PC PowerPlayJul 6, 2016Beautiful, whimsical, difficult and brutal, Ori and the Blind Forest is a thoroughly engrossing platforming experience. [Issue#252, p.]

May 10, 2016I cannot in recent memory think of a game that has moved me as much as Ori and the Blind Forest has. The art style, soundtrack and design of the game are all breathtakingly beautiful. On their own they stand strong, telling the story of the forest and its destruction in a way that is more powerful than a text prelude could ever be. Together, they combine into something that feeds off each other to create one incredible game experience.

May 5, 2016Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is quite simply a fantastic game and is one of my favourite games in recent times. I would highly recommend playing this version of the game if you played the original and if you haven’t played Ori and the blind Forest yet then now is the perfect time to experience it at its best.
-
May 4, 2016The original was already a classic, so where the Definitive Edition makes improvements is largely in making the challenging game more accessible to newcomers.

Apr 26, 2016Perhaps the true definitive version of Ori and the Blind Forest assuming you can get it running at 4K. Even if you can't and you haven't played it yet, it's still one of the very best platformers of the last few years with a stunning art style, incredible score, and emotional storyline.
-
May 11, 2016While the additions don't change the game in any fundamental way, the overall experience is still as amazing as it was last year. If you haven't played Ori before, this Definitive Edition is a must buy.
-
Oct 1, 2019Ori and the Blind Forest is still an exceptional game, it handles beautifully and the audio/visual presentation is simply stunning.
-
Apr 27, 2016Ori and the Blind Forest shows how relatively classic platforming mechanics can be enhanced by the addition of an understated but impactful story and by offering a gorgeous world that gamers can take in as they uncover more of the story.
-
May 7, 2016Ori and the Blind Forest is a special game. It doesn’t quit sit solely in the platform genre, it is a far more involved story than simply slotting in that.

May 3, 2016The game’s huge for its genre, a good dozen hours at least of bouncing, flinging, zapping and triple-jumping. The new sections only make it better, the new skills fit in perfectly. Few games come close to being this well made, this lovingly animated, and so madly pleasurable to play. If you played it last year, it’s well worth going back (and in May, it’s only £3.75 to update your version on Steam), if not, then goodness me, it’s time to put that right.
