Oct 25, 2015Stay away from this game and anything else overkill or sunbreeze may create. if they did it once they will do it again. Once a dev shows their colors like this, it is near impossible for them to recover.

Oct 25, 2015Used to be a great game, had tons of fun playing heists with my friends. But the developer is one of the worst. They promised no micro-transactions. What do they do? They add micro-transactions.
The developers are **** Don't buy the game. -

Oct 25, 2015This used to be a great game. There were occasional DC, a view of which were necessary for the game to be playable. Now there is a new $5 extension every month, with each weapon stronger and less and less thought out. To truly get into this game takes hundreds of hours and probably close to $80 or so. Just get a better game that has a less **** developer.
-
Oct 25, 2015"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Overkill got microtransactions, but at which price ? One big, angry community that still remember how Payday wasn't supposed to become the "Pay2win" it has become. -
Oct 25, 2015It was great. The many players co-existing in peace. But then everything changed when the microtransactions attacked. Sucks even more because we were promised no microtransactions. Now the devs are ignoring the community and paying attention to only their own lust for money. If I wanted to have devs screw me over, I would have gone to EA or Ubisoft

-
Oct 25, 2015You pay over 120$ for a 2 year old game to get all the content and would do they give you? Microtransactions. I loved this game. Have over 500 hours in it but the developer has changed and the publisher is going to ride this game into the grave. Don't bother getting hocked now. It's over for this one. Downhill from here.
-
Oct 25, 2015In its hay-day this was the go to game, now that they have said screw you to the fans by not listening to the ones that didn't want to shell our money for stupid DLC's and adding in microtransactions! (which they said they would never do) I advise ANYONE to run far away from this game and go spend it on something useful.

Oct 25, 2015The Developers have abandoned caring for this game or it's community and their passion has devolved into corporate greed.
They don't deserve any of your money, pirate the game or go buy Killing Floor 2 / Left 4 Dead / Vermintide. -
Oct 25, 2015The business practices of Overkill are beyond questionable. First off, you have a game that already costs a chunk of cash, but then add on to that around 30 paid DLC packs.
Recently, they decided to reward community efforts with microtransactions. Disgusting. -
Oct 25, 2015**** you overkill.
- Sincerely everyone.
How the mighty have fallen. What started off as a great developer and game have spiraled down into a hodgepodge of greed and corporate douchiness. They've put out so much overpriced **** DLC ($130) worth of ****, people bought it, and now they've added micro transactions. Go **** yourselves. -
Oct 25, 2015They added Microtransactions to a game with 150$ worth of DLC, DO NOT BUY, Just stay far away, I joined from when the first PAID dlc game out, I thought it was great back then. Now it's terrible
-
Oct 25, 2015Seriously? If you can read you know. "In the past, i would of recommended this game. Instead, now all you get is pay to win microtransactions in a game you already paid for. Stay the hell away.
" -
Oct 25, 2015This is everything that's wrong with modern gaming. Paying for the game is not enough. Get ready to be bent over and every penny extracted from your once beautifully tight and desirable coin purse.
-

-
Oct 25, 2015I will save my fingers the extra work to type out my hatred for this game. what was once a game I loved has now been riddled with bugs, glitches, unfinished DLCs and micro-transactions.
-
Oct 25, 2015Payday 2's new microtransactions are a total train-wreck. I cannot begin to fathom why Overkill even began to think this was a slightly decent idea. Please undo this.
-
Oct 25, 2015Loved this game for years sadly its kinda turned into a husk of its former self due to the continual broken promises and now micro-transactions that are here to stay, its a real shame the game was great while it lasted though.
-
Bien hecho Overkill. -
Oct 25, 2015
-
Oct 25, 2015They added micro transactions to this game, after they said there would be not micro transactions. This is unacceptable. Please do NOT buy. Sincerely, a fan of the game.
-
Oct 25, 2015The developer Overkill stated there would be no micro-transactions. Fast forward and guess what? Micro-transactions. A straight up lie. Don't support these dishonest people.
-
Oct 25, 2015
-
Oct 25, 2015Their business model slowly got greedier and greedier, until it turned to simply taking advantage of the player base and lying to their faces. I would advise no longer trusting this company.
-
Oct 25, 2015As a person with over a 1000 hours in Payday 2 and owning all the DLC for the game, I used to like it and support the developer Overkill Software...
But now, they care about money more than making a good enjoyable game.
They themselves at one point said "BUT remember - GREED KILLS!"... Too bad they seem to have forgotten that... -
Oct 25, 2015
-
Oct 25, 2015This game WAS good, but not anymore I'm afraid. All those positive reviews from critics speak about Payday 2 BEFORE new updates were added. The developers lied, and straight up TOLD us they weren't gonna change a thing.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015It was a fine game when the Devs were not completely greedy. Now it's just another Pay2Win game that will give unfair advantage to those whales going RNG like a freakin' slot machine with microtransactions. It seems that Konami teached them to HIT THE LEVER!
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015I enjoyed the game during free play, but the amount of dlcs and now the added microtransactions which they don't intend to remove makes me feel the company only cares about our money.
-
Oct 26, 2015Buggy micro-transaction filled mess. So many lies and broken promises from the devs.
Promised that there would never be micro-transactions but added them anyway. -
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015microtransactions.
False advertising.
Amir lied.
I want you to return the money.
Don't Buy this Game.
Is too much to fool the player.
Exactly Overkill !!! -
Oct 26, 2015Overkill created an amazing game, one of the only horde based co-op shooters out there.
But they decided it needed Pay2Win micro-transactions on top of the massive mountain of DLC, even after they promised not to, so they can shove it.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME IF YOU VALUE YOUR WALLET, get something worth your money, like candy crush or a crippling gambling addiction. -
Oct 26, 2015The game is fun but DO NOT BUY IT in its current state as the developers have recently added microtransactions and while that may seem like it doesn't affect you, the microtransactions and DLC of over $100 USD have created a Pay to Win system that is just trying to take more of your money. Steer clear of this title, there are plenty of other co-op games that will treat you better as a consumer.
-
Oct 26, 2015I've bought that game and all DLCs (around 30 of them) and what I've got for that? Weapons were nerfed and now you have to gamble with 2.5 Euro safes to get stats back. Yes weapon skins now have stats, some of them are really OP.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015Pre-Crimefest this would've been a Solid 9...but Micro transactions and unprofessional standards from OVERKILL makes this Below 0, Do NOT purchase this game
-
Oct 26, 2015What is there I can say that hasn't been said already. The game is an absolute train-wreck since Oct 15th, and the developers don't seem to care too much about it when money is speaking louder than words to them.
There's a great deal of information on this all across the web and Reddit so I suggest taking to there to look into this. -
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015Paid about 100$ for game and DLC. Were doing heists for half a year. Then, one day, microtransactions came and ruined game for me. Tried to be patient, but in the end, we community was ignored in favour of new players and their money. So don't play unless you want to pay to win.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015Not recommended. Overkill backtracked on their own promises, which they knew would have pissed off the entire PD2 community by adding micro-transactions when they promised in the past that they would never add it, going as far to say that we were even silly if we ever thought PD2 had micro-transactions. Guess who are the silly ones now?
-
Oct 26, 2015After almost 800 hours into this game, I just cannot recommend it to anyone and would actually advise against playing it.
The developers are just too untrustworthy and it seems that all they care for is money, even if it means pissing off their fan base.
All you get with this game, is access to more DLC to pay for. Fun! -
Oct 26, 2015Developer is the greed king of greediness.
Overpriced DLC's for every **** they add + microtransactions.
We trusted them when years ago they said that there'll be no microtransactions whatsoever. Now the did exactly the contrary thing.
Stay away from this. -
Oct 26, 2015Game with 100$+ of dlc and microtransactions while being buggy as hell at the same time and the devs dont give a flying **** and told the community to f*ck off!
-
Oct 26, 2015I didn't ask for micro-transactions. Please remove the micro-transactions from this game. This isn't Game of War: Fire Age. Please don't refer to gamers who purchase micro-transactions as "whales" as well Overkill.
-
Oct 26, 2015Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooooooooooooootransactions
-
Oct 26, 2015I bougth the game and played it for some hours. Thanks to Starbreeze giving us the big middle finger with the pay to win I will never play it again. The only reason to do such a thing is because of greed.
It's payback time. -
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015This was a great game, then they decided to begin releasing overpriced DLC every other month, and on top of that they added microtransactions that unbalance the game by having them not just be cosmetic, but change gun stats. What a mess.
-
Oct 26, 2015TL;DR Save your money, save your time, don't get this game.
Best example of where greed killed a quite good game. I used to love this game, but ever since they started throwing out half a**ed DLC I've been sceptical towards their doing. Now when they decided to introduce micro-transaction after previously making a promise there would be non, that just break the spirit of the community. -
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015After a ton of garbage DLCs, microtransactions has arrived in PD2 even though they promised not to implement such a thing.
Well, a bad user score is deserved! -
Oct 26, 2015What a shame.
- There will be no microtransactions, SHAME ON YOU IF YOU THOUGHT!
- The black market update adds microtransactions to keep overkill making DLCs.
10 million bucks outta 10. -
Oct 26, 2015The game is dead, the developers lie and don't give a damn about the players' feedback. Run away from this game as fast as you can, it's not worth the time/money.
-

-
Oct 26, 2015I LOVED this game SO much. It was amazingly fun. When overkill lied to us I was so sad. They said they wouldnt add microtransactions. They addes skins WITH STAT BOOSTS.
-
Oct 26, 2015While i enjoyed the game for some solid 400 hours, blowing around 100 bucks of cash, it is no time for me to uninstall this piece of crap, which whom OVERKILL wants to cash in with microtransactions, dlc and lies.
-
Oct 26, 2015Only, if only, game publishers take this as a sign that micro-transactions will not be tolerated or at least plainly communicated before implementation.
-
Oct 26, 2015I appreciate honesty from the people I give my money to. It was a great game, but I cannot possibly recommend a game whose developers act in such a shady manner. If you say no microtransactions, don't add microtransactions. And even if you do, pay2win is never ok.
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers promised no micro-transactions and now they have added micro-transactions. Don't buy this game, the developers don't care about you and just want your money.
-
Oct 26, 2015Do you like buying games? Do you like buying DLC for games so that a company can bring you GREAT FREE CONTENT that you have to PAY FOR? Then this game is for you! Seriously though the devs behind this game do not care about their players only about making money, do not purchase any OVERKILL games ever again.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers just added microtransactions - Skins you can buy for 2,50€ with certain drop chances. The problem is, these skins give stat boosts, which you can not acquire in another way.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers decided to completely screw over the entire fan-base, with no remorse. What hurts the most is that the "PR Manager" if you could call him that, "Almir", decided he would pour gasoline onto the fire at the end of it all, with no apologies, basically telling the hardcore fans they don't matter, and that he's happy with the changes they made.
Never. Again. -
Oct 26, 2015Don't buy this game, Overkill is submerged in greed and they don't care about their community, microtransactions and a bucket load of dlc. Pay to win in a pve game, spend your money on something else instead.

Oct 26, 2015You so know why, might delete if it's change. It was great in the past. Put a lot of money on the DLCs, but randomized microtransaction is **** let the sink begins.
-
Oct 26, 2015Paid the maingame and many DLCs . . . and now Pay2Win !
"We've made it clear that Payday 2 will have no microtransactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"
Producer Almir Listo
A greedy lying Company. Will never buy a game from Overkill. -
Oct 26, 2015OVK you seriously !? a microtransaction in payday 2 it's stupid , 2,19$ for a drill and 25 dlc , OVK your are very bad developper to vidéo games......
-
Oct 26, 2015this game always had ups and downs but now it's just a piece of **** because of the **** microtransactions. don't buy this go play other fun coop games because this isn't really worth it
-
Oct 26, 2015Used to love this game. I have spent hundreds of hours on both PD1 and PD2. But that was before the dark times...
Now you can just pay to win. Stupid Developers are just greedy. -
Oct 26, 2015With this recent update adding micro-transactions I can not support nor recommend this game nor this company. This is exactly how not to treat a loyal fan base .
-
Oct 26, 2015Microtransactions and too many DLC. Nothing else I say matters. And these developers are a disgrace, and calling themselves an indie when they clearly aren't. And Almir is delusional.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015This game is complete garbage. Be prepared to have to pay to unlock superior weapons unless you want to be doing no damage while everyone else is having all the fun with their paid-for weapons. Seriously. You buy this game brand new for full price, and then you are expected to pay more money indefinitely to get any actually good gear or weapons. Stay far away from this trainwreck.

Oct 26, 2015I used to love this game, however since adding in micro transactions I can no longer support the game or its developer. The stat changing skins are truly abhorrent and frankly have absolutely ruined the game. Coupled with a total lack of adequate communication or justification from the developers I wholeheartedly recommend avoiding this game.
-
Oct 26, 2015This was a great game, except overkill messed it up.
Pay to win microtransactions in a game you already paid for. Also they already made shedloads of overpriced dlc.
Good job overkill.
R.I.P. payday 2 -
Oct 26, 2015Send a message to people, the dews are cashgrabbing lying scumbags and should be made as an example so no else has to pull this s*it
Stat boosting skins as a "free update". go f"ck yourself OVK -
Oct 26, 2015I loved the whole Idea of forming a group and pulling off heist with my friends and have things be a challenge but now that micro transactions have been introduced the game has become broken and we are being treated like idiots that are just wallets to these devs.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015Overkill has truly **** up. Hard. There are plenty of other posts on here explaining what happened, and I am just here to help the cause. This isnt the first time they **** up, but it is far bigger than the others.

-
Oct 9, 2013PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.
