Minit is an adventure game where you play as a little white blog looking thing as you attempt to end a curse that ends each day after one minute.
You have 60 seconds to do as much in this game as you possibly can...
    completing tasks for new items...
setting up a domino effect to then be able to complete other tasks... and progress through the different points on the map...
however the world doesn’t reset itself, every time you die the progress you’ve made is saved, so this game isn’t asking you to beat it in 60 seconds.. It actually took me around 1 and a half hours... but I set out to uncover as many of this games secrets as I could find and its full of them.. there are optional areas, items, and mysteries to discover…
as you crawl through the map you’ll unlock new respawn areas, and if you find a certain secret in the game you’ll be able to later fast travel through each..
It’s a really hard game to try and describe...
it’s hard to go into detail without spoiling the mystery of the world...
you simply find a sword on the beach and this sends you off on an adventure to life the 60 second curse...
There are the occasional enemies, secret hearts to give you more health
it’s fun and challenging remembering where you need to go with your newly acquired item, and realizing you can now take this shortcut with your new ability, the game is hard to pick down...
it never came close to feeling like it overstayed its welcome, it left me wanting more..
I do feel there was a lack of buildup to this games ending... it felt a bit abrupt but I enjoyed my time with minit...
This is one of those games that I feel anyone can pick up and enjoy..
    I give minit
    an 8/10

It's okay. The aesthetic works for the most part, the music does its job, and the puzzles vary from slightly below to slightly above average. The problem is that the game is over in 2-3 hours, half of that time is spent just trying to figure out where to go next, and the whole "60 seconds" mechanic is never put to particularly inspirational use. Minit has an interesting concept and I think it accomplishes that goal satisfactorily however I feel like the concept, for me, has a low ceiling. This is an adventure game about discovery with very little action until the very end. You discover items that you use to accomplish your goals and discover more. I think it took me an hour(ish) to beat. Its alright.

Fun and interesting concept; Could have been implemented with a bit more time per "loop" but still a great game. Fun puzzles and a cool boss to end. At the end I noticed I apparently had only found a small portion of all secrets, so it is possible to miss ALOT.

Minit is a fun experience. It tries to emulate that classic PC games vibe, at the same time it tries to be a competent dungeon crawler. It succeeds in both, but at the same time the game is too short. You inevitable want more, but i didn´t find much of replay value.
    Anyways, its a great game!

It's really simple, but I think it's an original idea, so I recommend it to everyone

    Great game!
Overall a breath of fresh air. Feels like a Zelda game. Great music, adds a bit of flavor to the adventure. I don't really know if it's worth the 10 euros, because it's about 2 hours long. But it's hella fun. Defenitly buy it if it's discounted. Forgot to mention that I love the exploration, but you can sometimes need to search things up because 1 you're

Minit is a very simplistic indie game vaguely reminiscent of A Link to the Past, if the game was almost all very simple puzzles and exploration and much less combat. The central “twist” of this game is that you have only sixty seconds to accomplish whatever task you’re trying to do; once that minute is up, you’re dead, and you respawn (all your items intact) back at the last safehouse you visited.

This is one of those hypersimplistic indie games that will take you an hour or two to beat. There isn’t really a whole lot of content here – the graphics are extremely basic, as is the gameplay. You move around, you can poke stuff with your sword, and as you move around the environment, you gain various upgrades which allow you to push around crates or chop down trees or whatever else. It is almost metrovania-like in that you gather upgrades to unlock new parts of the game.

The thing is, there’s really not a whole lot here. The game is very simple, and it is very short by design – you need to be able to navigate through the world in a very small period of time (less than a minute), so everything you do is not terribly difficult TO do, it just is about knowing what you need to do and then doing it.

The result is that you spend an hour or two exploring the environment, trying to collect items that are strewn about, figuring out what it is you need to do to progress. The story is incredibly basic and pretty vague (I don't even know why I only had a minute to do things!), which is hardly surprising given that the game is what it is, but at the same time, so is the gameplay. The puzzles are all very simple because, again, they have to be – you have to be able to solve them in less than a minute, and generally more like 30 seconds due to the fact that you have to actually navigate to the puzzle to do it.

This is the sort of thing that I’d expect to see come out of a game jam or something similar – a very simple thing that someone can spend an hour or two beating and then be done with it.

And while I appreciate on some level the hypersimplicity and the central conceit of this game…

I just didn’t really have fun playing it. It’s just kind of... there. There's really nothing to engage you as a player beyond the bare-bones concept.

I got this as part of the Monthly Humble Bundle, and those games tend to be pretty hit and miss, but this was a miss for me. It didn’t really waste too much of my time, being as short as it is, but I can’t really imagine recommending this to anyone.

The time loop concept might be an interesting idea but really doesn't help to make this more interesting as it's already very simple as it is with its minimalistic graphics and mechanics. If you don't mind repetitiveness and trial and error, you might fancy this "artsy" game, but it most certainly isn't for me.

The ideas are there, but it made me appreciate the polish in the little details in the top-down Zeldas so much more. Since it's short I do recommend it for fans of the 2d Zeldas

The game runs too fast and isn't playable if your screen's framerate is above 60... yet the game doesn't include an option to lock the framerate to 60.

Haiku Review: The concept is great / It will not cost you much money / You should play this game
Favorite Thing: There's not much you can do in 60 seconds. It makes for an interesting challenge.
Least Favorite Thing: The time limit can get pretty frustrating when you're stuck.

    Good:

    So-so:
    - 2-color pixelated graphics (just pure white and pure black pixels), with DOS fonts gives it a distinctive look. It's ok for an indie game I guess. Much like e.g. for ADOM it was ok to have ASCII "graphics". Though of course it would be a better game with some proper 2D gfx
    - the fact that you get teleported back to home location every 60 seconds doesn't really change the gameplay much. It basically plays like a normal adventure game. Further in the story, your home location gets moved forward so that you could progress.

    Bad:
    - I really didn't like that there is no use of mouse, even in menus. Most likely, this game was done for consoles? I guess it was, cuz the arrow-key movement is for for consoles, and for PC it would be better to some something Diablo-like, with clicks to move

This "time loop" game looks interesting at first but its appeal wears off to a large extent after about 15 minutes of play, when you understand that it's basically an adventure game with a minor inconvenience of regular teleports to the starting point (which also replaces reloads).

Minit is a nice game with a simple story. You need to break a curse, which loops your life at each 60 seconds.

The idea is simple and the "60 second" concept is very interesting for an exploration driven game. But in the end, the most important thing, is that the concept results in a fun game experience. I highlight the pixel art style, that I liked a lot and the awesome soundtrack.

Rouge-like gibi ama tam öyle de değil. Grafikleri harbiden kötü yani bir art style yok oyunda.

A charming indie game that has funny dialog and difficult enough puzzles. Combat is not my favorite but reminds me alot of the old Legend of Zelda combat so its still a plus. Nothing in the game feels out of place and always finds a way to fit in the games weird but enjoyable story.

    Fun and original game.
It has a black and white pixelated graphics. But graphics is not the important thing in the game but the time mechanics.

Drawbacks maybe that mid-end game the puzzles to solve are less intuitive and you need many 60 secs attempts to realize what you need to do. That can be a little bit frustrating.
Also the game is too short and should have more content

The 60s timer brings the players unique fast pace gameplay. It combines the item collection system and the home unlocking system to provide a well-balanced reward loop. Mint makes its players feel proud of themselves when they figure out a puzzle even after many times of death and expect the next exploration.

To die every 60 seconds could quickly get old, but Minit is smart enough to avoid any kind of frustration during the adventure. Purposely minimalistic, the pixelated art direction shines with personality.
