    This game is quite enjoyable it's sad I have to give it a zero. The game crashes and just doesn't want to start on PC. You then run into game breaking bugs, and for that reason it gets a 0 from me. If there was nothing game breaking at all I wouldn't be giving it a zero.

    Terrible. Games this buggy and bland shouldn’t be released in 2022. They had plenty of pre-order bonuses and incentives though to try shift this Turkey. As a lover of the old Saints Row, please let this franchise die.

    Both gameplay and story are unimpressive. You can cut off 1/2 of the plot without losing product quality. Says a lot, doesn't it? Characters are flat. It's like they came out of some modern show.     Characters are flat. It's like they came out of some modern show. But even in the TV shows, the characters develop over the course of the story. The characters in SR Reboot received almost no development, except for the Boss.

    Open-world is generic. Shooting is meh. The only good mission is the last one.

    Simply put, Saints Row 2022 would have been a nice Netflix series about teenagers solving their problems by meaningless violence, but Volition missed the part where it was a Game about you "Becoming your own Boss".

    The game still has potential because it's never too late to make SR at least playable with huge patches, reworks and DLCs. Take Cyberpunk 2077 as an example.    … Expand

    So my wife and I are massive Saints Row fans, and it honestly hurts me to give the game this score. That being said, the release and marketing of this game have been pretty unacceptable, and the developers have torched a decade of goodwill that's going to be hard to get back. Gonna go point by point here to make sure I don't miss anything. I'm reviewing this from a purely co-op buyer'sSo my wife and I are massive Saints Row fans, and it honestly hurts me to give the game this score. That being said, the release and marketing of this game have been pretty unacceptable, and the developers have torched a decade of goodwill that's going to be hard to get back. Gonna go point by point here to make sure I don't miss anything. I'm reviewing this from a purely co-op buyer's experience.
    1) EGS Exclusive. It's a real slap in the face that you released the game as an EGS exclusive with the Steam API dll in the installation folder, and listed as a platform on the bug ticket page. No one wants this other than you. Stop it.
    2) Co-op is an absolute **** mess. My wife and I play this together, and 5 hours of playtime has actually been about 2 hours of gameplay due to the absolute state of online. Desyncs, crashes, and mission breaking bugs are the norm. We have been really excited for this for over a year and the absolute unplayable state of the co-op is appalling. We can no longer even play together. Online just stopped working after we completed our last mission together.
    3) Non-game breaking, but annoying bugs are everywhere. From cosmetic resets, to falling through terrain, to cars getting bounced every where, if you touch it, it's likely to break. It does create some funny moments, but after a while the comedy wears off and all you're left with is a janky product that honestly feels like its systems are working against you most of the time.

    It's really frustrating. There is a good game here. Unfortunately, Deep Silver seems more intent on torching any chance this reboot has of being accepted, let alone loved, than delivering on a polished project and fluid experience. The good news is that most of these issues are fixable. The bad news is that I doubt I'll know for a bit. If EGS grants my wife and I refunds, we'll catch it next year on Steam.    … Expand

    Buggy, boring gunplay, plot and characters, game feels like was made for ps3, objects popping out in two meters in front of pc, terrible lod's. You simply don't want to play this game, it's unattractive af.

After watching countless reviews and seeing the cringeworthy dialogue first hand. I have requested a refund for the game. If you have bought this game, you should go and request a refund.     I have never un-installed a game without trying to finish a game before, but this is a first for me. This game is so unbelievably trash and repetitive, that i am surprised how this thing even got the green-light for release. The amount of bugs and glitches (which patches have done jack **** to fix) on launch day, makes Cyberpunk 2077 look like a polished diamond. And even i finished Cyberpunk from start to end, and actually enjoyed it. The dialogue and humor are so lame and cringe, that i wanted to skip every cut-scene, just to not sit through that again. The missions are as repetitive as Mafia 3, which says a lot. Even the graphics are sub-par for a game released in 2022. I literally created an account on this site, just to express my disappointment and hatred for this dung-heap of a game. But also the dung-heap of a studio, that can't even listen to constructive criticism from their own fan base. In conclusion, this is literally the worst modern video game, i have ever played. To slap the label of Saint's Row on this **** was nothing more than a marketing strategy to attract old fans, because this felt nothing like the previous games. And for the dick-riders that ardently defend this game and the studio: Go and Pre-Order the DLC's coming, so that Volition can see what a good obedient little gamer you are. Maybe they'll even throw in some custom skins :)… Expand

    I've never been a fan of the previous parts. They're too clownish, unsightly and cheap, like they were made by a 12-year-old mod maker. But this part is above the others. Apparently even the developers didn't understand what they made this game for.

You will see pack of woke tight pants **** It is not even about being buggy, all can be fixed by patches. But if characters in game are whining about the carbon mark?! It feels absolutely nothing like the saints row games at all to make this all so much more insulting. If you cringe wokesters wanted to go make a game like this that would have been one thing but why did they have to destroy the saints row franchise with these terrible ideas.     Awful game, feels like epic games had some real influence on this title since it's a **** games exclusive. Saint's row has turned in to a fortnite cringy story with the target audience of homosexual 12 year olds.
    Game is riddled with bugs, gunplay is horrible and the map couldn't be emptier. Just go and play Saints row the third and compare it to this pile of garbage.

I spent an hour and a half trying to get the game to work. Don’t even think about trying to play coop with a friend. To even offer versions of this game that are $100 is an insult. This was tested on 2 machinesWent in with 0 expectations and was still somehow disappointed. Couldn’t get farther than 30 seconds into the game.     Horribly unfinished, bewilderingly outdated and lacks any appeal. Outside of being a bug ridden and horrendously underbaked game, it is still the worst game in a franchise that spans 16 years.

    And just to add insult to injury, the game's optimization is some of the worst in recent memory.

    There is not much left from the og saints row series for the fans.
    I feel robbed. Bought it for full price. This game would be still insulting if it were free..

    A totally unnecessary reboot. Not to say the game isn't fun. It is. Again, it's pure escapism that exists just so you can fool around with a bunch of weapons and vehicles and not have to think about it. The problem is that previous installments have done the same thing - and infinitely better. [Issue#322]

    There’s a weight of history behind Saints Row, and no matter whether you’re comparing it to the more serious early games or the sillier later ones, it’s pretty clear that the Saints Row reboot doesn’t live up to any of them.

    A newcomer would be shocked by crude animations, wonky physics and bad gunplay. Fans of the franchise are kinda used to that, but they’ll be disappointed for another reason: while Saints Row 2022 does have a few fun moments, most of them are blatantly ripped from previous games of the series.
