Good evening horror fans...tonight's terrifying nightmare-simulation is Step Hare Studio's Prognostic. The gameplay is more detective-basedGood evening horror fans...tonight's terrifying nightmare-simulation is Step Hare Studio's Prognostic. The gameplay is more detective-based than anything: a medium with a badge (if you will), using all kinds of rituals and tools to locate a slew of dirty suspects. Nevertheless, the game earns its horror-genre wings from a brooding, very dark, occult-like setting. Taking on the role of a medium, you live inside a dilapidated mansion of sorts, with no electricity. A lighter and candles (yes...magic candles), are your only means of light to see exactly where you are located. It is frustrating, at first, not being able to see five feet in front of you. But as you progress in the game, you will start making mistakes, (like not lighting an altar candle before doing a dowsing ritual), and the darkness will have you on the edge of your seat as the demons show up. The cases brought to you each chapter are very dark as well (child-murders and such), and add a sinister gloom to your melancholy workspace. My prognosis: definitely worth a play... but if you play alone, turn on a light. Expand
