    What happens when you combine uninspired storytelling, questionable design decisions, game-breaking bugs, and stale gameplay? Saints Row 2022. It's a chore of a game from start to finish, with no compelling plot to spur you along or really intriguing gameplay loots to master. You go to one spot, engage in wonky shooting (difficult to aim with a gamepad), listen to your lame companions,What happens when you combine uninspired storytelling, questionable design decisions, game-breaking bugs, and stale gameplay? It MIGHT be worth it when the price drops to $20 or less and you want something mindless to kill time, but otherwise, stay far, far away. Not worth the price of admission.
    If I had to list a couple of positives, it ran well on my rig (AMD 5900X, 3070 Ti, 32GB 3200Mhz RAM) and the car radio had a couple of interesting songs. Really underwhelming game; should have been a budget title in a new universe, not a Saints Row Game.    … Expand

    Have about 10hrs in the game and its what I expect a saints row game to be. I personally like the humor and the characters. The people saying the game is "woke" I doubt played much of the game or have a different understanding of what woke is. As a 25 year old who was probably a bit on the young side when I played the first saints row I find the new one to be a good way to bring the characters up to date. That being said the shooting could be better and those who complain that the world is a bit lacking in activitys aren't worng compared to new games but I like it, it actually makes the game feel like you can 100% it and it not waste your time. The only issue I've had running the game is a known bug for the EGS store not giving permissions so I can only falt the game for being exclusive to a crap store on that front.… Expand

    Don't do this yourself. Just don't. Please. I beg you. It isn't worth it. There is no type of excitement nor originality anywhere near this game, even the launcher forbids you to stop as a warning to not progress further. I had to start the launcher a handful of times to start a $60 game....that is absurd.

    What a waste.

Knowing how rich on unique qualities (game mechanics/activities, writing, tone, etc...) the Saints Row franchise used to be, this is an utter insult. An insult to the franchise, an insult to gaming and entertainment inBland, boring, annoying, outdated, broken, and in some aspects - downright unfinished.     The game feels outdated, and I'm not just talking about the graphics. Boring characters, story and missions. The city is lifeless (saints row 3&4 definitely had more effort put in their cities). I guess it can be fun if you like brainless open world games but if you want something different and good this is not it.

    Los mayores problemas son, su precio (70 Euros) y su nombre. De haber salido a 35 Euros y con otro titulo no se le puntuaria tan bajo.
    El titulo es antiguo en mecanicas, todo esta mas que visto y eso pesa mucho. Tambien es pobre en ideas y tiene un "gunplay" y unas fisicas de conduccion impropias del 2022.

    This aint it volition. This version of saints row leaves behind what made the original games so much fun to play. No more offensive, yet funny humor and wacky story missions, with over-the-top memorable characters that the original games reveled in. I can't remember any of the new characters names, but I remember Shaundi, Gat, Pierce, Kenzi, Oleg, Angel, Professor Genki, The Deckers, TheThis aint it volition. This version of saints row leaves behind what made the original games so much fun to play. I can't remember any of the new characters names, but I remember Shaundi, Gat, Pierce, Kenzi, Oleg, Angel, Professor Genki, The Deckers, The Zynn. The Syndicate. Not the Generic, car-loving, musclehead panteros that just feel like discount brotherhood from SR2.

    Santa Illeso is a bland, boring, empty open world, while fun to explore at first, offers nothing to find but a few collectables of pointless value. The mission structure feels way too repetitive, you can no longer buy businesses or take over districts one section at a time. All the clothing for customization is littered all over the map with way too many individual vendors. Want a cool cape? You have to drive all the way into the mountains to buy it from a guy that sells that and gloves, cool. Bugs were minor and frequent but never game breaking for me, and after about 5 hours I had no desire to play this "new" saints row anymore.

    Gun combat is way too clunky for a 2022 game. The camera snap feature on all different settings made me want to just quit. Enemies will charge you while you're fine aiming so you have no option but to get animation locked when hit while you try to back away, but cant so you stumble around and get shot at by the others. Guns would constantly be un-loaded when I'd swap to them, and my character would often times get stuck reloading over and over again.

    The features of placing specific building for empire planning and being able to customize anywhere are really cool, and I wish I had these options in the previous games to make it feel like I was running a real criminal enterprise.

    When Saints Row does GTA it never works, but when Saints Row does Saints Row, its always great. This is just another open world clone with no substance and forgettable content.

    All in all, it's an okay open world game, and a bad "Saints Row" game.    … Expand

    This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. I will admit there are some fun parts in this game and the graphics are pretty decent, but the fun wears off quickly and you're left with a boring and repetitive game. Instead of a brand new game, it feels like some sort of SR3 DLC or what SR4 should’ve been instead of that president,This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. It's also been very clear since the reveal trailer that this game is made for younger kids of this generation, it's obvious Volition and Deep Silver don't care about old SR fans. They would rather pander to kids who have never played a Saints Row game in their life than the actual long time fans. Volition had a great opportunity here to capitalize on the open world, third person shooter market with the absence of Rockstar over the past 9 years, but they would rather dumb down their games so that 13 year olds who enjoy Fortnite can hop on this game and have fun. We told them from the start, "this is not what we want" "this looks terrible" "bring back the old saints" and all they could do is call us haters, well as it turns out the fans and consumers of the product were right yet again. I hope that Volition & Deep Silver will one day realize that they messed up bad with this game and the 3 before it just because they outright refuse to listen to their fans. I would like to see them publicly apologize for this poor excuse of a "Saints Row" game, but that will never happen, they will never admit that they were wrong, even if this was the final nail in the coffin for their already downward spiraling company. This is not Saints Row it only has the name because they knew it would sell decent numbers and make them some money. If you are a true fan of Saints Row, save your money.     It's fun. Not perfect. Plays a lot like 3 but with some newer mechanics. Love the gliding. Gunplay feels so much better than 1-4. Mechanic, Nerd, Crazy One, and then your character who can literally be whatever you make them. Vehicle customization is better than ever. Guns are alright but are also fully customizable which makes up for the variety. The city/map is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail and cultural influences are spot on. In no way does the city feel lifeless. A lot of returning radio stations, great soundtrack when causing chaos.

    All in all, it's a good game and a great saints row. Don't get up with what is considered woke or generational and just enjoy the mayhem and comedy.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm from Russia. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy the game because of the sanctions, I had to download it. Yes, the characters in the plot, with the exception of the main character, are simply TERRIBLE. But the game is very interesting, in terms of the mechanics of shooting battles and a lot of variety that opens up over time. Pathetic people play it for 1 hour, under the influence of a herd feeling they put 0 out of 10. I really liked the game, compared it automatically with Far Cry 5. Saints Row is better at times, respect for a fun game, this is a 100% step forward in terms of gameplay.… Expand

    Almost everything you can imagine in this game, is sub par or broken in some way. This game feels, sounds, and performs worse than any game I've ever played on launch, including others like cyberpunk and no man's sky.

    This game feels like fortnite made a saints row add on, that was broken and on rails.

    These are not the saints that I liked, the plot is disgusting, the gameplay is average, there are a lot of bugs, and more bugs, the graphics are hello from 2014, the only thing I liked was the character editor, and there are no interesting characters that you follow throughout games. It's a disgusting reboot of the Saint series of games.

    This game is quite enjoyable it's sad I have to give it a zero. The game crashes and just doesn't want to start on PC. You then run into game breaking bugs, and for that reason it gets a 0 from me. If there was nothing game breaking at all I wouldn't be giving it a zero.

    This game is a stain on the saints row franchise, hell I had more fun playing gat out of hell and that game is a trainwreck but with this I just couldn't the cringey writing is just too much, the story was just...god no, the gameplay was very boring especially with the broken AI and the bugs made it even more of an annoyance.

    Those defending this game are on so much copium that it may rival that of Cyberpunk fanboys. This game is filled with issues that simply cannot be ignored. The bugs being the largest issue followed by gameplay and then the crappy activities it forces you to do to continue the main story.

    This game needs a lot of work before anyone gives it a high review. It has far too many bugs which is a real issue. The story is quite boring and the gameplay is meh. I recommend waiting on this one guys.

    But it is better to compare it with Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2, especially with Watch Dogs Legion, where more and more game mechanics, features and details were cut out with each part.
    Here even cars are not bricks on wheels and not pinned in the middle on a pin.

    Or you can compare it to Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3, although they have nothing to do with it. But do you understand what I mean?

    Sleeping dogs

    Maybe a couple more of these games.

    The GTA level can only be reached by GTA and then, the big question is whether she will be able to do it with the 6th part. (and will she come out at all?)

    Definitely worth taking, that's just confused by the price, this game is clearly not at the level of $ 60, but thank you for not $ 70

    It's a mess. I've played through it and the bugs are abysmal, some are minor visual, but some are legit game breaking, like a mission where the enemy npc that was supposed to chase me just didn't. The graphics legitimately look like a late-stage PS3 game from 2013, the character customization is crap compared to even Saints Row 1. The shooting is funky with bulletspongy enemies that are basically braindead when you fight them. The map, while admittedly prettier than Steelport from 3 and 4 still feels fairly generic and is extremely scarcely populated. The guns are meh. The physics are 300x worse than even SR1, they might as well not exist. The driving physics are worse than GTA VC. But nothing beats the story and dialogue. I am not going to go in depth because I feel enough has been already said, but it's bad. Really bad. Let's just sum it up by what someone on the internet said before: "I admire Volition for their dedication in keeping their artistic vision of making the most 2018 game possible". The characters do not feel like gangsters at all, and the entire thing feels like it was written by a 45 year old white woman who surfed through Twitter for 2 hours.
    Do not buy this game, or at least not at its retail price.    … Expand

Alright, so I’ve put about 20 hours into the game and I’ve completed the main story and have done quite a bit of side activities, I can say I absolutely love the game, the customization is through the roof, Gun combat is a little funky but you get used to it, the story is definitely the worst part of the game though, very lackluster and boring, it doesn’t really get exciting until the final mission, but otherwise it’s a wonderful game, I’m still working on side activities but I truly think besides the story, this is the best Saints Row Game to date.… Expand

    I had to make a **** metacritic account for this **** game, i loved the orignal games, very nostalgic for me but this game both filled with game breaking bugs and awful writing and voice acting seems like it wasnt even finished when they released the game other than a couple engine assets.     This game is fun, I haven't encountered any serious bugs yet and I've put at least 10 hours into it. I wasn't expecting this game to be RDR2 in terms of story, so I'm happy with this. If you don't take everything so seriously, you can have a great time.

    This game man, I really wanted to like it but oh my lord, so many bugs and just down right horrendous characters make it so bad. If future updates improve its current situation i'll up my score but for now it stays a 0.

    A totally unnecessary reboot. Not to say the game isn't fun. It is. Again, it's pure escapism that exists just so you can fool around with a bunch of weapons and vehicles and not have to think about it. The problem is that previous installments have done the same thing - and infinitely better. [Issue#322]

    There’s a weight of history behind Saints Row, and no matter whether you’re comparing it to the more serious early games or the sillier later ones, it’s pretty clear that the Saints Row reboot doesn’t live up to any of them.

    A newcomer would be shocked by crude animations, wonky physics and bad gunplay. Fans of the franchise are kinda used to that, but they’ll be disappointed for another reason: while Saints Row 2022 does have a few fun moments, most of them are blatantly ripped from previous games of the series.
