    This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. I will admit there are some fun parts in this game and the graphics are pretty decent, but the fun wears off quickly and you're left with a boring and repetitive game. Instead of a brand new game, it feels like some sort of SR3 DLC or what SR4 should’ve been instead of that president,This game is bad, like really bad, maybe not the worst game ever, but honestly it's not that far off. I will admit there are some fun parts in this game and the graphics are pretty decent, but the fun wears off quickly and you're left with a boring and repetitive game. Instead of a brand new game, it feels like some sort of SR3 DLC or what SR4 should’ve been instead of that president, alien and superhero abomination that was put out. If this was released in 2013 It maybe would’ve been exciting, but in 2022 it's a mediocre game with mediocre voice acting, cringe dialog, mediocre characters, boring and repetitive combat, a plethora of bugs (many game breaking ones) and the same animations and engine Volition has been using for over 10 years. It's also been very clear since the reveal trailer that this game is made for younger kids of this generation, it's obvious Volition and Deep Silver don't care about old SR fans. They would rather pander to kids who have never played a Saints Row game in their life than the actual long time fans. Volition had a great opportunity here to capitalize on the open world, third person shooter market with the absence of Rockstar over the past 9 years, but they would rather dumb down their games so that 13 year olds who enjoy Fortnite can hop on this game and have fun. We told them from the start, "this is not what we want" "this looks terrible" "bring back the old saints" and all they could do is call us haters, well as it turns out the fans and consumers of the product were right yet again. I hope that Volition & Deep Silver will one day realize that they messed up bad with this game and the 3 before it just because they outright refuse to listen to their fans. I would like to see them publicly apologize for this poor excuse of a "Saints Row" game, but that will never happen, they will never admit that they were wrong, even if this was the final nail in the coffin for their already downward spiraling company. This is not Saints Row it only has the name because they knew it would sell decent numbers and make them some money. If you are a true fan of Saints Row, save your money.     It's every bit as bad as people expected it to be after seeing the cringe characters and clear political agendas..In a word it is boring ...On the bright side old Karen's like Anita Sarkesian finally have another game to play that wont offend them. Unfortunately for Volition Karens only complian about games, they don't play them or BUY them, so hope they enjoy their flowing.

    This Game was a huge disappointment from even seeing the first trailer. I am huge fan of series with the 3rd one being my favorite. I don't know what happened at studio probably a lot of staff have left for some reason but the game does not feel the same at all.     I'm Saints Row fanboy. Day before launch I saw that critics are trashing this game. Despite that I decided that I'm gonna buy it and have fun. But I lost that fight. Game grabbed my by the throat and slammed me hard into the ground, repeatedly. It is stripped of everything that made it special and so fun in previous instalments.     How is it possible that the game that came out on the XBOX360/PS3 is still a thousand times better than the one we get now? I'm talking about Saints Row 2. The characters, the story, all of it was so much more fun.

    This game has worse controls then the old saints row. NO MULTI-PLAYER MODE.... Co-op is broken and can't be joined most of the time!

    I was a huge fan of saints row and blinged out ride game mode, protect the pimp, team death match.... This is a single player game only... With co-op that's broken... They did absolutely nothing new. I feel ripped off. Honestly not worth the money. If you do a fast turn with ebrake cops with dissappear instantly and so will your wanted level. The one time I got into a co-op match I got into one car and drove away my co-op partner could move because I went to far away from starting location. They just got locked could press any button.... I really hope saints row online gets release seperate to save this atrocity.. Or it could be the worst game of 2022. All the game play missions feel the same.... Run to location and kill someone.... Or run to a car and steal it and bring it back.... Nothing new nothing original... Npcs have hardly any ai intelligence... Like this is really bad guys... I wanted to love this game... I really did... And I paid $99 dollars for the top rated edition I should have known it would suck with all the different editions out...

    I wanted to play with my friends and make new friends, make out gang and customize our gang and take over over gangs... What happened to the fun of multi-player? Did devs decide we didn't need friends? Changed my rating to 0 because the more I think about it the more pissed off I get..    … Expand

    It doesn't get much worse than this. All the progress games have made over the last 20 years undone with this release. Makes me lose faith in the entire gaming industry after playing this for an hour. Please do not buy.

    Car physics worst in the entire series. Aiming worst in the entire series. Dialogues are new low level, literally amazing. Few basic bugs like game can't start without administrator approval needed to reinstall entire epic games to fix this. It get's 2 from me and not 0 cause the game actually has good songs on the radio stations and offers translation to my main language.

    game will drop to half gpu utilisation and half fps no matter what api you use after a cutscene or if you alt tabbed, if it happens, change any graphic settings that need apply, press apply and it will be fixed until next cutscene

    Not to mention buggy ai behaviour vehicles despawning out of nowhere and setimes there are no Peds or vehicles on game world.
    Coming to gameplay and side activities these are out dated and un interesting as **** like in most of business ventures you gotta go to X place and stear X car or go to X place and kill enemies and the game is just driving to a location and shoot people and mixed with cringe dialogues this is just tedious this game has nothing special or good and this takes chore like activities to a whole another lvl like to unlock a perk you need to complete challenges etc even all ubisoft games look better and interesting compared to this.

    Finishing off this review with any self-respecting developer should start refunding the game given the state this **** is in they are not even doing that. this game is not even worth pirating    … Expand

    Only positive about this game is that the devs have made Saint's Row 4 look better than ever with this dumpster fire.

    Literally just a poor man's GTA clone minus all the good stuff, would've been average perhaps as a stand-alone game if it come out ten years ago, but now it is insulting to be called a "Saint's Row" game and insulting for a AAA company to release this in 2022.

    There are about 10 missions in the whole game... You go straight for the other "gangs" and end them after creating the saints... yeah... pathetic excuse for a game and anyone who thought this would be an amazing game while working on it should get out of game development, 80 dollar price tag for a mobile game at most, might as well just throw in ads after every few steps

The game is truly ruined by "The Room" styled writing, repetitive missions (turret missions, shoot enemies in a car, defeat two waves of enemies before doing turret missions or shooting enemies in a moving car), tons of bugs, crashes, an empty open world, and more. The city is so empty, it makes Need for Speed Undercover's Tri-City Bay look like a lively world; and that says something. No seriously, watch videos of NFS Undercover and compare the world to Saints Row 2022.

    It's not about "GeT WoKe Go BrOkE!!!" or Epic exclusivity. If this game had GTA level humor, this game would still be awful. If it was available or even exclusive to Steam, the game would still be awful. Drop the politics and the platform wars for a second and call this game what it really is: An unfinished, buggy cash grab.    … Expand

You cannot make a good black humor game and be afraid to offend anyone - it is like trying to make an omelet without breaking any eggs.

    I've never been a fan of the previous parts. They're too clownish, unsightly and cheap, like they were made by a 12-year-old mod maker. But this part is above the others. Apparently even the developers didn't understand what they made this game for.

    Game looks like a ps3 game with somewhat ps4 textures with ray tracing. Girl voice actor 2 isn't even trying, animations are poor and rushed, plane in the intro sequence has no realizm/physics at all, just a bumpercar in the air, story is so far boring and cliche, gameplay is boring and not even enjoyable, and controls are annoying.

    Los mayores problemas son, su precio (70 Euros) y su nombre. De haber salido a 35 Euros y con otro titulo no se le puntuaria tan bajo.
    El titulo es antiguo en mecanicas, todo esta mas que visto y eso pesa mucho. Tambien es pobre en ideas y tiene un "gunplay" y unas fisicas de conduccion impropias del 2022.
    Otro problema es su tematica infantil y poco trabajada, falta mala leche, falta    Los mayores problemas son, su precio (70 Euros) y su nombre. De haber salido a 35 Euros y con otro titulo no se le puntuaria tan bajo.

    This game is quite enjoyable it's sad I have to give it a zero. The game crashes and just doesn't want to start on PC. You then run into game breaking bugs, and for that reason it gets a 0 from me. If there was nothing game breaking at all I wouldn't be giving it a zero.

    Characters are flat. It's like they came out of some modern show. But even in the TV shows, the characters develop over the course of the story. The characters in SR Reboot received almost no development, except for the Boss.

    Open-world is generic. Shooting is meh. The only good mission is the last one.

    Simply put, Saints Row 2022 would have been a nice Netflix series about teenagers solving their problems by meaningless violence, but Volition missed the part where it was a Game about you "Becoming your own Boss".

    The game still has potential because it's never too late to make SR at least playable with huge patches, reworks and DLCs. Take Cyberpunk 2077 as an example.    … Expand

    I got this game for free thanks to AMD. I wouldn't spend more than 20 euro for it, at least at the moment.

    Firstly because the game has a lot of bugs, i.e. you get undressed and completely unequipped after restarting it sometimes. Or it happens you get messed up by the really weird arcade like physics and fly around like a football just because someone hit you with a melee weapon.    I got this game for free thanks to AMD. I wouldn't spend more than 20 euro for it, at least at the moment.

    Firstly because the game has a lot of bugs, i.e. you get undressed and completely unequipped after restarting it sometimes. Or it happens you get messed up by the really weird arcade like physics and fly around like a football just because someone hit you with a melee weapon.
    Secondly the game feels like an outdated game from around 2015 even if you ignore the fact that it is really bugged. That is because the voice acting and animations are cheap, the plot is weak and overall the world feels dead. It's basically a polished arcade game with a bad story and an open world with unused potential, just to justify the price tag. I've read the story is around 15 hours, although I won't make it that far - too boring game play, frustrating bugs and repetitive side activities.

    But there are some good things, that may bring some people to like this game, i.e. the nice tuning options near GTA standards, the good character editor with the option to share characters or even the pretty nice graphics with the setting in Mexico. I mean this game can be fun for a lot of people but it doesn't feel like a AAA title from 2022.    … Expand

    Game looks ugly compared to literally everything else coming before AND after it. Every mechanic you find is just better in other games, we're talking Just Cause 2.
    Mechanically speaking it's a very subtle improvement from SRTT. Melee though, is flawed.

    I can't understand why, and yeah, dismiss any review as a bigoted one, but they went with characters only "relatable" to the 0.1% of liberal college students.
    I can't understand FOR THE LIFE OF ME why the characters are so massively unappealing but EVERYONE who has played all the Saints Row games recently knows this might as well had been a spin-off, why they went with these lunatics instead of gangstas is beyond anyone's guess.

    So yeah. Call me an offended right winger but I'd rather play SR2 a dozen times than this mess. It's buggy, a dissapointed and a betrayal of an actual legendary saga, specially when they could have EASILY dethroned GTA if they had made it any appealing and improved anything instead of bugging everything that wasn't bugged.

    As an Embracer Group shareholder I am beyond dissapointed and I expect them, from now on, to do REAL QA and not just "yeah ship this, it's 'good enough'" because this game was anything except even "Good enough".    … Expand

To give you an idea of how awful it is - I saw that new DLC had been released so I started reinstalling the game. Halfway through the install, I decided that I couldn't be bothered wasting another minute playing such a bland, unenjoyable mess, so I just deleted it. The original Volition crew couldn't have made this.. No way. This is like an 8 year old wrote everything, but even 8 year olds have more imagination.

    It's telling that the cowardly sack of excrement releasing sales figures won't give an answer about how many copies this game has sold. More importantly, it's been admitted to be a flop and I'd honestly be surprised if it broke even. The other games were good and funny. Having to listen to some dip****s complain about student loans, THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SIGNED FOR, makes the admission that they are complete and total morons unsurprising.     As a huge fan of SR2, III and IV, I have to admire this game is so terrible that I dropped it after 2 hours (wanted to do it earlier but franchise had a very nice credit of trust). Some of the previous parts were so ahead of time and addictive af, this one feels like a fanmade stuff from 2004 or smth (in a terrible way).

    With time and most bugs fixed, it could be a half decent game (5 out of 10 if bought at 60% off) if they had given it another name. The game doesn't look like the original and looks terrible when compared.

    I have a lot of lags and bugs on 3060ti. at the end of the game missions are very boring, the storyline is interesting but at the end too, especially stop watching him. If you make a normal optimization game will be more less.

    They did it again !! They somehow managed to destroy everything people loved about the Saints Row franchise in an attempt to force their woke messages through to the players. The characters were bland with no personality, the dialogue was outrageous and the plot was outright terrible.

Most of the open world was barren and empty, driving similarly was also pretty bad and other gameplay mechanics like melee and shooting were severely unpolished.

    The soundtrack was decent to good for the most part. The character creation suite was the most enjoyable part of the whole game for me, which in itself says a lot about this game.

    All in all Saints Row is most definitely in contention for the worst AAA game of 2022. It also does not help when the community manager for the game cannot take any valid criticism from the fans and proceeds to label anyone who disagrees with her about the characters, 'sexists' and also calls the longtime fans of the franchise 'terrorists' and wants them to not support the franchise anymore.    … Expand

    The game lacks a lot of the sharpness and charm of the originals and replaces it with awful game breaking glitches, not the fun kind that can be found in the previous games but the kind that make you sigh and realise the whole thing is a scam. The characters are truly vomit inducing as well.

    The story is abusive to the legacy of the series, the characters are repugnant, the gameplay is the worst ever, and nothing is fun at all.

    Game play is mediocre. Even after a full year after release buggy. Sky is different shades of Purple and blues?? and cars sounds non existent. Too bad because the first Saints Row ever was great. Time to let this series die out.

    A totally unnecessary reboot. Not to say the game isn't fun. It is. Again, it's pure escapism that exists just so you can fool around with a bunch of weapons and vehicles and not have to think about it. The problem is that previous installments have done the same thing - and infinitely better. [Issue#322]

    There’s a weight of history behind Saints Row, and no matter whether you’re comparing it to the more serious early games or the sillier later ones, it’s pretty clear that the Saints Row reboot doesn’t live up to any of them.

    A newcomer would be shocked by crude animations, wonky physics and bad gunplay. Fans of the franchise are kinda used to that, but they’ll be disappointed for another reason: while Saints Row 2022 does have a few fun moments, most of them are blatantly ripped from previous games of the series.
