Nov 4, 2016With great graphics, artistic visuals and excellent attention to detail, dark and mature storyline, intense atmosphere amplified by realistic gameplay elements, this is the only game which makes you feel like you really are in a post apocalyptic world fighting for survival.

May 30, 2016A really good, story driven FPS.
I am not a big shooter player, but in my eyes this was almost a perfect FPS game.
And I am not even a big fan of the post apocalyptic scenario...
Good story telling, great graphics, great game play. -

Mar 23, 2016Nice FPS game with awesome graphics. Atmosphere is really good and story is original and unpredictable. The design of monsters is interesting. The major drawback of this game is that some shootings are really boring and uselessly prolonged. fairly well done remake

Aug 5, 2015Metro 2033 Redux still has annoying bugs like NPCs getting stuck and auto save in locations where you can't get out. And sometimes you die, because your gas filter runs out during a cut scene... right after the game autosaved.
The game is great at its core, but all this crap in an "improved" version is absolutely unacceptable. Quality assurance and testing for this game have completely failed. -

Feb 22, 2015It's been a while since the game was released, but it is very playable and merge you into a very deep atmosphere of apocalypse. Good graphics and non-linear story.

Feb 15, 2015I you like games that tell you exactly where to walk, have no scavenging, economy and strategy: by all means. Try this when you are fighting in the dark: shoot 1 bullet and all the enemies will walk towards you and you can kill them without moving with a headshot on their helmet lights. FUN!

Jan 10, 2015Enjoyed the game, it's post apocaliptic feel could be a bit longer for my taste or not so linear. This game needs a bit more the feel of the older game forgot the name in chernobyl where we could go where we want. The game didn't felt so linear like this one altrought it had same wibe.

Dec 14, 2014Never played the original so I cannot compare, however I enjoyed this game.
Downside: it was very short (7 hours) and there were very few enemies in total.
Upside: The graphics were good, the story was great, I even remember the characters name after finishing the game.
Verdict: Worth playing. -

Nov 29, 2014A must have in your game collection for those familiar to the franchise and new comers. Excellent visuals, exciting gameplay and a down right MUST HAVE! Such a great price, even for a remake. The user score speaks for itself (in this case).

Nov 23, 2014Metro 2033 was a flawed, but good game. The Redux does a wonderful job of taking away those flaws while also updating the graphics, leaving us with a game that is great and feels modern despite its 4 1/2 year old underpinnings.. It is a shame that being a "remake" of a cult (i.e. not super popular) game it didn't get the press/critic coverage that it deserved.

Nov 20, 2014The original 2033 was already a great game but the redux version gives it a newer graphical and interface overhaul. This is the way reduxs are supposed to be made. With the additional content, veteran players should have no problems with experiencing a great game all over again. It has lots of re-playability.

Nov 19, 2014One of the best game out there, better than those big budget AAA fps. With beautiful graphic and strong storyline, this game definitely is one of this year's best game released. The is also quite difficult and scary, also the action is slower and more intense than the other FPS.

Nov 18, 2014I love this game. There is a lot of detail in the game in general, and the storyline is great. The developers did a great job at immersion throughout the game.
-
Nov 18, 2014On PC, there is no reason to have this because we already have the full graphics the consoles didn't get, and even though it adds seamless transitions through missions and new places to go, I don't want to sacrifice the stylization of the game because of how out of place everything looks in the redux. However, if PC is not available, by all means buy it on next gen.

Sep 9, 2014One of the most atmospheric and immersive first person shooters of recent years becomes even better, by enriching its gameplay, normalizing its performance and enhancing its graphics, with the use of the latest 4A engine features. Its main disadvantage is the discontinuation of price discount for those who already own the original Metro 2033 upon official release.

Aug 29, 2014Whether you have played the original or not, this is a game for anyone seeking atmosphere, story, and FPS gameplay blended into something amazing. Do not miss this experience.

Aug 20, 2014A valuable remake that makes the original Metro feel complete on PC.
