Dec 23, 2015If you’re a fan of Warhammer, and you long for a tactical strategy game that captivates you for hours and never forgets a mistake, Mordheim is for you.
-
Nov 26, 2015A brilliant strategy game that asks you to think carefully about every decision, pushing your tactical buttons in every conceivable way.
-
Dec 7, 2015Not the prettiest game, not the easiest game, not even the most elegantly designed game. But a great game nonetheless. Painful fun for the whole family.
-
Dec 3, 2015Mordheim is a lot of fun, despite its rough corners, if you are patient and willing to live with harsh consequences.
-
Feb 19, 2016Based on a classic, but bringing new features and perspectives to the table, Mordheim: City of the Damned provides a challenge, with some interesting party and game management thrown in.
-
Jan 15, 2016Translating tabletop Mordheim into digital world was a titanic challenge for developers from Rogue Factory, one executed very well. The only issue is the lack of factions, which - when published - will make the combat even more interesting.
-
Jan 4, 2016Mordheim: City of the Damned can be both punishing and rewarding, and it all depends on whether or not you are willing to accept a somewhat brutal challenge.
-
Dec 16, 2015It's a really hardcore strategic experience, unforgiving and hard to master. But if you are a Games Workshop fan, this is a really unique experience.
-
Nov 30, 2015Mordheim: City of the Damned is a rewarding game for the right player, specially after a few rounds of skirmish matches when you understand the mechanics.
-
Nov 27, 2015In the beginning, I was heavily disappointed – and not only by the sub-par visuals. But under the ugly surface sleeps a tactical masterpiece with immense depth and an excellent character development.
-
Nov 24, 2015Mordheim manages to create a turn-based experience that is not quite like the now seemingly industry-standard XCOM but which finds its own way to tweak the genre.
-
Nov 23, 2015Mordheim: City of the Damned is the kind of game that can occupy tens of hours for a player who quickly understands its core mechanics and is prepared to accept that missed attacks, failed battles, and bankrupt mercenary companies are just temporary obstacles in the quest for wyrdstones and greatness.
-
Nov 21, 2015Don't let the difficulty of Mordheim: City of the Damned throw you off. The initial experience looks punishing, but a few rounds of skirmish matches will help you understand the mechanics. From there, you'll bond with your squad through the trials, triumphs, and failures you experience together. Mordheim: City of the Damned isn't about winning or losing, it's about making the best of the bloody journey.
-
Dec 18, 2015Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical game with very deep battle and team management mechanics. Although it's much more difficult than average, its tutorial is explanatory enough even for the inexperienced player. Some imbalance issues prevent it from being a really great game.
-
CD-ActionMar 4, 2016Just like the tabletop original Mordheim is very difficult. It needs 12 tutorials to introduce you to its complex tactical and strategic layers. [02/2016, p.65]
-
Nov 28, 2015Mordheim brings all the complexity of the board game it is based on, so it's ideal for fans of the original and for those looking for a challenge.

Dec 8, 2015If you were hoping for a new squad-based game with the finesse of XCOM, or the many tactical choices of Jagged Alliance 2, this is not it. Mordheim is dumb. Mordheim is flawed. Mordheim tries hard and doesn’t succeed. This is not a happy Christmas, everyone, but the misshapen horror of Faschnat. It’s your present from Krampus.
