One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 blends the musou gameplay of the Warriors games well with the world of One Piece. I do wish there was more of the story to offer fans of the series, but the game feels nice to play.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, then, is not only the best Pirate Warriors game to date - as you would expect - but maybe, just maybe, the best Musou game available at the moment. Despite the reused story assets that may cheapen the experienced for seasoned Pirate Warriors vets, Omega Force once again prove they are the kings of their craft with this glorious, delicious slice into anime mayhem. Sit down, Hyrule Warriors. You aren’t the pinnacle anymore.

The port has some issues with videos, controllers, and optimization, and the game lacks some content in comparison with its predecessor. But it's still a worthwhile experience for One Piece fans.

The eccentric enemies match the exaggerated abilities of our heroes, and combined with the vibrant anime style visuals, make One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 a fun experience... even if there is distinct lack of talking parrots, plank walking and shivering of timbers.

The gameplay was very fun and addicting at times. There's so many characters that have unique abilities and upgrades. Story was great.

A huge improvement from Pirate Warriors 3 in my opinion. Gameplay is so much smoother and the change of scenery every other moment is great. IA huge improvement from Pirate Warriors 3 in my opinion. Gameplay is so much smoother and the change of scenery every other moment is great. I am also glad they didn't start from the way beginning again . My biggest complaint would have to be the camera angles though. I found myself constantly having to move around just to see what my character was doing. Full Review »

Was excited to play this Game once i found out it'll be coming out this Year.

Gameplay and Fighting is way smoother than PW3 was.
Was excited to play this Game once i found out it'll be coming out this Year.

Gameplay and Fighting is way smoother than PW3 was. Animations and Characters are done very well.

But some things Bug me alot:

    - AI Allied NPC's seem to love kicking your Target away once you try launching a Skill on it.
    - Alot Content/Arc's have been skipped such as ALL Arcs before Alabasta, All Arcs after Alabasta up to Water 7, Thriller Bark, Amazon Lilly, Impel Down, Fish-Man Island, Punk Hazard, Zou, Levely
    - The Wano Kuni Arc is some filler-like stupid fanmade looking crap
    - Lots of Characters are not playable although they're in the Game - have Animations & Skill but only work as "Support Units" (hopefully added later into the Game)
    - Playable Characters are not as much as i hoped, i assume there will be more but as (overpriced) DLC's
    - Deluxe Edition Content is nowhere near to be called worth it (do not waste your money for it)
    - Character Upgrade System is not very good, you'll have to farm lots of the same Missions in Order to progress your favorite Characters. Spare Coins are converted into Berry but you cannot buy Coins with the Loads of Berry you obtain.
    - Just like in every PW Game the Characters have insanely OP ones and really garbage Characters. Atleast 50% of the Character Selection is below average and nowhere close to be useful/fun.

Apart from that the Game is very fun and im kinda addicted to it.
If you can live with the negative stuff i listed above, the Game will offer you lots of Fun.

I will keep on Updating this Review if the Game changes or balancing/updates happen.

Edit: After about 30 hours you have seen the whole Game, trust me.
I spend more time listening the characters the scripted talking with each other, than fighting. After doing the whole Story on S Rank & S Rank on ALL Missions on ALL of the 3 Logs (East Blue, Grandline & New World) + EVERY Crew you can currently obtain to Crew Level 5 - then you're about to end your life.

The Game get's stretched for more wasted time in every other Mission. I usually spend about 1-2 minutes waiting for the characters to finally finish their chitchat to get my mission completed and get the next one...
