Wow, didn't think "Anger Foot" would have a competitor so soon, "Pesticide" - is another Hotline Miami in 3D, which is not very unique in itself, but incredible visual style/repulsive, but such a nice ability to crush parasites, and, good models, make the game still desirable for your acquaintance. There is no plot here, just 15 hardcore levels, each of which you have to clear out all the enemies and save 5 caty-girls.
And it works at first.. but after 2 hours, alas, it gets boring, there is a variety in locations, sometimes they are slums or a supermarket, but this is extremely small, especially considering that most players will speedrun the game without noticing such small changes in the environment. But even if we discard the factor of "fatigue" from the game, let's assume, play it just like a challenge for an hour a day, even so, despite the pleasant shooting, variety in weapons, a good soundtrack, a great picture, the game has problems in core. mechanics - it doesn`t work perfectly, which is difficult to forgive for a project sharpened by "honing" a skill and "replaying" the same battles. Sometimes objects just don't pick up, you just can't pick a pixel, and this is the most important thing when you have a split second and the only thing that will save your life - is an invulnerability inhaler, and by the way , about this - it seems to me to give direct complete immortality to player for a couple of seconds - is too cheating, it would just give more hp, because in the last levels I only ran on these steroids to the hostage cells, opened them, one-shot everyone with 1 hit on my way, and speed-run back, so that later I could safely shoot the crowd that had gathered behind me.
There is no general time limit per level, but there are "trigger" limits, if you get close enough to the cage, then you have 10 seconds to break the lock (you can shoot from afar), otherwise the hostage will be torn apart by dynamite, and you will lose.. by the way, this was not in the very first version of the game, I still could not decide whether this innovation was good, since on the one hand it prevents you from getting high, and on the other hand, it makes sense to rush at least in key places, but I should note that the timer sounds weird: at the last second, it seems like there are a couple more. And the FPS twitches hard in the last locations, that makes my ass boil… Expand
