    If you’re not very into management games, I could definitely see Project Highrise being an absolute bore as you wait for earnings to come in. I mean, you’re building a tower, not saving the world from aliens. But for fans of the genre or curious gamers, whether you’re playing through the games scenarios or in sandbox mode, this is one of the best management games to come out this year.

    For the curious and the creative, brimming with replay value, and fairly priced, Project Highrise is the game that SimTower should’ve been.

    Project Highrise is the kind of game that grabs a hold of players and doesn’t let go. Only once you’re in deep with a massive building do you begin to notice the cracks. There are undoubtedly numerous improvements that should be made — and likely will be in the coming weeks via patches — but even with some niggling complaints, it’s still incredibly challenging to put the darn thing down.

    The great art of Project Highrise is that you can foresee the needs of the people and their impact on your overall project. It’s great little sim game, and well worth picking up.

    Given an empty block and the freedom to do what you please, Project Highrise doesn’t quite reach the heights of SimTower.

    People are going to like it, because it achieves what it sets out to do and because it can yet be mined for greater efficiency of construction and weirder or more specialist designs, but right now I’m not expecting the break-out mega-success of a Factorio or Rimworld. It just doesn’t have the flex. Not yet, anyway, but the slick, compulsive, ever so slightly bland Project Highrise is certainly a strong foundation for the community to take it somewhere weirder and wilder.

    As someone who spent their childhood cutting their teeth on Sim Tower this game rocks... I can honestly say this is one of the first towerAs someone who spent their childhood cutting their teeth on Sim Tower this game rocks... I can honestly say this is one of the first tower games I've played that gave me the same excitement I felt as a kid. The developers are also very responsive on the steam forums.     Balancing the many (many) needs of your tenants, along with designing something aesthetically pleasing is deceptively difficult. It's true that there's not much variation between room types, but the workshop will soon sort that out.

    There's ALWAYS something wanting your attention and I've already been playing for a few hours and it feels like five minutes.

    There are lots of different types of offices, restaurants, shops and apartments to build, each influencing something near it in different ways.

    For example;

    One office wants greater variety in restaurants that serve dinner, you plop it down and the guy next to him starts to complain about the smell.

    Meanwhile, the restaurant complains because they can't empty their rubbish, so you pop a rubbish bin down; the guy near that starts to moan about the smell and next to the restaurant has become too noisy so one of your tenants demands a rent decrease.

    I love this sort of thing because it absorbs you for hours. I really love this game - I'm sure there's a perfect balance to be struck with placement but I'm yet to find it. I'm enjoying the search though!    … Full Review »

    kinda like sim tower but after so many years you would think there are more to these kind of games
