    Great game that breaks the mold of just copying WoW as closely as you can. Negative reviewers mostly just lie about there not being an end game (they probably haven't even done invasions or the outdoor elite areas) or combat being bad when it's solidly the best combat in an mmo thus far.

    It used to be that I had my reservations over the paid critics, I still do, but I used to also. That being said, the vast majority of the gaming community's reviews have become the thoughtless diatribes of 15 year Olds sperglords. Never take a 0 seriously, guys. These kids ratings this are clearly morons. It's a solid game. Not without its problems.     Best MMO I have played since WoW originally launched, and I have played them all. These folks bashing the game, I honestly have no idea what they were doing in game when they played because the game is amazing. PvP, PvE, crafting, wars, territory control, intrigue, politics, etc. It's all already happened on my server this week so far. People complaining about PvE likely did not actually play through the early dungeons or explore the awesome areas post level 20. The game is freaking awesome. Period. Sad to see so many people bashing it who I honestly think never actually played it.… Expand

    For someone who has been playing video games/MMO for 20 years including WoW, FF11/14, AION, Runescape, BOD and GW. New World is high quality. Yes not perfect but no major issues.

    Combat is fun. PvE for once is not dull. The game feels alive and crafting is amazing.

    Giving it a 10 because it represents what the game is worth. Not to counter bad critics. Clearly a lot of minecraft and forntight players here - sorry kiddos, mummy and daddy spoilt you too much    … Expand

    This game is unique and probably the freshest MMORPG this decade , it's an action combat MMORPG so take that into account if you want to get this game for the PVP aspect , game is stunning and feels like a survival sandbox where everyone is equal.

    Try it before you KNOCK it , i know i jumped on that hate bandwagon and man I was wrong.

    Good game , Fun exploring the world. The Crafting system is complex and engaging. Didn't try PVP but the PVE aspects are fulfilling. The game didn't add anything new to the formula, But that's OK , My only complaint is the long queue times. Hopefully that's something the company will address soon.

    Everything you do in this game seems to be worth doing, gathering, crafting, questing or just exploring, all works towards making you stronger. The game works on a very social level, being very pvp focused.     It is very refreshing seeing people actually talking in the chats, even if its memes or trash talking the game forces you to actually talk to others if you want to find a group for whatever quest, dungeon or defending / attacking a fort.

    Begone thy dungeon finder!

    I understand people leaving negative reviews when they are used to clicking a button in a dungeon finder, waiting in queue and watching youtube.
    Or just slashing through mobs being OP because you bought the BIS gear from AH with the Token you bought for real money.
    None of that **** here though, you gotta actually work for your leveling and gear.

It’s not quite as big a leap as WoW was from RuneScape, but it’s still a leap. I love the graphics and the combat, which actually feels like an action game (unlike ESO which is an action flavored regular MMO).

    This game is extremely addicting. As for the long queues? I onky really experienced it the first day of launch, but everything ran extremely smooth as I immersed myself in Aeternum after the 1600 player queue. The next day, the queue was near instant.

    An original world set in a sparsely-used time period in games, I've found New World to be a fun and refreshing take on the MMO genre.

    Хорошая игра. Главное новая и не идущая стандартными дорогами.
    Игра не без минусов. Есть баги, но такое у всех игр на запуске, не хватает кастомизации, мало серверов. Но это всё пройдет.

    - No hay que realizar pagos mensuales.
    - Aporta muchas horas de juego.
    - Nuevas mecánicas para el género.
    - Gráficos y banda sonora agradables.
    - Sistema intuitivo y con una curva de aprendizaje baja, no por ello pierde complejidad

    Definitely better rated than here. The game is good and everyone complains about the waiting. Choosing another world is probably out of the question for many, although Amazon wants to offer free transfers.

    So many things done right in this game. Huge variation in things to do when leveling up. PvE and crafting (2 things i swore never to grind again in an mmo) is actually quite enjoyable. Time will tell if endgame PvP can sustain the game longterm.

    Awesome modern take on the MMORPG - I’ve finally found a replacement for World of Warcraft.

    Great graphics, and even runs smoothly on lower spec computers. Combat is fun and engaging too.

Every evening after work I spend a little time in the game, and now it's enough to take a cap. I recommend to return to this wonderful New World… Expand

    After comparison with price+quality with current world of warcraft and playing it a bit more ~35 hours can surely say we were hungry for the new mmo products. It isn't perfect with version 1.1, it's less then month after release.
    Setting 10 just to support the developer if non-biased i'd rank it around 7 but lets get shortly to pros and cons:

    Needs better optimising the settings. 16 ggb ram is recommended, 8 ggb ram, even with a good videocard will be only possible to play with medium settings. Well, if that possible of course, i've never seen personally MMO's with such beatiful pictures but in the same time system requirements yet :)

    pros: great combat system and non-target is made much better then it was in asian setting game "Tera" back then.

    One of the few "Western" stylish MMO's, since most mmo's are asian-style.
    way better crafting system then wow has, crafting is very important here for your character, it's surely one of the main activities of the game

    Very good pvp-wise. Only here you can shoot with musket as it feels you're wielding AWP in CS. It's totally unique for an MMO.

    No limitations due to classes. Basicly your character may be any spec you want depending on gear. Respec is very cheap(stat respec), respec with weapon skills is free any time in the city. And yes about weapon specs. Basicly you choose 2 weapons to combine, which use some common stat to empower and you max stat to the one you need with your gear + talent points. If you want to go from for example sword+hammer to fire staff/frost gauntlet - you can store your streight gear in the bank, respec everything to intellect/focus/const, get cloth gear with these stats and go level your weps to unlock weapon talents in the open world on mobs or in pvp after you got some skills. PvP gives much more experience in weapon skill then PvE. TLDR; your character can be any class, you don't need to level alts as you do for example in WoW.

    P.S. most hate is from wow players about quests/mobs, people think all mmo's are same as wow and should be done as wow, when in lineage2/GW it's quite similar to new world. Jeez please just go buy your Vanilla 3rd time a row or return to your Scammerlands and let people play the new game, thank you    … Expand

    I simply can’t fathom why this game is getting so many bad reviews this game has been the most fun out of all the mmos I’ve played so far (eso ff wow) combat is fun and engaging your playstyle and skill play a huge roll I’m currently level 40 and I’ve stomped players up to ten levels above and I’ve been stomped myself by players 10 levels lower then me.     Addicting game, amazon needs to power up the servers capacity, but at least if you choose wisely u no need to wait long queue. Game with almost NO lag, no important bugs, beutiful world and non anime based MMO is always good.

    I love every moment of this game. It always finds the way keeping you hooked up. Spent hours gathering and crafting and it was actually fun for once. Its still in the beginnings, of course there is many negative sides of it. but when you consider other mmo's launch days, this one can take the win of it. Everything feels worth doing and the crafting ( which is hate in just about every other game) just feels so connected and right in this game that I am actually bothering with it, just like in the TBC and WOTLK WoW days.… Expand

    Smooth gameplay, fluid combat, amaizing and complex graphics, the fauna and foliage are abundant and on point. The sky is really well done. The moving particles are also on point. Class customization is all up to you! Very enjoyable as a solo. Regions can be overtaken by a npc faction called the Corrupted!! Take your time and enjoy this game. It's just up hill from here!!

    New world has a huge focus on PVP and Crafting. Pvp is unique and a lot more involved than most MMOs. You'll find yourself fighting for land, forts and missions to try and overtake one another. Also being able to flag up for pvp rather than just having pvp dedicated servers is a great way to handle it.

    Crafting is amazingly in depth with this game. Not only do you need to gather materials to level up each crafting attribute, the crafting tables in the towns themselves have to be leveled up to make higher tier loot. Makes it a faction project to start getting the next tier loot rather than just grinding for endless hours.

    Where this game does fail is in PvE. The combat is fun enough, and some of the enemies are cool. In general though, enemy variation is some what lacking, and quest can be bland. Very rarely do I get a quest that I am excited to do. When a good quest does come along, it's great! Ive only had that happen a hand full of times though.

    In the end, this is one of the best MMO launches I have seen in a long time, and an amazing base to build off of. As more content gets added to this one, it'll easily be one of the best MMO's out there. Till then, I will just call it a good start. So if your in it for nothing but PvE, I would hold off till the first DLC is released. If you love crafting and PvP, this is a great game for you already.

    (P.S. Not an Amazon fan boy. Really don't care for their company all too much. Just can't deny that this is a good game.)    … Expand

    New World is an mmo that could be straight out of 2010. It hardly adds any new ideas to the genre and therefore feels dated in content. The faction system offers interesting possibilities for wars between players, but is not yet balanced. New World demands a lot of time from its players, but does not actually give anything in return that we have not seen before. Graphically, everything is fine, and although the game has microtransactions, they are only of a cosmetic nature. There is no subscription: for the entrance fee, the entire base game is open to you.

    New World is such a large MMO that we will have to spend our time in the vast world of Aethernum. While some mechanics or functionalities don't have much of a place nowadays, it has other things that seem to me to be genuine and cutting edge in terms of massively multiplayer online development.
