    Exactly how i wanted an mmo game to look like a third person perspective MMO with detailed and well controlled combat system, maybe it misses some of the mmo social element to it but i enjoyed the game so far.

    you don't depend on wasting time to level up another pj, you just level up 1, time is valuable enough to waste it leveling up 2, 4, 6, 10, different pj to be able to play with other weapons or classes.    … Expand

    I have enjoyed the leveling experience, it took my about 50 hours to hit level 60 which is the cap at the moment I am writing this. For the $20 I spent, the 50 hours of gameplay was well worth it. Not a game that draws me in for long periods of time, but I do truly enjoy playing it here and there

Apart from the events of its beginning, it can currently be played without problems and with great fluidity.     Customer Service: I had no problems buying, installing and playing. As for support due to problems, I could not evaluate it at the moment.

    Cost / Benefit: Excellent. You only pay for the base game which has an affordable price, does not require a monthly subscription, the cash store is only for cosmetics and does not sell power-ups or gold.

    Duration of the main story: At the moment it is short but it is expanding with the addition of content and this adds up since it has continuity.

    Relevance of past content: For now it is good since it is a relatively new game and it has great activity in its different areas.

    Mission entertainment: Acceptable.

    Reward Gratification: Good. It is always possible to acquire an upgrade or useful materials.

    Approach: Focused on the gaming experience in its two versions, PvP and PvE.

    Class balance: It does not have classes as such. The different styles are in the process of adjustments, currently decent. It has the advantage of being able to rotate styles with the same character for greater versatility.

    Instanced content mechanics: Interesting. It contemplates a great variety of mechanics which require visual attention of the environment without saturating the scene with effects. It's immersive.

    Communication with users: Constantly improving, currently very good.

    Expectations for the future: Good. Marked trend in improvements in communication, improvements in the game, addition of interesting content and consolidation of bases.    … Expand

Every evening after work I spend a little time in the game, and now it's enough to take a cap. I recommend to return to this wonderful New World… Expand

    Really enjoying New World.
    I play along with some friends, and we take our time... no rush. And when we reach the "endgame" the game will be even better than it is now.
    It's always the same with the need to be max level in one week, players out there complaining "oh no no content!!!". Every time the same thing...

    Lots to do. I enjoy the farming loop, keeps me engaged, especially when trying to beat other players to recourses. Story is.. ok. Also get fable vibes from it which I like.

    Started out in a rough spot but is getting better over time. If you don’t like a little grinding it’s probably not for you. The grind is much less than other MMO’s though.

    Despite a lot of issues, new world is a lot of fun to play. Especially the first 300 hours are a real pleasure.

    Lategame is lacking, however devs are giving their best to improve the game.

    New World is one of the better MMO games that I've played, and I've played several. It definitely has its fair share of bugs, but Amazon Games is very quick about patching and does a good job communicating with the players. The combat is one of its best features. Compared to similar MMO games (Elder Scrolls Online, Blessed, Neverwinter, etc) the combat is smooth and fun. Movement feelsNew World is one of the better MMO games that I've played, and I've played several. It definitely has its fair share of bugs, but Amazon Games is very quick about patching and does a good job communicating with the players. The combat is one of its best features. Compared to similar MMO games (Elder Scrolls Online, Blessed, Neverwinter, etc) the combat is smooth and fun. Movement feels real. From swinging weapons to harvesting resources. It doesn't feel cheap, cartoony, or arcade-ish. The graphics are awesome. The world looks and feels alive, especially if you're on a server that isn't super low population. The game has huge potential. Now to the not so great stuff.

    Leveling isn't too hard, but it is a slight grind. But if you've ever played literally any MMO, then this shouldn't surprise you. The crafting system needs work. The good thing is that you can potentially craft the best gear in the game. The bad thing is that its nearly impossible because of the way they have it set up currently (trophies, crafting gear, food buffs). The grind to max certain crafting skills is also extremely hard and tedious. There is a lack of good pvp content at the moment. The wars are pretty fun overall, but they aren't really something that happen enough to consider true pvp. They have Outpost Rush, but its really not great, and if you're on a low population server its hard to get matches going. They recently introduced a 3v3 pvp arena mode, and I think that is going to be the first step in a good direction for New World pvp. My one and only true gripe with the game is the lack of content currently. Once you've maxed your character the only thing left to do is the repetitive grind to max your gear score. Once Amazon has added more content (pve and pvp) I really think the game will be great.    … Expand

    I played WOW before it
    This game is really better in graphic , in battle system, inventory system, in-game economy (Without farming bots) and so many more thing
    But cap 5 group is really low
    I have so many suggestions for it, if devs listen!! :)

    Absolutely love the game, cant wait to see what the future brings. At 600 hours and I still never run out of things I want to do

    It's fun. I like the combat, the no classes and the crafting. Not sure why there is so much hatred for this game and don't really care. Why? It's fun.

It also lacks the ability to upload your own guild symbol in the form of a png or bmp image (It would look unique!) ... The respected Amazon Games Studio development team is trying and putting its soul into the game, the game world is expanding noticeably ... P.S.     I purchased the game Saturday and played it for hours all weekend. It's like a Greedfall MMORPG. I plan on putting hours into the game and I feel there will be lots to come to the game in the future.

    I like New World. I have played many MMOs that are available but also returned to WoW, until now. After starting with New World I had the same Feeling years ago with WoW. Now I have quit WoW and only play New World. There i so much potential in this game and I hope the devs will continue to make this game even more great!

    Frequent patches, responsive developers in the forums. Games not perfect but I got 200 hours in, and I am looking foreword to more.

    What's good about New World?

    First, it has a top notch gathering/craft system that makes travel/exploration worthwhile. New World is one of the few MMOs where you can walk out of town, chop down a forest, cut it into lumber, then craft some weapons or furniture from it. Overall, I've found this part of the game to be quite enjoyable and probably the only genuinely unique thing about New World.

    The weapons/combat system is solidly engaging. Actives/passives are based off of the type of weapons you use and your choices of specialization. It's got a lot of room for expansion and fine-tuning, but it's pretty good as is.

    Travel is slow. A lot of folks complain about the lack of mounts and the Azoth (resource) cost of fast travel. As I said before though, the gathering aspect of the game makes this palatable. If you're picky on your gathering, you're not going to enjoy the travel though. If you gather, make sure you have the +Azoth chance perk on your tools and, combined with your Inn and a house or two, Fast Travel won't be so bad,

    The quests are typical. Go kill mobs and/or loot their chests for quest items. Nothing new or surprising the whole way through. Stay in your level range +/- 3 and it's all fairly easy to solo without reading the text or really having to think about anything other than efficient travel.

    For me, the biggest flaw of the game is that it doesn't really change. From your first 10 levels to your last 10 levels, you're fighting the same few NPCs -- boars, bears, wolves, bobcats, cougars, crocodiles and a surprisingly limited variety of undead pirates.

    I guess you could toss in rabbits, buffalo, goats, sheep, elk and turkeys too. But all those are really just there to be hunted as they wander around. Rabbits and turkeys are one-shot kills at every level, so you can't even really count them at all.

    I'd say the game has roughly a dozen distinct fighting enemies from beginning to end. Only the names and levels change. That was a problem with Dark Age of Camelot when it released in 2002. But New World makes that game seem like a living Monster Manual by comparison.

    At Level 1 you're killing boars and undead pirates with your wooden sword. At high levels, you're killing boars and undead pirates with a legendary weapon that doesn't look or feel much different. Your armor has improved, but it's probably not all that striking either. You can dye it, but the colors don't really pop enough to make that exciting. And no matter what you do to look good, you'll be outdone by a low level who just paid for the visuals

    In the end, we're left with a leveling trip that was fun enough, especially when no one seems interested in launching big MMOs anymore. But it's not the kind of fun that really makes players excited to do it all again.    … Expand

    So many things done right in this game. Huge variation in things to do when leveling up. PvE and crafting (2 things i swore never to grind again in an mmo) is actually quite enjoyable. Time will tell if endgame PvP can sustain the game longterm.

    It ist the MMO i Ask for. The Combatsystem ist smooth and challenging and Not that generic "Log in Tltarget and press your 238 Keys and macros".
    Te world is coherent. The game only lags in variety in Monster and Questdesign.

    Great game! Finally a good mmo with awesome graphics. It's nice to wander arround and to look at this beautiful new world.

    New World is an mmo that could be straight out of 2010. It hardly adds any new ideas to the genre and therefore feels dated in content. The faction system offers interesting possibilities for wars between players, but is not yet balanced. New World demands a lot of time from its players, but does not actually give anything in return that we have not seen before. Graphically, everything is fine, and although the game has microtransactions, they are only of a cosmetic nature. There is no subscription: for the entrance fee, the entire base game is open to you.

    New World is such a large MMO that we will have to spend our time in the vast world of Aethernum. While some mechanics or functionalities don't have much of a place nowadays, it has other things that seem to me to be genuine and cutting edge in terms of massively multiplayer online development.
