    Everyone is hacking / cheating to ruin the experience for everyone else and the majority of them don't get banned. If all the cheaters were banned, half the playerbase would be banned. You can just do a quick google search and bam, tons of premium hacks available that you can buy, that don't run on your computer, the makers say, run a VPN and connect to our server, you'll never be banned.Everyone is hacking / cheating to ruin the experience for everyone else and the majority of them don't get banned. If all the cheaters were banned, half the playerbase would be banned. You can just do a quick google search and bam, tons of premium hacks available that you can buy, that don't run on your computer, the makers say, run a VPN and connect to our server, you'll never be banned. I believe them, and I'm disappointed in the incompetence of the game's anti-cheat. Every single match ends with, someone knowing exactly where I'm going to be and lining up a head-shot minutes in advance, because they see every player position on the damn map with their hack.     Как и любую другую он-лайн игру, портят читеры. Здесь они полным ходом набирают обороты. Игра хорошая, графика, все мне нравится. Только анти чит работает отвратительно! Уже в наглую на ютуб видео с читами выкладывают.

    It’s very quick to enter the map! That’s not laggy at all! The game offers different graphics and although I am using the highest graphics, the game is still running smooth. Alright, I am going to jump. I would like to land at school! I am sure there will be a lot of people so I could check whether the control is good. Let me pick up a SCAR. Oops, I was shot! Somebody behind me must have found me. I turn around and find him. “Bambam”, I killed him! The control is fine because the sensitivity is great. The game’s sound system is also awesome! It feels like I am in the battle, the sound of footsteps, bullets, and cars all make the game more exciting and real. I got 23rd out of 100 in the end. I think Mobile PUBG is really an interesting game and I’d like to play it in my free time!    … Expand

    This game has made very little progress in a years time...Aside from adding a poorly optimized map and a few items, PUBG continues to disappoint with a subpar tick-rate, constant FPS drops, and hackers in the majority of games I've played in recent weeks. A region lock on China would be nice...but Bluehole Entertainment does not seem to want to listen to its already depleted playbase.     Sehr kompetetiv, jedoch von Bugs übersäht und in den teilweise riesigen Patches werden Sachen eingeführt die niemand braucht. Die Grafik ist toll sowie auch der generelle Druck der auf einem Spieler lastet da man nie weiß ob man sicher ist.

    This game has way too much lag and server issues. It is updated often but I can't get past the fact that it's only popular because a bunch of streamers caught on to it. It's more of a fad game that will fade away and not be remembered. I ended up refunding this game after a few hours of playing.

    I see why people are annoyed at this game, but it easily beats fortnite. I almost never get any lag and I dont have many complaints at all.

    Just like Fortnite, the gameplay is very repetitive. I always feel like I;m playing the same thing over and over again. At least Fortnite is free, this was 30 bucks down the drain.

    Alright, so I've bought this game for 18$ (regional prices and all that), and by selling every lootcrate i get for three months, i got the whole price for the game back on my steam account. So I guess it is fun enough to keep me grinding for ingame coins to get lootcrates, and sometimes you die because of lag.

    Developers cashed out and are no where to be seen.. are you guys even working on the game anymore ? do not waste your money on it, they say out of early access ?? yet still full of lag, glitches and bugs.. makes for some funny YouTube videos but impossible to play - congrats .. cant wait for the next update that gets us.. absolutely no where.

    it's plagued with cheaters and bugs, it's poorly optimised and running on awful servers. And on top of all that, you spend more time looking for vehicles and chasing the play area boundary than actually fighting other players. I understand the need for the shrinking play area, but it's poorly executed and results in players dying just because they can't find a vehicle. Meanwhile the players lucky enough to be in the play area to start with can camp and pick off weakened players as they desperately try to stay in the game.    … Expand

    The concept is great.
    The atmosphere is amazing.
    The gun play is good enough.
    The bugs are rampant.
    There are hackers.
    The server tick rate is abysmal.
    Players get an advantage by playing on the lowest settings, no grass to hide in...

    In the end i still enjoyed myself, but if you're like me, pick this up on sale and only if you have friends to play with.

    Waste of time and money. Non stop lagging servers and it's full of cheating people taking advantage of third party software like zero recoil macros.
    Great idea worked out completely below average. Even an indy developer would be ashamed of such a poorly developed product.

First, lets look at the developer: A social justice warrior snowflake that cries about being bullied and then blames users as being racist because they inquire about region locks to keep out the Chinese hackers (which the game is infested with). Performance wise, you have a tic-rate of no more than 17 causing horrendous server performance because, guess what, they developed it on the Unreal 4 engine with too large of a player base for it to handle. That being said, Fortnite runs the same engine and same player numbers and is at least able to run a stable 18 tic rate. When I said 17, I meant you'll basically cross that threshold, re-cross it, and then cross it again in what will amount to a graph looking like the skyline of the Himalayan mountain range. Instability. But oh man, you finally got that one game that runs alright, and things are finally looking up! Oh but the loot crate hoarder from Asia with a 400ms ping speedhacks up to you, kills you with a recoil hack, and then speeds away with your loot. Even when your buddies shoot at him to avenge your death, the client-side only hit detection gives him the advantage with a high-ping and they can't hit him either. "Git good bro" is the SJW's recommendation. You report SpeedyHackerino to the SJW, and your report is looked at 5 months later, as you notice the email is finally sent to you notifying you of such. A 3 day ban is awarded, and SpeedyBingBing is back at it. Hardware bans are racist says the SJW as he laughs while shopping for a new **** on Amazon with your money, soon after coming over here to MetaCritic to pay for that artificial reviewer score of 85.
    I'll give this game one point for concept. I'll give it another for potential, and even another for the small glimpses of actual fun that can occur when you're not being plagued with server performance issues, hackers/cheaters, or hearing the developer run his mouth about how your opinions are morally wrong in between forging one-eyed purple headed warriors with his chocolate starfish.    … Expand

    The game is very good! But it can lag a lot. Also the idea of the game is fine. Another good thing is the new map that really makes the game a more out there game then some other game.

    This game was not that good. i found it to be just messy and just not fun. i think fortnite did a better job when it came to distinguishing itself and less buggy. I also found it was just not as good as people said

Also : the controls of this game are a DISASTER. It seems that they hired a lot of people to get good reviews, because it's really a worthless POS.     Game would be great if it didn't have so many server issues. Constant rubber-band, especially early into matches, frame-rate drop on the new maps. It just ruins the experience of what could otherwise have been a great game.

    Overall, its fun at first, but then you'll grow to quickly resent the game when you spend 15 minutes just picking up items just to die and do it again because of game engine problems.

    What's worse is that the developers have made it clear they arent focused on fixing any issues. They will not introduce region locking and the North American server is just all Chinese players which completely defeats the purpose of having a team game (can't communicate with any players). Also, lag favors the person lagging since hit registration etc is client side, so the same overseas people intentionally choosing a bad server for them will kill you before you can even see them on your screen. Besides this, the developers have already been forcing paid loot boxes down our throats before fixing ANY issues.

    To be honest i really dont like battle royal games, especially when its all up to chance. I mean, is it fair that you the "skilled" player get nothing but clothes and a fork while some other guy finds a tactical nuke in a god damn trash can? the answer should be clear for you. Either it being them getting **** over by people with max luck in fallout 4 because they found the best gun in the game, or them tea bagging there dead corpse. I dont see why they think they can sue anyone who makes a battle royal game. If that was the case then they wouldn't exist either. But hey, at least there not sueing a kid for cheating. Honestly if you like the game and already bought it good for you, if your just looking for a game to play with your friends that's cool, but if your looking for a good game then i think you should go some where else… Expand

There is so much downtime if you "play the game safe" that it makes me wonder why I'm playing. I realize the appeal for some, and in theory, the game is a great idea that is just poorly executed.

    If you have friends, you might have more fun than someone who plays alone. I was able to play with a couple of friends over the holidays and I actually enjoyed myself. Games either turn from hilarious clown fiestas or intense 4v4s. Playing with friends is the only reason why I'm giving this game a 4 which would have otherwise been lower.

    The graphics are another issue, which at first I thought was an indie game being developed by a few designers, but for this review, I checked my facts and it is actually being developed by a team of 70 people at this point. While the graphics are not terrible, but being that it is not 2018, the graphics fall far from the expectation tree. While other players don't blend into the environments like in the Call of Duty franchise, they certainly don't pop out and are easy to see. Some could argue this is done intentionally, but the map is already too large and I do not think it adds much of any strategy to the game.

    Overall I regret buying this game. I bought into the hype and this time it did not pay off. I'm shocked to see critiques raving about this game and while reading their reviews, I think to myself did I even play the same game? Like most games, your taste will weigh heavily on a million different things. I prefer Fortnite, it's free and the map is way smaller, giving you more action and a bigger scene of urgency.

    If I were to make any recommendations to improve the game itself, they would be to make a smaller map, change character models to pop out even just a little bit and reward different kinds of play styles (Though I'm not sure how you'd achieve this last one.) Maybe try and improve the graphics while we're at it (At least they're working on this one!)    … Expand

    Instead of focusing on what the people want, its always what the corporates think they need...

    I didn't understood the hype but I gave it a try anyway. Played it for a while and couldn't warp my head around it. It gets boring really fast and you just doing the same thing over and over again. There's no variety of things to do. It just feels like a mode, not a full game.

    All in all, PUBG is a fun game to play. It could do without the hackers, Chinese and weird damage values, but it is definitely worth getting if you have friends to play with. I am giving this game a negative review because of the fact that the developers are slow to fix issues even though they definitely have the funding to fix them. It could also do without an awful lead dev who will call his North American player base Xenophobes and defend cheaters for ridiculous reasons.    … Expand

    i must say , clearly the most of website Reviewers are not gamers , its not really deserves a 8/9/10 score , this is a good shooting game and of course its really fun with friends , but the poor optimization and a big amount of bugs and server lags and a lot of cheaters, i mean what are they doing with all that money , i hope they do something about these problems.

    Picked this game up after the very latest update and they fixed a lot of the major bugs and texture issues since its rocky early access release. This game is the absolute definition of tense and suspenseful as you try to scrape together scattered resources in the world to survive.     This game has a split personality, it swings wildly from being nothing but irritating and frustrating to being the most exciting game you have ever played.. My advice, play it with someone either in squads or in a duo with voice communication.. it it much better then going in solo..

    The only way to enjoy this game is with a team of friends in first person. You can play it in a team of randoms, but the average player is 9 years old so I wouldn't recommend it. With a team engagements are more tactical and someone from the team will always be able to spot an enemy team, so reflexes, aim and angle of engagement become important. It's also easier to find high power scopes and lvl 3 armor with 4 people looting, which are extremely important to survive, and the best strategy is being very aggressive. That's a good thing.

    Solo, it's a nightmare. Luck plays a bigger part while looting, and camping is the only viable option, due to the absolutely massive advantage of being able to hear anyone that sprints in like a 50 meter radious while being locked in a room 3 buildings away, which is complete nonsense. You just blow up anyone that gets too close, they have no chance, and the same will happen to you once you have to relocate. Every match ends with a faceoff between the people who randomly camped at the place closest to the last circle area and didn't have to relocate too much, where they just run into the last circle area, usually in a field somewhere, and the guy with the biggest scope on his Kar98 wins. It is a complete waste of time.

    So yeah, if you have a team of friends and can coordinate your play times, the game is worth picking up. Between servers lagging, different things breaking on different days due to how the servers are behaving that day, and people crashing randomly, you might eventually get a 20 minute match that is uninterrupted and smooth for everyone. That one match will be fun. In any other case, stay away from the game.    … Expand

    Don't believe the hype. It's a janky, messy game and I wish I'd bought it directly through Steam so I could refund it (which is what you should do if you want to try it).

    Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a very good game. Well-developed maps. There are lots of weapons and accessories. Boxes available within the game are worth half a euro. But there are bugs in it.

    Used to be very fun and exciting. Now the game freezes, lags, rubber-bands and has various other bugs you would expect from a beta version not a game that just rolled out from months of beta testing. The worst part is the cheating and hacking. There is so much of it that the game is no longer fun. Avoid this game. Will be uninstalling.

    PUBG has started on the right track of being a great game,with an okay new map,and extremely great QOL improvements, however it still has alot of fine tuning and gameplay improvements to make before I even consider it a good game.theres fun to be had in PUBG, however I only had said fun in squads with friends

    I'm holding back not giving this game a 10 cause I know I'm still flying high on early days.

    When a game ends, I'm getting into another, just cause I'm pretty close to unlock that something but beceause I just WANT MORE of it!

    Just like in CS, everyone starts with the same chances of winning, it relies on a couple of very simple facts like timing, reflexes and PUBG even add a little luck in it cause your initial scavengings can pretty much dictate how the game will go.

    That and the fact that the game mechanics allows for different gameplay types!
    I managed to get to the final 4 survivors, having only 1 kill.
    You CAN play camper a bit and no one would whine about it cause after a little while, you will be FORCED to move!

    I see a lot of people complaining about the need of more maps.
    Honestly? The maps are so damn HUGE that it's as if the only two maps in-game are worth 50 COD maps.
    The circle always shrinking to different random places makes the game feel "new" and fights taking places at different places.
    So far I don't feel like it's growing old despite there's only 2 maps.

    The fact that every game is different is a blast to me.
    As I said, I know that "passion" will fade a bit but I think that pretty much like CS, it'll be a game I'll keep installed and come back to every now and then!

    At 30$ you CAN'T go wrong with this as we've all paid full-fledged price for half-assed games before.

    It's fun and refreshing to grab a game where you can actually LEARN to get better instead of just leveling up / Getting drops / Perks to get OP.

    This game is OK. It feels and plays like a beta version. All of the assets appear to be from the unity store. The game is very poorly optimized and needs a decent bit of hardware to run well consistently.

    Much of the game play is avoiding other players which can be fun... if you ever run into any, the maps are WAY too large for how many people are on the map.

    This game still needs work. Why is it at times i can empty a clip into some ones head they turn around and hit me once and kill me. Sometimes its hard to pick up guns and other things i have to keep walking back and forth over them to pick them up. Lot of glitches in scenery and game play. And its not my PC its way more than good enough to play this or any game.

    1.0 is in a much better state than I expected 3 months ago, I've put nearly 300 hours into the game and while it does still have many problems it's extremely fun and rewarding, the highs always outweigh the lows. Once they fix the server rubber-band issue the game will feel quite nice to play as they've optimised the client a lot since beta and it now runs so much better.     If you're lucky enough that the game actually loads (or the menu for that matter), you will spend the first 10 minutes rubber banding around so badly that you might as well be playing on a 56k dial up modem. If you somehow survive to where the 16 tick rate server starts to recover, a hacker will find and kill you instantly, possibly through a wall.

    How is it acceptable that a competitive FPS game has so many bugs, glitches, poor servers and hackers? But the critics say it's wonderful - WTF?

    Don't waste your money on this garbage, if you must burn ~$30 go buy a brick and smash your head repeatedly, it's more fun.    … Expand

    Playerunknown's Battlegrounds may not be the first Battle Royale game, but it clearly revolutionised the genre. But that may be so, PUBG, even in its version 1.0, is still a game with numerous technical disasters and obvious lack of design and creativity.

    Fraudulent sale as is. Still poor optimization, laggy servers running on pentium 4, people forced to play poorly performed desert map 9/10 times, crashes, unable to get to lobby, rubber-banding, fps drops. It's still early alpha 0.1 version. Don't waste your time and money.

    It's flawed, but it's so exhilirating. With technical improvements and some more refined gunplay, this could be a fantastic game. I have a great PC, so it I rarely have performance issues, but I know that it's poorly optimized. It's mostly the technical that keeps this from being a 9/10.

The game is littered with cheaters but they have banned many of them so credit where credit is due.

    In conclusion, this game is fun, hell it's addicting as hell BUT lack of paying attention to game breaking bugs and them STILL being there in the 'released' out of early access version is horrid.     This most recent update has utterly broken the already tenuous netcode. It's so un-optimised it makes DayZ look polished.

    To top it all off it's just not fun to play. Run around hoping the RNG gives you some good loot and then die 20 mins later to someone you had no chance of spotting then do it all again.

    Do not buy.

    For those wondering, why is this so familiar?

    - Well, because the person behind this game is PLAYERUNKNOWN (as stated in the title of the game). It’s his standalone game. He first started his Battle Royale work in Arma 2/3 as Mods. Than Daybreak licensed Battle Royale gamemode from him and they implemented that his game mode in their game called ‘H1Z1,’ later on they saw the potential of Battle Royale and they split the game into 2 games with one game that only has the Battle Royale game mode called H1Z1.

    What does BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) feel like?

    - It’s a mixture of Arma 3 and H1Z1, but more or less it feels like Arma (but not clunky) since it’s not arcadey like H1Z1 and it actually takes skill to learn. It’s not just about getting kills. It’s about surviving. If you like tactical’ness, outsmarting your opponent, a non-clucky engine like Arma 3 and just an overall fun time. This is the game for you. In Arma 3, it’s slow pace and walking everywhere, sometimes taking a vehicle. In H1Z1, almost everyone is in a car and if you get near someone they jump out (while the car is going full speed) and they try to shoot you. In this game, it’s medium pace, the vehicles in BATTLEGROUNDS will get you killed if you randomly jump out to kill someone at full or half speed.

    In BATTLEGROUNDS, you have servers where you can go Solo or find a teammate(s) in Duo and SQUAD, just like in H1Z1. Unlike in H1Z1, but like in Arma 3, if you team in Solo servers you will get banned. PLAYERUNKNOWN promised that Mod support would be coming at official release. But, Mod support is nowhere to be found in 1.0. They stated that Mod support to the point where you can create your own Battle Royale game mode (and publish it to the Steam Workshop), host it (maybe rent a server like in the Battlefield series) and have your own community or group of friends play it. Weapon-wise, all these weapons don’t have predicable weapon recoil, they’re all different, as well with the bullet drop/travel. Attachments like forgrips, compensators and more all can decrease the recoil and change the final outcome of the game when it comes down to that 1v1 at the end. You can’t use 3rd person shooting all the time, it’s not accurate as 1st person shooting (like in H1Z1, both 1st and 2nd can be used at medium/long).

    As I mentioned in the beginning, getting the game for free doesn’t affect my review at all. But because this is a review, I have to be unbiased and review all aspects of the game, even the company behind the game. I give the score what I gave it because of one issue. Due to the fact that the Community Manager/Community Team of the game, Sammie and FWG (go on my Twitter for that link/story). They were very disrespectful, closed minded and banned me on many platforms to censor me. I would have given this game a 9/10 if this situation didn’t happen/taken place.

    In the end, I’m glad PU made the Mod in Arma 2/3 and Daybreak licensed the Battle Royale mode from PLAYERUNKNOWN. He got rid of the clucky’ness from Arma and understood all of H1Z1 mistakes, downfalls, lack of communication/game updates and made his own game. And to be honest with you, this game is pretty bada** and worth the buy. I’m glad that I was able to see this game grow when when Pre-Alpha was going on. And let's face it, H1Z1 is still in Early Access just this upcoming January in 2018, it will be 3 years in Early Access... PUBG put H1Z1 in it's coffin.

    It’s one of those games that you will come back and play each day just because how fun it is, H1Z1 (or other BR related titles) can’t do this.

    Poor optimization. Unfinished product, bugs, poor performance with hi end PC, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a promise of something, but they take money for a promise, not fair. A lot of missing contents for the most disappointing game of the year.

    Critics are fake, i can't believe this game have the same score of the witcher 3. Is plenty of bugs, not optimized and really frustrating. YES OFC this is NOT **** game but the same metascore of Divinity2 or the witcher 3? We are near to ridiculousness. My score is 1 Cause i want to low this critics cheats but the game deserve 5/6...

    Incredibly fun. With 100 people on a large map there can certainly be some jank, but it works well enough to fill many, many hours with great gameplay. The concept is one which naturally causes you to switch between defensive and offensive positions, adding just the right amount of randomness by forcing more skilled players to sometimes be at a disadvantage. I think how much fun you have in this game depends on how you want to play it. Hot jumps can sometimes be fun, but I've enjoyed being tactical and playing the long game, crawling through the grass, trying to be stealthy. There's a lot of different play styles you can use, and you're forced to switch that up depending on where the circle takes you.

    The game has come a long way since it's early access release this past March. But a 1.0 release does not mean it's a completed product, which is why I'm taking off points. There are plenty of bugs, server issues, rubberbanding, etc that will keep this game from getting a perfect score. I hope those will be ironed out over time as we would hope for any game. But, in the mean time, I'm going to keep having a blast playing a game that has vastly improved since its launch.

    Playing with friends whether it's duos or teams adds a whole other layer to the game that has kept me entertained plenty a night. What it comes down to, for me, is if I'm having fun. I was having fun in March. I'm still having fun now.    … Expand

    This game is straight up salty garbage.

    People are going nuts over the fact its 'come out of early access' but really it hasn't. It still runs like early access, it still looks like early access and it still crashes like early access.

    This game is amazing, so addicting, you can play with friends, so much fun need more rounds to get good good at it. what makes it even more enjoyably is that you have to get in to it hiding from enemies or fighting them you are in dangers all the time. but don't forget to be the last man stand.

    Really complex and addictive, PUBG is going to change the vision of the online for the next months and weeks. The high amount of players is one of the probes.

    The whole madness around PUBG is well-deserved. This is the best possible praise for this great battle-royale-genre shooter. What a pity there are so many bugs, mad vehicle physics and occasional cheaters, but it bothers you only for a while. When you frantically get into the hectic, slightly frightening struggle for life and death you’ll forget anything else.
