

    Let me get to what really matters: The game is still crap regardless. It just isn't the supposed "wokeness" that the far-right claims ruined the game. The game is truly ruined by "The Room" styled writing, repetitive missions (turret missions, shoot enemies in a car, defeat two waves of enemies before doing turret missions or shooting enemies in a moving car), tons of bugs, crashes, an empty open world, and more. The city is so empty, it makes Need for Speed Undercover's Tri-City Bay look like a lively world; and that says something. No seriously, watch videos of NFS Undercover and compare the world to Saints Row 2022.

    It's not about "GeT WoKe Go BrOkE!!!" or Epic exclusivity. If this game had GTA level humor, this game would still be awful. If it was available or even exclusive to Steam, the game would still be awful. Drop the politics and the platform wars for a second and call this game what it really is: An unfinished, buggy cash grab.    … Expand

You cannot make a good black humor game and be afraid to offend anyone - it is like trying to make an omelet without breaking any eggs.

    I've never been a fan of the previous parts. They're too clownish, unsightly and cheap, like they were made by a 12-year-old mod maker. But this part is above the others. Apparently even the developers didn't understand what they made this game for.

    Game looks like a ps3 game with somewhat ps4 textures with ray tracing. Girl voice actor 2 isn't even trying, animations are poor and rushed, plane in the intro sequence has no realizm/physics at all, just a bumpercar in the air, story is so far boring and cliche, gameplay is boring and not even enjoyable, and controls are annoying.

    Los mayores problemas son, su precio (70 Euros) y su nombre. De haber salido a 35 Euros y con otro titulo no se le puntuaria tan bajo.
    El titulo es antiguo en mecanicas, todo esta mas que visto y eso pesa mucho. Tambien es pobre en ideas y tiene un "gunplay" y unas fisicas de conduccion impropias del 2022.
    Otro problema es su tematica infantil y poco trabajada, falta mala leche, falta    Los mayores problemas son, su precio (70 Euros) y su nombre. De haber salido a 35 Euros y con otro titulo no se le puntuaria tan bajo.
    El titulo es antiguo en mecanicas, todo esta mas que visto y eso pesa mucho. Tambien es pobre en ideas y tiene un "gunplay" y unas fisicas de conduccion impropias del 2022.

    Otro problema es su tematica infantil y poco trabajada, falta mala leche, falta sexo y su editor de personajes cojea en cuanto a fisico y caras.

    This game is quite enjoyable it's sad I have to give it a zero. The game crashes and just doesn't want to start on PC. You then run into game breaking bugs, and for that reason it gets a 0 from me. If there was nothing game breaking at all I wouldn't be giving it a zero.

    The story is pretty good nothing really groundbreaking but kept my interest with the biggest downside being it is a bit short compared to the other games. The game is definitely aware of how corny some it's characters are and pokes fun at them pretty regularly. Most of those moments are usually just used to set up later jokes. Like the student loan thing was pretty much just two throw away jokes in the very beginning of the game doesn't really come up again at all. Kevin whose part of the Idols is made fun of for being part of hypocritical anarchist cult multiple times. I really wouldn't say the game is woke or pc at all and seems to throw its punches at everyone it just doesn't really punch all that hard. Kind of like a Ubisoft game.

    Gameplay wise its Saints Row 3 with a few improvements and different side activities which are all pretty fun. Not driving around with a tiger but still enjoyable. Upside is you don't have to do the side stuff to progress the story like in 3. Downside is they do get kind of repetitive but no worse than the third one.

    Art wise the game is really pretty and the city is visually interesting making it really interesting to explore and see the landmarks. Even the load screen art is really awesome with some amazing graffiti pieces. The city definitely has far more character to it than Steelport but it doesn't have much intractability so it mostly just serves as backdrop to blow **** up in.

    It's definitely buggy but so far I havent run into anything game breaking and some of them have been pretty fun tbh. Kind of like a bethesda game.

    Overall I can see why people are disappointed as it really is just Saints Row 3.5 but it doesn't really deserve the thrashing its being given. I'd say if liked the third one you'll like this one but I can also totally understand someone waiting till its like 40 bucks.    … Expand

The graphics legitimately look like a late-stage PS3 game from 2013, the character customization is crap compared to even Saints Row 1. The shooting is funky with bulletspongy enemies that are basically braindead when you fight them. The map, while admittedly prettier than Steelport from 3 and 4 still feels fairly generic and is extremely scarcely populated. The guns are meh. The physics are 300x worse than even SR1, they might as well not exist. The driving physics are worse than GTA VC. But nothing beats the story and dialogue. I am not going to go in depth because I feel enough has been already said, but it's bad. Really bad. Let's just sum it up by what someone on the internet said before: "I admire Volition for their dedication in keeping their artistic vision of making the most 2018 game possible". The characters do not feel like gangsters at all, and the entire thing feels like it was written by a 45 year old white woman who surfed through Twitter for 2 hours.

    The main issue is there are still a handful of bugs and performance issues. Some people might be able to get it to run smoothly. I almost did, but there was just too many occasional stutters for me to ignore. I'll come back and reevaluate the game after a patch or two.

    Game is great don’t believe all the hate out there! Co op is tons of fun and gameplay is tons of fun. Haven’t experienced that many bugs either. AI is weak that’s for sure but the game is FUN that’s the point I think in the end.

Alright, so I’ve put about 20 hours into the game and I’ve completed the main story and have done quite a bit of side activities, I can say I absolutely love the game, the customization is through the roof, Gun combat is a little funky but you get used to it, the story is definitely the worst part of the game though, very lackluster and boring, it doesn’t really get exciting until the final mission, but otherwise it’s a wonderful game, I’m still working on side activities but I truly think besides the story, this is the best Saints Row Game to date.… Expand

    Ignore the metabombing reviews, this game as is is roughly a 5/10 which is basically 'average'. It would be a lot better if the game had more time in the oven because the game is significantly buggy, for me personally its crashed multiple times, I've had T posing characters, unable to attack bugs or unable to take photos for collectables.

    So what is Saints Row? This is a reboot/remake of the original so gone are the famous characters of the original and replaced with new characters, the jury is out on how these develop but so far for me, don't seem nearly as memorable as the old crew.

    Graphics, even playing on DX12 on a high end rig...the graphics are dated and whilst playable it doesn't innovate at all, in fact I'd almost say the graphics are a downgrade from the later SR games. Sound is buggy with music sometimes not playing, or sound effects not playing but when it works it once again, is just okay.

    Gameplay is a problem, they literally choose the Ubi Soft route by cramming in as many collectables, mini-games, discovery points and things to collect that it heavily distracts from the main story, the issue is that to gain territory you must complete most of these. Gameplay is buggy too, I've had main missions completely bug out and force to either restart the mission or restart the entire game in order to progress, aiming is a huge problem especially riding on car roofs where it seems massively off making it really difficult to complete some of the sub objectives, the aiming needs a complete rework.

    Character creation is great, much better than the previous games but the clothing often bugs out resetting your clothing options constantly but otherwise has plenty of character options to make interesting or unique characters.    … Expand

It's basically a polished arcade game with a bad story and an open world with unused potential, just to justify the price tag. I've read the story is around 15 hours, although I won't make it that far - too boring game play, frustrating bugs and repetitive side activities.

    But there are some good things, that may bring some people to like this game, i.e. the nice tuning options near GTA standards, the good character editor with the option to share characters or even the pretty nice graphics with the setting in Mexico. I mean this game can be fun for a lot of people but it doesn't feel like a AAA title from 2022.    … Expand

    This game is fun, I haven't encountered any serious bugs yet and I've put at least 10 hours into it. I wasn't expecting this game to be RDR2 in terms of story, so I'm happy with this. If you don't take everything so seriously, you can have a great time.

The only issue I've had running the game is a known bug for the EGS store not giving permissions so I can only falt the game for being exclusive to a crap store on that front.… Expand

This game is the definition of wasted potential. I don't know if it was the lack of time, or lack funds, (both of which is visible) but this game deserved better.

It is pretty much what itI don't understand what people were expecting from this game.. sure, there's a few key features/mechanics from previous games missing (human shields, running takedowns, etc), a heartless story with forgetable characters that make you cringe harder with every line and some bugs, but it's fun!     This game is a ton of fun, it need a couple hours to really unfold but i don’t regret trying it.
    If you liked sr3, i don’t see how you could not like this one.

    Игра на крепкую семерочку. В целом сойдет поиграть. Хейтеров не очень понимаю. Поиграйте сначала, а потом уже оценки ставьте. Разработчики тоже хороши. Могли бы и навстречу игрокам пойти, а не вот это вот.

    It's fun. Not perfect. Plays a lot like 3 but with some newer mechanics. Love the gliding. Gunplay feels so much better than 1-4. Mechanic, Nerd, Crazy One, and then your character who can literally be whatever you make them. Vehicle customization is better than ever. Guns are alright but are also fully customizable which makes up for the variety. The city/map is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail and cultural influences are spot on. In no way does the city feel lifeless. A lot of returning radio stations, great soundtrack when causing chaos.

    All in all, it's a good game and a great saints row. Don't get up with what is considered woke or generational and just enjoy the mayhem and comedy.    … Expand

    A totally unnecessary reboot. Not to say the game isn't fun. It is. Again, it's pure escapism that exists just so you can fool around with a bunch of weapons and vehicles and not have to think about it. The problem is that previous installments have done the same thing - and infinitely better. [Issue#322]

    There’s a weight of history behind Saints Row, and no matter whether you’re comparing it to the more serious early games or the sillier later ones, it’s pretty clear that the Saints Row reboot doesn’t live up to any of them.

    A newcomer would be shocked by crude animations, wonky physics and bad gunplay. Fans of the franchise are kinda used to that, but they’ll be disappointed for another reason: while Saints Row 2022 does have a few fun moments, most of them are blatantly ripped from previous games of the series.
