Jun 3, 2014Nice experiment in black and white and red
The game is on the same principle as once Limbo. A black male running isolated against white background from left to right. The color red loosens the game on but not more. The story takes players even less with like Limbo.
The style is ok but after the umpteenth game of this type you are just fed up. -

Jul 21, 2014Monochroma looks great, and it wants gamers to get highly intoxicated by its extraordinary variety of emotions. However, even the most beautiful stylization of the world cannot fix imprecise movement of characters in a genre where perfect accuracy is essential. With a considerable amount of irritating puzzles Monochroma is thus the perfect recipe for tantrums.

games(TM)Jul 19, 2014In truth, it's an average game, with the music and the presentation proposing a more dramatic and meaningful experience than is actually manifested in the gameplay. [Issue#150, p.118]

PC GamerJul 16, 2014Despite some memorable imagery, Monochroma plays like a budget-price Limbo. [Sept. 2014, p.69]
