Oct 30, 2015The developers promised no micro-transactions. Said shame on us for even thinking it!
Then they added micro-transactions. But not just that! The micro-transactions weren't just for cosmetics, oh no... they gave you stat boosts on your weapons. Oh, and they nerfed all other weapons so you have to pay.
I hope that greedy pig Almir gets hit by a bus. -

Oct 30, 2015When I got this game it was great..... for 5 hours. The game itself is nothing without the $60 worth of DLC they striped from the base game. To make matters worse they have microtransactions.
-
Oct 31, 2015
-
Oct 31, 2015Trash since even before they introduced the microtransactions that killed the game. Terrible support for fixing glaring game breaker bugs, zero communication to fix said bugs, all while pumping out DLC expecting more money, and finally attaching stat boosts to skins just so you can be competitive and actually win the game. PaytoWin, **** you Overkill.

-
Nov 1, 2015A great game, ruined with micro transactions and expensive never-ending DLCs. If you buy the base game, about 70% of the weapons are locked, DLC only.
Their goal is to rip off every penny you have with any way possible. -
Nov 1, 2015The gameplay for this game is currently pretty great.
The developer has proven, through a pattern of dishonesty and disrespect toward the playerbase, to be untrustworthy deceptive. The future of this game is in jeopardy, and the developers don't care about players' opinions; they're pushing forward, full-throttle. -
Nov 5, 2015The game is very bad. There is very little to do without purchasing the game's DLCs, which total to $110 despite this game not being free to play. They also recently added microtransactions, something they said they would never do. Ever. If you want a similar experience to this game that you can enjoy at a fraction of the price, try the first game.
-
Nov 5, 2015Absolutely awful business decisions by OVERKILL. I literally made an account to post this. You don't lie to the community and expect them to just forget. Terrible.

-
Nov 10, 2015Before the crimefest 2 update there were already paid DLCs like small weapon packs and level packs. Most of them are very little contents and not cheap. Then now developers break promises and lie again and again. Worst developers ever.
-
Nov 10, 2015Flat out greed killed this game. It used to get massive community support through their DLC model, but it was recently updated to include microtransactions after the developers promised it would never have them.
-
Nov 11, 2015micro transactions have killed the game I once loved, now its full of spoilt kids spending their parents money and overgreed think its the way the game should go.
-
Nov 12, 2015
-
Nov 12, 2015I spent 170$ on DLC and copies for my friends. I spent 400 hours playing this game, it was worth it then.
Now, it is pay to win and the game has been ruined for me and all of my friends. Don't bother with this game. -
Nov 12, 2015The game was a massively fun co op experience with other fellow gamers. However M/T's as well as a lack of communication with the community. This has sorely eaten away at this once amazing title.
-
Nov 12, 2015This used to be a good game, but the company did things resembling extortion of players recently. Do not waste your time on this game, and move on to something else. Nothing to see here.
-
Nov 12, 2015This game used to be quite good and i used to play it, until it turned into CS:GO with the last patch, now the flame was has started and the community is trying to execute Overkill for that patch. (or so it seems)
-
Nov 13, 2015disgusting and shameless practices by the developers; dont support this and keep an eye out for the names responsible in future games. they'll break their promises and screw you over for money anytime.

Nov 13, 2015"We've made it clear that PAYDAY 2 will have no micro-transactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"
Well, who is to be ashamed now? -
Nov 13, 2015Overkill screwing the Completely Overkill Pack buyers and adding the safe (crate) gambling killed the game for me. I am not against paid skins (without the p2w), but in the way they do it now is really bad. Buyers should be able to choose what skin they get.

Rarity (let users pick what they want)
Skin conditions (let user pick what they want) -
Nov 13, 2015You are paying for the game , you are paying for the unlimited number of DLCs and then you pay for microtransactions aswell... Nope , stay the hell away from it!!
-
Nov 13, 2015Micropayments gehen gar nicht ...
... wenn man das Spiel vorher gekauft hat.
... wenn sie Vorteile im Spiel bringen.
Was hier leider der Fall ist. -
Nov 13, 2015Do not waste your money on this game, first you will think 'Oh wow, a good game that is pretty cheap" but then you will look and see that the other 3 quarters of the games costs over 150$. Not to mention the developers are filthy people.
-
Nov 13, 2015I have nearly 500 hours in the game and have played since the beginning. But with recent updates of Microtransactions and P2W formula, I have to leave a negative review anywhere I can. I want the old OVERKILL back!

Nov 13, 2015It was all fun and games until Overkill´s greed **** everything up. As a veteran player thats been playing since day 1 I refuse to play and have uninstalled the game as a consequence of the microtransactions in the black market update. Thanks for you´r support Overkill
-
Nov 13, 2015A really great game. I loved to play it.
First came the 'rebalancing' that weakened all the dlc weapons. Then came the first wave of micro transactions. Then the second (team stat boosts). And now I'm sad and confused on why they would end their own game this way. I don't get it. Overkill, pull yourself together. -
Nov 13, 2015Unfortunately I have to strongly recommend against buying this game due the recent rolling out of pay to win microtransactions. This, in addition to their piecemeal weapon dlc system, heist dlc, and character dlc despite promising no microtransactions ever, makes payday2 one of the worst pay to play games on steam.
-
Nov 13, 2015This game is the best example of what lazy greedy developers do, it's worse than Candy Crush in terms of money sucking potential vs. game content, avoid it like the plague. Just to be clear, let me say it again, DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.
-
Nov 13, 2015Used to be a great game, but then Overkill had to **** over the entire community. Stating that there would be no micro transactions before the game's release, only to add them and try to hide anything they said about the topic.
-
Nov 13, 2015the **** sake microtransaction in a paid game, even worst with tons of dlcs **** overkill u are not ashamed? "We've made it clear that Payday 2 will have no microtransactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)" almir listo 2013 ;)
-
Nov 13, 2015A developer of lies and stupidity. Once who added features hours after demanded by their community to constantly digging for wallets. Stay away from this game or the developers.
-
Nov 13, 2015
-
Nov 13, 2015It was a good game, but the dev ruined it, and is completely untrustable. I can't suggest buying anything from overkill or starbreeze. The microtransactions they added are the worst i have ever seen, and the complete rip off that people who bought the completely overkill back got is just sad.
-
Nov 14, 2015
-
Nov 14, 2015TBH it's a fun game, but what they did with Microtransactions and stats on skins is just awful.
Especially since they promised no microtransactions what so ever to be included in the game... -

Nov 14, 2015
-
Nov 14, 2015Played a lot this game when it was actually good.Overkill dont give a **** about what the gamers want, so im out. Pathetic servers lag everytime, the skins for the stupid microtransactions are plain stupid and childish, my game takes 4ever to open a **** gun menu. Congratulashuns overkill I promiss that i'll keep playing your game! (like you promissed there wouldnt be microstransactions)
-
Nov 14, 2015I made a metacritic account just so I could give the game a negative review. Used to have lots of fun playing together, now the dev team is creating a culture of paying to win, kicking folks who don't have pay-to-win team boosting stats, at the sacrifice of their previously strong community. The game has lost its vision and gained pay-to-win.
-
Nov 14, 2015Overkill managed to destroy the game. They had a huge community with them. They had all they would dream of. Now they destroyed the game with P2W microtransactions and "balance". Dont even let me start on Completely Overkill Pack.
Dont buy this game, dont support developers like them. In the end, they only care about the money. -
Nov 14, 2015Devs lied to us about microtransactions and made a lot of DLCs explainin they need money. Spoiler : they got 6 million dollars or more with just the game(?)
-
Nov 14, 2015aaaaaaaaaaaand I am done. COP turned out to be absolute bull. Microtransactions give already well off devs more money. No more. goodbye, 560 hours of my life.
-
Nov 14, 2015Overkill does nothing but lie to their customers and rip them off. Do not support them. The micro transactions are bs because they promised they would never add them. The game has become pay2win.
-
Nov 14, 2015Payday 2 is unfortunately now a wasteland of poor developer decisions. The game is now microtransaction-focused on top of purchasing the base game and the dozens of DLC packs. OVERKILL has no idea what they're doing, and they're running the game into the ground for money as they blindly stumble around trying to guess what players want instead of asking them.
-
Nov 14, 2015Why not just bring a bad game's score down even lower if it truly deserves it? The developers decided to ruin the game one day, and they did a very good job at it.
-
Nov 14, 2015Microtransaction, and the Play to win system that ruins the game for most...it Just too Much. Not to Mention the Completely Overkill pack Ripoff that depressed the most Loyal fans that bought it...enough is enough.
-
Nov 14, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015I feel bad for new players, because this game was pretty fun before the micro-transactions and **** DLC.
PAYDAY 2 has become a shake for money, and OVERKILL really doesn't care about their fans. -
Nov 15, 2015The core game is very solid, especially with friends. But as the game aged, it has become a poorly optimised DLC fest, with a very unbalanced micro-transaction system.
-
Nov 15, 2015The core game itself is good. However, Overkill has implemented pay2win micro transactions in a game where the base cost of the game plus all additional DLCs exceed that of AAA games.
-
Nov 15, 2015I dont know what to say
A game filled with bugs, DLC's and now micro-transactions.
Avoid this game like cancer. Coincidentally cancer and payday 2 are similar now.
Avoid buying this, just buy anything else, it's better. -
Nov 15, 2015A once decent game let down by developers who are either incompetent or just outright dishonest. If you like the idea of seeing most weapons, heists and masks held behind as DLC on top of microtransactions for skins with stat boosts, Payday 2 is for you.
-
Nov 15, 2015The Developers of Payday 2 lied alot to the own community. Even when they promised that they will listen, they managed it to f*ck their own community without lube ...
-
Nov 15, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015ded gaem ded thread
thx 4 too much dlc and microtransactions
basically they **** it up, big time. They said no microtranscations, then added microtransactions on top of a heap of DLC. Hope you wanted to spend $150 for the whole game! -
Nov 15, 2015Honestly, not that good, unless you like insane powercreep with lots of DLC's which were essentially microtransactions and now are literally micrtransactions. Do not recommend.
-
Nov 15, 2015I purchased the base game, then every DLC up to the BBQ Pack. This is a great game, but at a certain point it just isn't affordable, and now there is more than just the monthly DLC. I am unhappy with the way that Overkill has managed the content updates for this game.
I will update this review at a point that I WOULD recommend this game. -
Nov 15, 2015Want to know what the best example of bad business practices by a game dev is? You're looking at it. Seriously, never before has any game community/dev relationship gone south this quickly... and for a damn good reason.
-
Nov 16, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015Was pretty decent despite engine limitations, until micro transactions and donation begging started. Not to mention the lying about DLC and the inclusion of MT's.
-
Nov 16, 2015Just a big NOPE after Greedfest 2015, adding MT and the COP dlc fiasco. It's sad that because core game is good, but the **** around it makes it hard to enjoy.
-
Nov 16, 2015
-
Nov 16, 2015It's my most played game in steam and I used to love it, but they ruined the game by adding microtransactions which they promised multiple times not to add.
-
Nov 16, 2015Overkill have **** the whole community over with update after update after update. The community outrage has been insane and how do overkill respond? More microtransactions.
-
Nov 16, 2015A good game that has been degraded into a money making scheme by greedy devs. Milking the gamers, first with almost monthly dlc containing the best weapons and perks. Now a crate system which means spending money for a random item that may or may not improve your weapons.
-
Nov 18, 2015This game has completely been ruined by overkills greed and terrible business decisions
I had racked up over 700 hours into this game but I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone -
Nov 18, 2015Why on God's green earth would they add microtransactions? Seriously, the game is raking the dough as it is, you have to add THOSE as well? Geez. Oh and now of course the thing that cost 20 bucks and was supposed to be cosmetic only has stat boosts.
**** you, Overkill. -
Nov 18, 2015
-
Nov 19, 2015Good game, bad developers, liar Almir Listo.
Hackers, microtransactions, no interest by users and the community, 33 debuff and useless DLCs, no transparency, no one believes them, the game was murdered by the developers. -
Nov 19, 2015Overkill makes Bad decisions that f*k a great game. A tons of DLC 's and adding micro transactions made it ( they said they wouldn't). Don't buy it, stay strong.

Nov 20, 2015
-
Nov 20, 2015this game sucks so hard they are never going to fix anything and it is almost impossible to play the game without buying 150 dlc's and then you can still waste another 20 bucks to gain a skin with stat boost which brings your weapon over the breakpoint.
going over the breakpoint is insane cause you now only need 1 shot instead of 2 but that's the reason why to spend 20 bucks... -
Nov 23, 2015Is now a P2W game. The developers broke their promises. They said they would not add micro-transactions, but they did. Shame. Now the game is ruined, and the company is corrupt from the inside. They did some pretty bad things to modders too, all very shady.
-
Nov 23, 2015
-
Nov 23, 2015One of the worst, if not THE worst game I have ever played on PC, absolutely shocking and not worth buying even if it was on sale for $1. It has so many bugs in it, it still has bugs from day 1 launch. Don't waste your money on this massive pile of garbage, the developers will **** all over you.
-
Nov 24, 2015Everything to say has been said. The micro-transactions, the abundance of paid DLC and the broken promises were the tipping point for lots of people. At this moment in time the player count on Steam is dropping lower. It's no longer worth the price.

Nov 24, 2015Created account just to make this review and give it a 0.
To the dev team:
You are a joke [insert ur name if ur a pd2 dev].
its just funny to see a game going from awesome to crappy in one update, and I expected Runescape to be the quickest game ruining itself by updates, you proven me wrong.
Good thing about RS devs is that they created RS2007, lets hope they create Payday2lite -
Nov 25, 2015
-
Nov 25, 2015I used to love PAYDAY 2. Now is **** 500000 dlcs and if not paying enoth: **** micro transactions that nobody asked for, die in piss overkill. With love, Me.
PD: If ur plaining a Payday 3, delete files now. -
Nov 26, 2015Definitely a shame. They broke the game with microtransactions. This is not how to treat with your players and I m saying this as a developer rather than a player. Remove microtransactions or you ll become hated forever.
-
Nov 28, 2015The game WAS good, the problem was the developers at overkill who lied to the community. Don't buy this game or any game made by Overkill. I paid for all the DLCs (now worth over 100$) and they STILL add microtransactions AND defend them. Payday 2 WAS good and I'm hoping will be again. But until then, this review will stay at 0.
-
Dec 1, 2015Overkill please listen to your fans. Please don't make them do this to you. I know you guys are better than this. Microtransactions and surprising your fans with content not approved from the community is a great way to ruin a game. Please don't get greedy with your games.
-
Dec 4, 2015Went back on multiple promises not to have microtransactions by nerfing all existing players and adding pay-to-win microtransactions. After already questionable DLC insanity, this was the final straw. Stay away.
-
Dec 6, 2015
-
Dec 7, 2015Overkill promised loud and clear "no micro-transactions, instead they popped out dlcs non-stop. I was ok with that because I could still play the dlc heists and did not care much about the dlc guns. After making the game w/ all dlcs cost more than 100 dollars (more than any AAA game at launch) they decided to release non-cosmetic micro-transactions. Stat boosts per say.
-
Dec 8, 2015After the developer promised not to add micro transactions, they added them anyway! Now the game has become pay to win! The developers have refused to correct their mistake because it is profitable.
-
Dec 11, 2015the devs killed this game everyone is leaving this game, online will probably be dead soon , dont waste your time or money. .
-
Dec 11, 2015We've made it clear that PAYDAY 2 will have no micro-transactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)
Developer is very very greedy liar... do not fal for him dirty tricks.. -
Dec 14, 2015omg microtransactions!!!
Almir lied, they created a hostile community and got a highly respected fan site shut down.
Do I have to mention that the game have 100$+ worth of DLCs?

Oct 9, 2013PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.
